I got the GOTY edition which gives me all of the first DLC including the Mechromancer/Psycho characters. I'm working on two additional characters along with my Zer0 character, it's why I also have a level 40+ Commando and a level 20+ Siren.

I'm pissed because the Zer0 build I want requires me to be at least level 68 and I can only go up to 61, so I'll need another UVH pack to get to level 72.

I never did see the true hype in these games. I can't even force myself to play it alone, I always needed someone else to help me enjoy it. Destiny is definitely outshining this game to me.

BL2 is a game you're supposed to play with other people.

I heard Destiny was actually somewhat boring, but I'll wait to see it for myself.

I'm aware, but it's the type of game with a concept that should be good enough for single play when nobody is available.

I'm mostly excited for the customization and dress up parts of the game.

I actually did play the first part of BL2 with my sister, but then she decided not to play anymore, so I played the rest of the game myself. I had a blast because even though I liked the first Borderlands game (Raikiri and I beat that game a few years back), the second was superior in every way--story, gameplay, etc. Either way, I had fun playing the game by myself (except for a few bitchass enemies), and I'm still not done playing it.

The atmosphere is what really kept me going. It's funny and quite endearing at times, and as close to an FPS dungeon crawler as we'll get for some time. My only gripe with the gameplay is honestly the enemy AI. It's really lacking, and chaining headshots is child's play.

The 1st one had a shallow story, you basically did what people told you to do and you probably didnt know why.....unless you paid real close attention, to this day, I forget the story except that you are looking for a vault and vault keys and you fight a tentical monster at the end, after that its a bit hazy...

The second one did outshine the 1st in about everything....but the problem with borderlands so far is that it definitively needs to be played in coop for true enjoyment, not that you cant have fun without a friend but it makes it 100X better.

and Destiny looks to much like a serious borderlands and I am kinda pessimistic about that, but I am only getting it because Bungie made Halo...

Loved the games for the humor, as well as the gameplay and all.
Buuuut, once you beat the story there is nothing left to do. Other then re-roll another character and do it again.
Which upset me a bit for Borderlands 2 when they kept saying there were missions/quests you can repeat, which there wasn't. At least in the base game, dont know about DLC.

I'll definitely play it, but not buying it.
Also not to big of a fan of 'prequels.' Since you kinda already know the ending to them since you've played the games that take place after it.

Helped my friend beat BL2 on the normal playthrough and we're working on the Tiny Tina DLC. Probably going to start on the True Vault Hunter mode, he's playing as a level 32 Siren. I have a level 46 Siren, level 42-43 Commando, and a level 56 Assassin.

Got a level 51 Siren, level 50 Mechromancer and Commando, level 43 Psycho, level 61 Assassin. Currently stuck at the level cap, if anyone wants to give me a $10 Playstation gift card so I can buy the second UVH pack that'd be awesome.

Also got a legendary class mod for each class (Hunter, Berserker, Mechromancer, Soldier, Siren, Psycho) , a few pearlescent weapons, and a few legendary weapons and shields.

Watching you talk about Borderlands reminds me of the time I would focus on one game for a lengthy time. I lack rare unlockables for my games, now. It's now beat one to move to the next or play the multiplayer. Games should have more things like legendary weapons to begin with.
