Of course I'd like to know what's happening with Tenma and Nina, but I'm sure they'll get to them soon enough.

And tonight you shall get your wish! After what seems like 11 episodes without Tenma (Who is dangerously close to losing his man character status.) it seems he will return!...

...and then he'll hop on a train to Hamburg, just to mess with everyone.

No one remembers him...not even Kumajirou.

Are people enjoying the end of Monster? Or is it becoming too convoluted with characters and shocking conclusions that you miss the good old days of just Tenma (and maybe Nina too) being important?

Well, I do feel that the mass of characters suddenly finding that they're all related to the plot is a bit ridiculous.

The show's never just been about Tenma, though.

True, but I think he's the main person we wonder about because he's been in more of the plot.

...And because he's the person we've been telling René to cosplay. If we had any other characters in mind for that sort of thing, we probably would be more worried about them, too.

Yeah but it's all about the story surrounding him. He was the origin of this whole situation and it's totally designed so that we care about him the most!! Everyone else is important and crucial to plot developments (Johan especially) but it's all about the Kenzo!
What am I singing a lot lately? "Uminari no shirabe ni, kurokumo wa sora he tsudou. Arashi no yobu kaze wo takaraka ni. Nazo meku kotonoha ni majo tachi wa fukumi warau. Yeah, exactly. The real story is the one that Tenma is tangential to. That is, naturally, the depth of the show. Tenma is a helpless victim of the circumstances at hand, attempting to struggle against forces he feels are his fault but are, in many ways, crushingly beyond his control.

Tenma represents the human side of all of us, while Johan is the stress and work of our everyday lives. the fact that we are 'framed' by the responsibilities of those lives lead us to decisions we never thought we would be faced with. Tenma represents mankind's struggle with the life that has been forced upon us rather than the life we would choose for ourselves.

Sounds doable. But please, keep your thesis to the appropriate marked thread. Thank you. xP

Johan is the stress and work of our everyday lives.
I resent that.

So Runge's finally doing something useful. He may be the only cop left in town, but he's armed to the teeth... :>

Even if he didn't really do much the whole show, I always found his "typing" highly entertaining and a skill I wish I had.

*types* March 24 1996 Tenma ate 2 poppy seed bagels, drank 2 cups of coffee, went to the bathroom 6 times from 2:40pm to 8:26pm, and fell asleep in a stairwell at 11:34pm.
