Is there any major plotline for this show or is it just mostly about the follies of this club? |

At some point, the club has to work together to form a doujinshi to sell at Comiket. Though, from what I remember, that's more in the second season. |

So then the first season is mostly around Saki trying to pull Makoto out of the otaku life and the trials of the club? Not that it's a bad thing, I mean it is interesting and funny. It's kind of a shame though that this is on right before Umineko no.... When Seagulls Cry. (screw that title with too many Ns and Ks!) It would brighten the mood after such an odd and serious show. |

I'd be all for switching the order and showing Genshiken second. |

I think Genshiken works well as a primer for all the crazy things in Umineko then we have Dennou Coil afterwards as a nice calming show. |

I think the lineup is good as-is. Genshiken is lighthearted, then Umineko is MINDFUCK, and then Dennou Coil brings us all back to semi-reality. I don't think we should move Umineko to anywhere aside from where it is... I like starting with happiness and ending with awesome-ness. |

I was on MAL and noticed that the OVA comes chronologically before the second season. Will we get to that in club or are we on our own? |

I don't know. Did they throw that in one of the DVDs? Is it on another DVD as a separate thing? Did they even do anything with it? Let's just hope that this series doesn't throw us any more bombs like that last episode with Saki and Madarame. It was like watching time die. It had funny moments but the episode felt like it was incomplete without at least another little story in the background. |

It seems that the Genshiken OVA was included with the Kujibiki Unbalance series that Media Blasters put out a couple years ago. (So much for a "Complete" collection) It's kind of silly how the Genshiken box had the KU OVA while the KU box had the Genshiken OVA But I'm with you on that one episode. I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying this series, but that episode was pretty bad. |

Sry, but the show's boring as hell. I'm glad it's at 6, so I can just come in late in Tues. |

There is a plot to the first season which involves the club trying to justify their existence to the student council. But there is a lot of character development that happens in the first season that makes the second season more fun. But you really need to watch the 3 OVA episodes to understand a few things about the second season. Especially where the new character is from and what the deal is with her. |
