hell yeah! ... I voted for it just for the chance of alot of Pantie shots!
In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law.....? Is it like the hand of God hovering above?

At least, it is true that man has no control, even over his own will.

It seems that every other episode or so ends with Rin making some extreme jump that no mortal should walk away from. How will she jump next? Off of Everest? Across the Sea of Japan? Over the Springfield Gorge? The possibilities are endless!
Val-We're going to have a press conference
Guido-Sounds great, Val. I can press 20 tons. How about you, Lorna?
Lorna-I can press pants, or press an attack, or press a point...

Or maybe she jumps so far that she ends up on another mountain where she ends up racing some dude in a Toyota Tureno AE86 owned by a Tofu shop.

Yeah, but now it's no longer just a show about Ogata and discovering her love for these RideBacks but now about fighting against an oppressive government... using RideBacks. Then again, with only like 12 episodes you really don't have too much time to mess around.

Remember when this show was about former ballerinas and motorcycles with arms? They had to go and add depth and stuff.

The show is a little too deep with the whole government oppression to pull itself out and go back to what it was before. It's sort of a downer for me since I was hoping that they would do something different and keep that government stuff as background (or use it as a device for minor conflict like taking away RideBacks) and focus on the people (who we barely know).

Agreed. If not that, then I wished they'd developed the RideBack racing thing. I wouldn't mind this being another racing anime.

It is like after the 5th episode, the producers were told that the they only had money for another 7 and should get to the point

It's like after the 5th episode, the producers said "Hey, you know what's awesome? That other anime, Flag! We should take our already-successful show and fuse it with that to make it THE BEST THING EVER!"

FlagBack - A rebel group fight against an oppressive government to reclaim their flag. A former ballerina star (Ogata Rin) and a frontline photo-journalist (Saeko Shirasu) must decide if it is worth it to join the fight in their hybrid motorcycle/robots known as "RideBacks". (10 episodes)

Now we just need a video editing program, some flashy DVD covers, a few DVD-R's and *BAM* profit.
