From the look of the hair it doesn't seem like it was really made with just the default brush, unless you put a texture on it. And I'm pretty sure you didn't put a texture on it.

Thanks. I actually thought I did it too unmistakably. Sixteen different colors to streak the hair based on the shadows of each strand. If you lean in closely I think you will find they're simply lines. I rushed in the brightest color and those are the most noticeable. See how they're going in the wrong direction or are a bit wide?

Seriously, thanks. Didn't think someone would think any of it would be a texture.

That's actually really amazing.
The hair is my favorite part. The mix of colors makes it look extremely vivid.
Pain me an Anko plz.

Are you really calling out conditions as a way to insult? Just saying retarded was fine but to say autism...smh. No respect.

I'm pretty sure you're aware that there's brushes available that lets you do that same thing but faster, like this:

The only downside is that you can't set the hue of each line individually, so they'll all be the same color in that particular brush stroke. You can kinda get around that by setting in the base tone, then going slightly lighter with a different brush. I see why you made some of the red extend into the skin (so that it looks like shading via hatching, or maybe you just went outside the lines, and you can fix that with a mask), but it looks tacky (especially in the back of the head) in my opinion.

Yeah, but I wanted to do default paintbrush since I've done default airbrushing most of the time. Seeing how that's not a default brush for Gimp, I used what I had. But since a paintbrush is a paintbrush, it's messy work. Of course I didn't go outside any lines unintentionally. Although the strokes aren't intended for this style, it's what I was going for and ended up with. It is an anime line art after all. These shouldn't be painted because of the lines. It's an entirely different process to coloring them, which I showed you before.

Since I'm usually more orderly, I felt like a change of pace. Something cloudy in the eyes, messy hair and murky colors. Even with your suggestion, it wouldn't have helped because as you said those can't use multiple colors, so I'd be doing the same thing with more lines in the wrong places. When it comes to hair, anime is patterned. From the shades, the "spikes" will be half shadow and half light. Meaning, shadow, light, shadow, light, shadow, light. It would have gotten in the way.

Crack Photoshop. Buy a small or medium Intuos 5. Never go back to painting with a mouse.

If I'm not mistaken, Fallen gets his money from sucking dick painting houses, so he gets plenty of practice in that area.
