This was the first game released in 1999 was a brilliant game. You are the cop Tanner an undercover agent, you have to do series of jobs, such as lose cops on car chases, deliver cars to a certain address. You have 4 cities to drive in, Miami, San fransisco, New York and Los angeles. Other modes such as carchase and checkpoint were playable, adding to the shelf life of the game. Another fantastic feature was 'take a ride' mode, where you drove your car around the city, with cops on or off it was fun. My only critisim is that you couldn't get out of the car, though this after all was a driving game, but you should have been able to get another one when yours was wrecked. I didn't like how the felony stayed with you, this was annoying, be bad once, dodge the cops for the rest of the game. The car was very easy to handle and the acelleration was great. The roar from the engine was satisfying.

Game gets 8/10

Driver 2 was another great game released in 2000 this game allowed you to walk around and get the next car, as it was a driving game, you had no need for guns. You play as Tanner once more as you dodge cops, ram cars and chase suspects. With new cities to explore such as Chicargo, Havana, Las Vegas and rio de Janeiro. This game has 'Take a ride' mode too, for those wanting to relax for the missions. Again this game kept the stupid felony rule which in effect wrecked the whole idea of take a ride. The great thing about this game was there were secret cars, such as the mini. The gameplay can be a bit glitchy. The cars this time feel bulkier to drive and slower compared.

Game gets 7/10

Driv3r. released 2004. this was trying to copy grand theft auto, it introduced guns, boats and motorbikes to drive. The game was full of glitches and the cops on this game where complete iddiots (such as flying trough the air, shooting through their own men and car) Nice and Miami are the playable cities in both undercover and take a ride. It has istanbul as unlockable for take a ride, branded by players "drive round istanbul and do nothing" Again as tanner you do missions and stop gangs selling cars.
The cars are a little bulky but have a good speed and manovreablity but the game has too many glitches

Game gets 5/10

The latest installment of the driver series. Released in 2006, this game went back to its driving roots and remembered it wouldn't be another GTA Parrall lines is a great game set in new york, you play the first half in the 1976 and the latter in 2006. It features many cars, which in order to get, you have to steal, which can be a real pain if you want the police car. Nitros were introduced and added a quick boost from cops. Unlike the other games, felony is kept on the car, if you lose the cops, get another, unless you do something bad on foot with your weapons, then the felony stays on you until you enter a building like driver 3. THis is the most violent game, with blood being visible. Again you character TK (the Kid) dosen't like water,, you respawn outside when you drive/fall in. The handling on these cars are great and you get some satisfaction out of the roar of these engines. For the first time there is no take a ride, instead it is more like GTA in the way you drive places and do missions, which range from last car standing, to knocking a donut stand over and losing the cops. You can modify each car you have - for cash but these are cool from resprays to custom designs, to bullet proof glass.

This game gets 9.5/10

hope these were useful, I may add more in the future

Billy 1/4/03 - 27/3/08 RIP Buddy

Has jumped on the Anti - Shed, Fred and Dred bandwagon.... (class 66)
