Passives are strong element to NFF, and they're specifically what NFF is all about in terms of progress. These are the things that determine the difference between you and other characters.

Glossary (Use Ctrl+F to navigate after copying it in.)

1. What is a Passive?
2. Where do I learn Passives?
3. Passive Points?

1. What is a Passive?

A passive is a skill added to your character that isn't exactly usable, but on all the time under the conditions of the passive. Think of them like; Perks from Call Of Duty. Instead of a leveling system, NFF goes through a Passive System in which your character gets Passives throughout their progression to improve their character. The Passives would determine who they were in the end once they finish.

There are hundreds of Passives and they all affect different things from small things to big things. Getting them would make your character better at different and individual things, making Passive Collection require not only some planning but intelligence.

After you get a Passive, it'll have points on it explaining to you exactly what you have to do to increase the Passive and increase it's points to its maximum. Increasing a Passives points makes it so that you improve in its mastery and normally gain more benefits from that Passive itself compared to before.

You can only have 50 Passives so choose carefully.

2. Where do I learn Passives?

By clicking the Icon underneath the Jutsu button, you will enter your Passives listing. On the left side will be your list of Potential Passives you can learn and on the right side will be your list of Passives you own to your name. You learn through there. Through different adventures and quests you'll find yourself getting more and more potential passives, but becareful to learn as fast as possible, as each Potential Passive disappears after a relog, so learn it while you're on.

To learn a Passive you'll have to utilize Passive Points to purchase them.

3. Passive Points?
Passive Points are simply points used to affect your passives. Once you've maxed out your Passives there's absolutely no reason to use them. Passive Points can be used to forcibly increase a Passive's score point that may be difficult to increase on your own, or to purchase a Passive. The maximum amount of Passive Points you can have on you will always be 40.

In order to obtain Passive Points, you must do interesting tasks. Missions grant Passive Points, along with getting Medals. Bounty Hunting also grants Passive Points.

Each Passive is useful in its own way, as each one has its own different set of purposes. Some may also seem useless, but it's useful to another character even. A Passive can sometimes allow you to even learn certain Jutsu, as simply being part of a Clan doesn't mean you learn their bloodline technique. Instead you have to have the passive that states you own the Blood of the Clan to learn the Kekkai Genkai. Some passives may simply be there to allow you to learn another breed of passives or sometimes they may just have a hidden meaning. Don't miss an opportunity to take a passive that seems amazing though, as you may never get that chance again.
