We have to begin somewhere, if you pointlessly do things without even the slightest thought about it how can anything ever get better ?

We all hopefully love our parents right, and where we live (hopefully), and if you haven't committed anything that would threaten your exsistance or some elses i'll assume that you enjoy life. Well, don't you think Earth is responsible for us being here, and being raised? Your parents raised you but the question is where?

Negatives thoughts like "I don't care" result in more problems not solutions, and as proven we the society in this current stage are easily manipulated. Instead of going after info on deaths, organizations and trying to figure a way to stop them by banding together, why not just protect the being that raised you, and place you lived on for so long now.

I agree that it won't help as much as we think in the start, but it needs to be done somewhere. Not just energy though, there are hundreds of different ways. E.g Do you really need to throw your garbage on the floor when there is a bin a couple feet away from you? (I've seen that alot, im sure a lot of you have too) In the long run this'll influence a positive change in not just the environmental but the people in general. People who don't care, somewhere in their hearts have some sense of negativity which only brings more negativity. At the same time it goes the other way around too.

My parents annoy me, all the dang time. Turning off the computer won't stop us from other habits.. Like going down the street, I throw trash out the window and still people will leave their computers on.

If everyone were to do what you do then the earth wouldn't be the way it is now would it? It would be completely different. One person makes a big difference, if everyone chose to do what you do then obviously nothing will be changed. Think about it. Its a slow process but greatness takes a long time. The CN tower wasn't built in a day.

So little energy would be saved and I already doubt that's your aim since you mentioned people AFKing with sharingan from the start.
If you meant anything you said, you'd start recycling, spend less time on the computer in general and suggest ways that were more effective.

I play NFF because I enjoy it, and just because I don't spent my entire life devoting to this cause does not mean I don't care. Something is only a waste when you don't enjoy it, so lets say you do something and you don't like. <--- that is a waste. I am using my opportunity on NFF to influence others to make decisions that'll help the future not destroy it. The idea of it is to get people to start caring, at first I didn't think NFF could handle it. But obviously I'm giving it a try right now and your speaking as though I have other plans. Believe it or not this'll be my career, I am going to become a big influence in the world at one point with my music. This is the start.
That little energy you speak of in the long run will not only be greater but it'll increase in numbers. If people can change, then others can also be influenced into changing. Furthermore, what makes you think that I don't recyle and if you haven't noticed I don't spend much time on NFF anymore.

This is quite a low start for a career choice, but go for it. A blog on facebook would have gotten more views, but sure. Aim for the people who don't equal up to a hundred that leave their computer on during sharingan training is just a joke to me if you're wanting people to not waste things. o.o
Oh, and if you don't like something, but spend time on it and get paid. Is it a waste?
I actually don't care that much from what you're suggesting. Not saying I don't care about the Earth since I recycle everything and even live where there's a decomposing site to throw my unused vegetables to decompose back into the Earth, but this is just silly to me. If you want to impact the world, you're doing it wrong by posting on this forum to save energy about a thing such as this. o.o

I'm ok with it, only if you do something about the cool downs. They are really slow and a big cool down can take from days to a week or two to be gone and by that time you're so bored you just don't feel like playing much anymore.

Yes its small, I can agree with that and I repeated it three times. But its easily accessible, and seeing as I spent all that time and have noticed the pointless decisions such as keeping your computer on when your sleeping I decided to post this. Believe it or not no matter how little or stupid you feel that it sounds, it'll help. Now for your blog idea, theres tons of them out on the web. I want to get with people onto a more personal base, everyone knows me on NFF, and my voice is far more easily heard. I'm doing my part. If it was my decision and AFK - checks were added I'd do something about all of those factors even doujutsu

Thats a whole different story, its the same with education and school.

What are you really doing in life fallen, what are you here for? If NFF brings you joy then how could it be a waste of energy? But if we can reduce it in someway then why not go for it? Its the little things that count.

I'd say no, even though you said if NFF was the only program, because... Let's face it... It's never the only program. I fall asleep to music, so that is always running. I often watch my netflix when I'm in the car, and unless I'm the one driving, or there are important people in the car (never) I'm gonna fall asleep... So, even when it's sleep during the day like taking a nap or something. My laptop is on... It's only off whe- nope... it's hibernating then... My laptop hasn't been -off- for a long time o_o

if your trying to save energy you dont just need to turn off the computer you need to unplug the shit too..

all of you with the desktops with those huge as power strips and a bunch of plugs that you leave turned on all day and all night [you know who you are] just unplug it at night if you know you are about to go to bed k? o.o :kk:

id unplug mine myself but my parents are dipshits who think they know everything about everything and they think if i unplug it the router will get messed up and they will have to do it all over again

they are so ignorant "show them some proof on the internet" isint an option
and my brother leaves the laptop on with the charger stuck in the outlet
draining energy all night aswell

nothing i can do about this im a kid my brother is 25 my parents are.. my parents.. can i try to tell them something about how wrong they are? no..

ignorant grown-ups -_-

These are all IF's btw, no AFK checks would be forced. I think it would be better if people just decided not to keep their computers on but meh...People deciding not to ez would be too

What, NFF is trying to save the Earth now?lol...

If you are on the computer a good bit, its actually better to leave it on rather then shutting it off every time you walk away from it. As it takes a bit more power for it to start off and shut down. Also turning it on and off repeatedly, can wear your computer down if done enough; as things break over time of use. So really, you could be useing up more energy by turning it on and off o:
Both me and my Dad leave ours on 24/7. My Dad works on them, so its more time and energy trying to turn it on and off.

A afk booter seems like more of a annoyance then actual good. Looking at it game wise, seems it would just annoy people more. Unless it would boot them after like 2 hours of no movement, then I could see that being, better.
Other then that, most people who are 'afk' are probably just looking off screen. (Probally at the TV) So if they were AFK booted, they would probably just sign on 5 mins later and repeat once they see the screen change.

It would simply make no difference to me, since I am rarely ever afk for more than 3 minutes at a time.

I hear alot of people bitching about waiting for cd's, but am I the only one who actually does shit while I wait for sayyy a 50k cd ..?

I turn off my computer whenever I don't use it. I try to save as much energy as possible. (mostly because I'm poor and electricity is expensive)

About only thing I could see the most useful for a AFK boot. Would be if the game tends to lag if there are a crap load of people on. Kind of like those DBZ rips, once like 80 people were on, it would tend to lag alot. But once that AFK booter knocked 20 people off, could feel a bit of difference.

So unless NFF suffers from alot of lag due to mass amounts of people, I dont see much use for it.

Also how did you combine AFK booter + Saving energy hawk? LOL
Seriously odd to combine those two.
