Hello,

My name is SAM, I started to play CN 700 days ago. I started with NPO, but after a while I felt I need something new. I called The Federation my home for 2 months, until Legion threatened to crush us and we disbanded. (sounds funny eh?)

However, in October 2006, I founded the MCCF. In December we started growing. It didn't take long we called the people in the MDC and the NpO our friends.
I can't say we were very organized, but we were a great little community. Then in Great War III, the Orders called us to fight.
Of course we followed this call, we knew what that meant, and we were ready to suicide. We attacked /b/ to help Viridia, and I must say..we didn't even do that bad...at least until ASC entered without any treaty obligation and attacked us because "we were the weakest party attacking /b/.
Although they had some really large nations and ZIed our nations multiple times, we continued to fight.
It didn't need a lot to realize that our morale decreased daily. Then on one day some NPO guy came and invited us to cxa's IRC channel. The day the MCCF met the CXA the first time. One update later the CXA -a small alliance with some large Members- declared on the ASC in our name, and well..afterwards there was not a whole lot left of them. That was the first time we met them...and it shouldn't be the last time.

It didn't take long we started the merger talks. We were to communities and had pretty much the same structure, both some really loyal Members. We had over 100 Members but most of them were small, CXA on the other hand side had just 30 Members but most of them were pretty strong. So that fit well, too.

And here we are. We have survived CN for over a year now. We have fought several wars supporting our allies. We have been the fasted sanctioned alliance ever and still are. Currently we are focusing on quality(that is why we decreased our Member count before increasing it again).

People compare us with a fat kid with a chocloate bar. We are peaceful until some "&"/ steal our chocolate. Then we get hella angry. Have you ever met an angry fat kid? Trust me...if it wants its chocloate bar back it will roll over you, you won't have a chance to hide or escape.

In the MCXA I have been Co-Chancellor since our conception. The government system seems to be a bit complicated, and it is a merger compromise, but as long as it works we won't change it.

We have 2 permanent Co-Chancellors and 11 High Council Members. 2 of them are appointed by the Co-Chancellors and 9 of them are elected every 2 months.

In Real Life I am a police psycologistin Germany, I love Football, cinema, and internet. I am fascinated that people from all over the world can be connected that easily. People claim that I drink a lot of German beer and am also drunken...but that is just some bad PR joke. :P

That was basically everything about me the MCXA and our history. I hope you enjoyed the read.

Don't hestitate to ask questions. :Run:

welcome to carnival, and thanks for stopping by and joining in our fun.

Question? You say you have been co-chancellor since your inception, that is a great testament to your skill, how do you keep other members active in the allaince, if they want a leadership position, and are not able to get it, do they just leave the alliance, or do you find other jobs for them to do in the allaince to keep them active and happy?

A very good question.

First of all we have 11 seats in the government, that is quite a lot, some people even say it is GATO like.

If I see there is a Member with a huge potential that run 5 times and never got voted in I will appoint it.
There are Members in MCXA that always run and never get voted in, some of them have other positions, some of them don't even want to run (Gopherbashi), and of course, some of them resign because they don't get voted in. A very famous example of an individual losing the elections and resigning is ChiefBurn1Love, who was the leader of NEAT, that just lost a war and now had to merge into someone else. ;)

We have a lot of positions to fill, but I can't help Members that just want to be in the High Council and don't want to work for it. Usually people that want to get in, have to have jobs in one of the Ministries before. Newly elected High Council Members usually also serve(d) as a Minister or Deputy.

If they don't want to work, and still resign...we don't need them.

And yes, we are multicolored, but mainly blue, that is also why we are in BLEU.

When alliances merge, there are often trust issues between the two membership groups. What did you and your CXA colleagues do to avoid that?

Well, we often tried to mediate and make compromises. We asked everyone to be as objective as possible, and counted all pro and contra arguments of an issue.

Nowdays I couldn't even tell who is CXA who MCCF who MDC and who joined after the merger.

How do you go about a merger without stepping on toes? Besides the alliance leaders speaking of it, how do you deal with the allies of the other merger partner?

If you want I post another thread with my personal "How to merge guidelines".

What proportion of MCXA is on each color and is there any kind of regulation as to what percentage of members have to be on blue?

Well, as far as I am aware of we have 50% on blue. But we currently consider moving more nations to blue, simply to imporve the trade situation there.
