Instead of Higher Drain and Seals, lets nerf the damage, I mean lets be realistic, its not even like biting sharks or a high pressure dragon, its just some god damn ocean wave used to have a water base on the ground.

I agree with most of your points but it is stopped by any shield i.e wood shield,mud overturn and it takes quite a bit of chakra and if you have a decent amount of stam it isn't that painful( my naga survived 3 of them but then again Naga are op)

You need some spidey senses to react fast enough and use gaeshi right before baku hits you.
Then call me Spider-Man.

ON TOPIC: It's ridiculous how good the jutsu is. A handseal increase would be the minimum thing needed to nerf it.

Sarah. Balance speaking, Baku SHOULD be good. However, it should not be as powerful as it is. But it's not just the hit that it inflicts that makes it good. It's a combination of factors already mentioned that makes it outclass a LOT of other techniques. Daibakufu should be the strongest suiton if I'm not mistaken. But how many people honestly use that for a power jutsu when they can just use Baku?

However, if you want to be talking about "realistically speaking", the flooding (which includes the dirt the water picks up) and rowning kills more people from tsunamis than the actual wave itself...although I can't remember if it was water or snow that basically became as hard as ****ing concrete when it hits somebody at that speed (probably snow). EVEN STILL it's not important. The balance reasons themselves justify nerfing it in other ways. The power of the technique is the least of the concerns, and if nerfed in those other ways, would probably make its damage more reasonable. But nerfing a jutsu in damage hardly ever is the best way to nerf something. Hell, you can just change a simple mechanic and cause a dramatic decrease in the use of a jutsu/tactic. Just look at mirrors.

1. Its too fast. All it takes is a sneeze at the wrong time and your KOed.

2. Its damage is too high for it to be faster than all the other element supers.

3. Its range is just......stupid.

4. It takes like 2 KOes of WP.

5. With speedy its just flat out rediculous.

6. It's a super ninjutsu. Don't be afraid to put it on a higher delay per use.


I'm not sure what its drain is and i really dont care. Its too op. even when you block with max passive

1. It's not too fast. If you're standing at point blank, you're stupid because it has a good deal of hand-seals. If they have something that reduces handseal time, that's just a combination of things, even then, you shouldn't ever be at point blank unless you're a taijutsu user.

2. It's damage isn't that high given it's actually moderate speed and blockability. I'm not sure if you're aware, but when you block, you basically negate 90% of stamina damage. On top of this, when you block, it doesn't matter what you get hit by, vitality or stamina damage, you negate -all- willpower damage. This move is still easily blocked. Also, Renkuudan is faster. I believe kaze gai is as well. Doton supers are instant/homing. Katon super damage is unblockable and moves at moderate speed. Same for raiton's. Let's also not forget the large amounts of EP that it takes to get that damage that high -as well as- the high capacity you require to do the damage as well.

3. The range... how is that even an object of consideration? I don't really see what the point of that is. Block. Period. Block. Karakuri. Shushin. Defensive jutsu. It doesn't pull you in and it doesn't negate your defensive capabilities no matter what style you pick (Nin/gen/tai/weapon)

4. No, it doesn't unless you're dumb enough to take the full damage or get put into a situation that prevents you from taking it all. Really, there are a lot of tell tale signs that lets you know the jutsu is coming. Again, stop acting like you're absolutely defenseless and incapable of reacting defensively towards jutsu. This game is not purely based on offense vs. offense. There are -many- defensive capabilities acquired from choices and natural defenses everyone is entitled to. Why does everyone that posts a nerf topic act like there is no such thing as a defensive maneuver be it blocking, or using shushin.

5. That's speedy's thing. No one gets to pick speedy. If you get it, that's a perk, but again, if you're fighting a suiton user, you should know never to force yourself into a position where you can just take jutsu up the ass without ever even seeing them before impact. That's a 101 rule when fighting any ninjutsu user, actually unless you can do something about it.

6. It's delay is relatively high, actually. Also, it's a super? Really? I wouldn't even come close to considering this thing a super. It's a high grade jutsu, sure. Not a super, but if someone officially deems it a super then whatever, I can see how it could be considered so as well. Anyway, I disagree with everything you've said, except this last part. This is the only thing that could be POSSIBLY considered, and even then it's not really needed.

You need to realize that noobs these daysngo offscreen and do it. But no your too busy trying to become invincible as a ket'

Havent played this wipe so im not sure if it was changed. But the Baku last wipe was just fine. You could see it coming and hold X to make it do virtually no damage. It wasnt OP, but it wasnt a useless jutsu either. Why would you change that?
