Windows 8 doesn't seem necessary as Windows 7 was. I haven't heard of anything great about Windows 8. Why does my computer need to be more like my phone or a tablet?

Also, I'm going back to Nintendo gaming. The communities are awful on console, yet PC are repetitive and fake. "GG WP" all day every day. If not, then DC's or someone speaking in a language that uses numbers and clicks.

I dare one of you to play the new Mario game with others locally and say it's not one of the best experiences ever. Also, they're coming out with some major solo RPG games that are exclusive. Plus, hot chicks are always on that 3DS playing some Harvest or Pokemon.

Basically, console gaming way too aggressive and competitive while Nintendo is pure friendly fun. People are taking shooters way too seriously especially. I thought 12 year old cursing was bad, but I have not seen a game where a full grown man is not yelling at 9 o'clock at night.

Fox is right. I currently have four games I bought that combined are around 160 dollars and I haven't even unwrapped them from the plastic yet. To be fair.

It's sort of like a situational moment. When I feel like I want to play them or when someone comes over. Such as movies. Instead of being like everyone else purchasing the same amount for seasons of a show you already watched, I purchase games. Blu Rays and Seasons will sit there for years without being touched by anything except for dust, but we still get them.

There's other games Nintendo wants to localize from Japan. Don't particularly care about hot chicks since there's a difference between good character design and sexy character design, but there's plenty of other series I want to get into that Nintendo has that aren't the big franchises you hear about all the time (Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, list goes on), like Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter, and Xenoblade (the predecessor to the JRPG that's in development for Wii U).

I simply don't have enough time to play games like I used to, but when I am able to find time, I'd rather have fun playing games I know I'll enjoy, not get *****ed at by people. A while back when my brother used to stay at my house, he would play CoD on his PS3 and you could hear him cursing people from halfway across the house. That's the attitude I don't want when I play.

My best bet in terms of gaming as of this moment is probably handheld. And Nintendo hands-down dominates the handheld industry, no pun intended. Whether you like Nintendo or not is irrelevant, you can't deny that they do.

As far as being on topic, I'm a little iffy as to whether or not to get a PS4 or the 360 successor. Price of online play will not be a deciding factor for me, that's for sure. But always-online will affect my choice, as it will effect many others. If it does end up having it, I'll probably go PS4. But I really want it to not be the case, simply because I hate Sony's controllers.

Windows 8 is not better then vista.
Windows 8 shouldnt even be named windows since theres no multiple windows function it should be window 8. :/

As for fast boot thats a lie the systems that run 8 are better then the systems that run 7 so it seems they boot fast.
But install 7 on your brand new windows 8 laptop then tell me how much faster it boots up.

Plus windows8 uses a such a retarded amount of ram to run its dumb why you think every windows8 comp comes with 4gb of ram min. :/

But anyway linux master race for pc os, but we don't have games yet but once we do linux will rule. ; o
My shitting laptop that runs this garbage processor
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Turion+X2+Dual-Core+Mobile+RM-70&id=485
Boots up in lubuntu in 7seconds and I have a 3gb ram max. lol

linuxSteam2014 lets go.

It seems as though Microsoft alternates between good and bad OS's.

Windows 8 - bad
Windows 7 - good

I'll wait for whatever version comes after 8. It's what I did in the case of Vista (got Windows 7) and I'm glad I did.

That's exactly it. Everyone is playing as if they're in a major league of games with every game, yet they're playing by themselves against strangers and getting upset. Just the other day I was playing a casual arcade PSN game online and some guy was just whining the entire time, so I say "Calm down, the game literally just started." So all he's doing is screaming louder and over my voice. Eventually people just start yelling a noise so they don't hear you. Even though there's mute options. It happens frequently. The worse ones are ones that just quit, but don't leave for a bot to replace them or whatever. They just sit there and give away AFK kills or don't contribute.

It's best to play in teams so you don't play with strangers, but that's another issue. Everyone has their own schedule and likes. Everyone is on a different console. So your numbers dwindle from how many people have the console, how many people have this game and when they have a chance to play it.

With Nintendo you can play with a date or anyone that comes over. Forget a chick that wants to watch a scary movie, pop some Mario in this bitch and lets go. Nobody says "no" to Nintendo, either. I don't see how you can so no to Mario. Hell, even their hardcore gaming is like Super Smash, and everyone loves that shit.

But now it is what you said and what I have noticed. They're marketing and branching off with their main console to single player games besides Zelda. Batman, Bionetta, Fire Emblem 3D, Monster Hunter, Monolith. Awesome freaking single player titles. PS3 single players are awful. Just dreadful. Any good ones are on the PC, anyway. I would never stick to a handheld like you because I just love to relax and play some games on a screen with a controller. Handhelds are definitely good for waiting rooms, but seem to be getting replaced completely by phones.

Monster Hunter isn't even primarily single player (well, it does have one), but the point of the game is to play with other people, not against them--and I've only heard good things about how the game encourages cooperation, not fighting and *****ing. Because it's completely possible to want to play a multiplayer game that isn't competitive. And it's better when you do play with people you know. Because quite frankly, due to the difficulty scale of the game, you could end up fighting one of these:

Spoiler: click to toggle

for 40 ****ing minutes to over an hour and still die pretty easily if you don't know what you're doing. But if you're with people you know (Wii U supports online play, 3DS supports local which kinda sucks but take what you can get I guess), it's way easier and more enjoyable but still just as possible to get killed.

Of course I'm looking forward to the new 3DS Zelda title that's coming out later this year, but I want to play Monster Hunter at least since I've been wanting to get into a new series, and I'll need people on my team.
