It lets you see what is going on around you when you are KO'd or in some other un-seeable condition.
Balance is power. We all need balance in our lives and in the lives around us. For every one of us out there that is angry, someone is sad. If someone out there is being hurt, another person is protecting someone close to them from getting hurt. These are some of the ways that balance is achieved.

You shouldn't be able to see outside of sand sphear unless you have the eye... >>
Trying to learn a bit of Moonrunes... I've decided that 赤眼付 is now the official spelling for Akametsuki. Basically means "Red Eyes", though, it kinda also means "Expression of the eyes"

The eye stops Darkness gen from effecting you or at least thats what it is supposed to do.
We black people make good Bomb Techs because when we run people dont ask why and run with us. When a white person runs people stop and stare like wtf. When asians run... We cant help but laugh because we all have seen Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I just feel bad for those that cant keep up.

Sand Eye = Great for picking up your fallen chuunin scroll and seeing while koed + Manipulation is up, allowing for soem ko attacks.
