New season, new drama. XD

No matter the time, the dizzying jungle of a city was alive even at this time of night. Times Square in particular was aglow with its own daylight, littered with lights of all colors, large billboards of popular consumer products and Broadway Shows. News flutter by in the tickers, speedy transmit of information to keep up with the sheer energy of this district of New York City. People who have yet to sleep were still up and about, enjoying the nightlife in varying states of inebriation certainly.

A fashionable young woman with long brown hair with red touches had been watched all night by many. Her flirtateous demeanor and ability to carry lively conversations made her the center of attention with ease. Most of the night had been with her friends, enjoying the sights of Times Square at night, hitting up a Broadway show together and then going out to drink. Good looking men bought drinks with a bat of her sparkling eyes and a smile. She truly knew how to use her charms to get her way! At some point of the night, the lively girl had seperated from her group. One could easily become lost in this district if attention is less than careful. She was alone, forcing herself to remain sober and trying not to stumble as she walked.

Her phone! The girl rummaged through her coat pocket to pull out her phone and texted: Where r u? A flicker around to look for familiar faces but too many people. Taxis and cars pass by too quickly, too much movement for her to focus on. She leaned against the side of a building if just to stay still and gather herself.

"Excuse me...Are you all right?" A gentle voice from the ether draws her attention. Next to her, a figure of calm and stillness in a pair of white costume wings. The girl who had spoken to her was a pretty if slightly pale skinned blonde girl in a dark and lacey dress, hugging a coffin shaped bag. Did she come from a show or some specific club around here? The girl had a visibly worried expression however, something that certainly drew curiousity.

"Um...do I know you?" She asked, trying not to sound slurred. The girl leaned in:

"You're a target."

"Huh?"

"You're being watched by some very dangerous people, Miss. I saw them targeting you. I think they wanted to rob you"

"What?" Was this one serious? Given the worry in her expression, maybe this blonde angel was a good samaritan. She shook her head of the dizzying thoughts. Where were her friends? Oh god, she was starting to get nervous. "Oh my god, should we call the cops or-"

The angel tossed a distant glance, her eyes widened and then grabbed for her hand. "Come on! Hurry miss!"

The pair would run, but where they were running was unclear to the young woman. Those white wings were all she could focus on while everything else around her seemed to speed up and past them. Who was targeting her? Were her friends in trouble too? She had been so busy partying that it never occured to her that she was being watched! The angel led her away from the brightness of Times Square, heading west. Which streets she would not know, it was all a blur to her, but she felt her body turn left, turn right, cross a busy street in the nick of heart pounding danger.

And finally, one more turn and they stopped. The girl collapsed to catch her breath, feeling her heart was going to explode. She could hear the angel trying to catch her breath too, watching the petite girl in her bleary vision. How could such a thin little thing run so far so fast?

"Did we lose them?" She asked the angel once she was able to speak, looking over her shoulder. There didn't seem to be anyone after them now. Wait. Where...were they? It was dark here, a cool breeze brushed past them. Was this an alley or a sidestreet? The smell of paint hung in the air, the ground was cold and had a dusty feel to them and she could hear the flap of tarp somewhere. Construction site?

"Mostly." What had once been a gentle voice that spoke to her was cold, somber even. The young woman stared up at the girl with wings with wings. What did she mean? The angel would turn to her, smiling cheerfully...and lifting a knife from the coffin-shaped bag of hers, a brief and visible glint caught her eye. The girl felt her body freeze and stopped her own breath.

"Wh-what is that?" It sounded like such a stupid question to bleat, but this angel girl saved her, right? It had to be protection. The angelic girl's smile fell and her eyes opened revealing dark onyx eyes with a faint silver ring. The girl's green eyes stared in wide eyed disbelief; was she imagining all of that? Those eyes looked completely...inhuman. A buzzing sound interrupts this nightmarish moment - her phone, thank god! She could call for help!

"You are an unfortunate soul." The winged one spoke in that somber tone again. Just as she reached into her pocket to grab her phone, the angel would dash towards her and knee her in the chest hard enough to send her crashing into the nearest wall. A plank and tarp fell over her and the young woman cried out in terror, desperately trying to push off what fell on her. The phone was lost in the mayhem now, clattering out of sight. Run, run her instincts cried out!

"You are her shadow."

"WHO?!" The girl shouted, finally tearing the tarp off. Green eyes met the dark and silver ringed ones for a moment, then she would feel the knife at her throat. The scream that should have come out by know remained locked, any slight movement could end her. The woman wanted to vomit from the terror of the moment. This couldn't be happening, it felt all too strange! The angel's hand would strike out and press against the mouth of the woman hard enough that the back of her head smacked against the wall again. The young woman winced in pain but was muffled by the angel's hand. How was this little girl so strong!?

"Her...the one that should have lost her hand. The one that should have bled out by now for her prideful actions." The angel says sweetly, her tone betraying the menacing gaze in her eyes. A flicker of the knife in movement, tip pointed down and stabbed into her leg. The woman screamed into the angel's hand, this pain! Why? Why was she doing this! She shivered, tears rolling down her cheeks, a beauty such as herself dying here was a fate worse than death! The knife lifts again and strikes down into her wrist - once, twice, three times.

The woman screamed into the angel's hand the pain just as unbearable as the last!

"However," The angel stopped her assault and continued with an eerie calm, watching the a drop of blood drip from her knife. It falls to the ground with a heavy plip. "She cannot be reached yet, for there is a kind talisman that protects her...however, her shadow isn't safe. I can still eliminate the shadow and then retribution can be satiated for now."

The woman's eyes widened. Eliminate?! Talisman? Shadows? What was she talking about?! The silver rings in those onyx orbs fell upon her again and the angel giggles softly. The cold of the knife pressed to her throat, the angel smiles at her prey: a final sight from a paranormal nightmare.

"Please die, miss." Sweetly spoken and and the sharp edge flicks to slide across her throat.

Welcome to The Summerland
The Summerland pumps irrefutable bass into the streets of Axiom. So close to the Hub, the only way through to NYC, it is physically impossible to get to one point without passing through the shadows of the vibrating music. Ellis sits inside, perched atop her normal placement in her kingdom. In the early hours of the morning, she is approached by a woman in black; small but significant security from outside the door. A chuckle escaped the read haired woman's lips, and she reaches for her phone.

Lazily, she pulls it open, bringing it to her form. The number picks up on the other end of the line.

"Your girl's in trouble, friend. You might want to get down here." She looks to her security, indicating for them to leave and do what needs to be done. Her tone is rich with desired enjoyment; this was where it got to be fun.

"I'll see you soon."

"If you can even see straight." Amaya shot to the phone, knowing the likelihood of a club owner to be out of this world by now. This was no time for jokes, nor was it time to be messy. Amaya sits at her desk in the early hours. Does she ever sleep? That is not a question work asking, as your answer will hardly be impressive. Nevertheless, she had received the call, and seconds later the phone alerted her a certain angel taking flight outside the gates. In one moment, she was there. The next, she was gone. It was simple to follow the trail. She did not bother to stop in to check on Ellis.

Flash forward to the darkest corner with the best setting for what was happening. How lucky. Kudo arrives to the scene just as the end plays out, seemingly falling from the sky to land right in front of the winged girl. Her dark eyes burn with fury as she glares into the heart of her. But there was little time for Amber to see it, as Amaya was charging right towards her with quickened steps. Given her latest stunt in the forest, Kudo had still not completely recovered from the wash of rage she had suffered from. Her hand reaches over to cup the girl's chin, forcing eye contact in the heated moment.

"What do you think you're doing? Stop trying to get yourself killed!" She seethes, though her hold remains gentle. She fights the urge to straight out hit her for her insubordination. "I didn't give you my details for you to waste them. This is exactly why you need to call me! Please, start to trust me!" Her tone is ripe with worry; at least they were in a location that no one would immediately find them.

Blood felt nice, Amber thought idly as she looked at her hands. The substance is slick thickness between her fingers before it would become sticky. The girl's neck she has sliced wide open and watched as she died, a gurgle of crimson life and tears. What a familiar precipice to see again...certainly that woman's shadow felt terror until the end, and that somehow satisfied her. It wasn't that person but the shadow sufficed.

Retribution.

A shadow traded for another, one that landed close and rushed to her. Cool hands cupped her chin and she had no choice but to return the eye contact. The silver rings in Amber's eyes were still present and though she was physically present, her gaze was far away. A smear of blood stained her cheek, she was still holding the knife in her right hand at her side.

"What do you think you're doing? Stop trying to get yourself killed!"

"Ehhh...?" That familiar musing sound she makes when puzzled, though held out longer than usual. It didn't sound right.

"I didn't give you my details for you to waste them. This is exactly why you need to call me! Please, start to trust me!"

"Why are you angry...I got rid of the shadow...I couldn't get rid of the one that had the talisman. The blood was warm and red, I didn't know shadows could bleed like humans..." She spoke with a somber monotone, smiling at the end of it.

"I haven't felt the sensation of a knife fllaying skin in so long. It felt good! Ahahahaha~"

"You've got to be kidding me." Amaya mumbled to herself under her breath. That look in her eyes, the way she spoke about her actions; this was not the girl that Kudo knew. And she would do anything to bring her back to the world of sanity, but in the mind of the teacher there was only one course of action to take. She pulled her hand away, resting the other on her hip idly. Amaya took her moment, sighing heavily into the air. The smell of blood started to take its toll on the area; at the very least, Amber had taken the time to get in a saver location.

"Snap out of it." She said cooly, her hand coming from no where to slap the blood stain from her cheek. Amaya looked down to her hand, noting that she had made contact with the blood. Her lip curled into a kind of snarl as she moved to wipe it away. But she was hardly done yet. Her dark eyes were back on the blonde form, and she moved to take hold of the wrist which held up the knife. Amaya lifted it strongly, and so suddenly Amber would lose all sensation in her hand forcing the knife to fall from the floor.

"Are you listening? How dare you do this to me." She growled angrily. "You get killed, and they spend so long bringing you back. Then at the first instance, you run off to try and get yourself killed again. I will not stand for this, do you hear me?" She asked, though it was more of an order than anything else. She dropped Amber's hand harshly, and the sensation within it would come back within moments. Amaya stepped forward strongly, narrowing her eyes on the girl as if to question her further. The stoic stance of the teacher was enough to threaten most, but in such a close proximity? It could have looked deadly.

Please. Stop me.

That was the pleading echo of a girl without guidance, once reaching out to someone who could. Who was forced to guide her, to be troublesome in the end. That girl and the girl that spoke now of shadows and talismens were both one in the same and yet not the same person at all. The smiling girl kept her eyes on Kudo, wide and far away. Where was the girl that had asked for her help now?

"Isn't that good? I got rid of the shadow...it bled so beautifully. So quickly because it knew fear at the demise."

"Snap out of it."

The sting of the slap across her cheek changed the winged girl's tune fast, her free hand reaching to touch the strike. What? But she had done right! Can this woman not SEE this? Amber would glare daggers at her but not for long. Her wrist was grabbed with such strength her hand went numb.

"Ahh!" She cried out, both in pain and frustration. The knife clattered to the floor and the blonde shot another hateful glare at her though the numbing pain. This one...she couldn't let this best her!

"Are you listening? How dare you do this to me." The woman's voice wavered into and out of the haze that was her mind. "You get killed, and they spend so long bringing you back. Then at the first instance, you run off to try and get yourself killed again. I will not stand for this, do you hear me?"

Her hand released, the winged girl doesn't even wait for the sensation to come back! Amber scoops up the knife and dashes to her feet, anything to get some space between them. Once she felt she had enough in distance, she would turn and hurl the knife at Kudo.

Hurling a knife at Kudo? She would have laughed had she seen it coming. This would be more difficult than she thought. There was always the option of hitting Amber in the back, but that was a route that she was too blind to take by now. At least, she would ignore the concept until she absolutely had to use it, knowing how it pained her. With a wave of her hand, a pocket of space appears in front of her; just large enough to allow the blade to fall right in. Then it disappears in a moment. Another dimension? No one would know where it went but Kudo.

The distance was short, but it was still there. Amaya pushed off the ground to run the few steps she had taken away, showing a speed that most would find unnatural. Amber could very well try to run, but the second Kudo’s hand makes contact with her form, she would feel that sensation again. No control over her body, as though it were slowly being absorbed. She would turn into an unmoving force, paralysed by the power of the survival teacher. This made it easier for Kudo to turn on the balls of her feet, her hand colliding with the throat of her student. By the time her fingers coil around the girl's throat, she would begin to get her sensations back, little by little.

She would not lift her. Instead, Amaya uses every ounce of her own strength as heightened by her adrenalin to force her from her standing position and into the nearby wall. "Try it again. I dare you." She snarls, her face close to the girl's for good measure.

Amber frowned as the knife...vanished? What in the world? "Shit!" She hissed under hre breath. Realizing now that she had little time to spare and no more real ammuition, she reached her hand out into the darkness, energy to create orbs. One ball of eerie light appears, two - but unfortunately for the nephlet, she was not quick enough to use them or run.

What in the world is this woman?

Contact! Amber suddenly felt an odd and horrifically familiar sensation coarse through her body, the orbs she created dispersed back into the darkness she drew from. No, this again! A flicker of the spire of magic glass piercing her, trapping her. NO! She tried to will her body to move, to do anything! Instead, it ends with the woman's hand at her throat and against a wall. The winged girl winced loudly in pain, the first real register of pain in this fight, though she tried to force herself to quell it by clenching her teeth.

"Try it again. I dare you."

The silver rings in the onyx pools focused on Kudo. Defiance, strong despite the pain she was feeling. The base of her wings were in pain from the press into the wall, she couldn't move but she was fighting not to show it in the least.

"Give me another and I will."

Another knife and she will try again. Kudo bears her teeth in an animalistic motion; too much time spent as another species recently has caused it to bleed into her burning rage induced motion. It had been far too long since the teacher had seemingly lost this much control. The small pocket of space appears once again; Amaya's free hand searches for a moment before she drags out Amber's knife. For a second, she holds it before the girl, as if to give her the chance. But instead, her hands curl around the blade, causing herself to cut her own skin lightly. She reels back with Amber, ripping her back before forcing her into the wall a second time; this time with less strength than the first, and less pain in toe. The handle of her blade then collides with her abdomen.

"Take it back, then." She hissed, the blunt force of the instrument still pushing hard against her form; fingers still curled around her throat.

The force against the wall a second time, thought not as hard as the first, would have been enough. The compounding pain blacks Amber's sight for a second, shutting her eyes. The darkness recedes inside again and her senses, blossoming from the inside out. The air was cool here, was that a breeze? Pain? The base of her wings, her forehead and her abdomen hurt like hell...but why?

I can't move...

Amber opened her eyes again, no trace of the silver rings present. Where...was she? This wasn't her room, it looked like a construction site. Most of all, it was hard to ignore Kudo-sensei with her hand around her neck, the base of the knife pushing in her abdomen and pure fury in her eyes. The winged girl would gaze back at her in soft, dazed confusion. There were only so few reasons why or how this would have have happened. The sinking feeling gathered in the pit of her stomach. She couldn't really move to confirm but she had a feeling it was worst case scenario.

"Kudo-sensei?" Not that earlier defiant voice, but the gentle familiar one. "Did I...mess up?"

"Kudo-sensei?"

Amaya blinks suddenly. Her eyes are no longer carry their silver lining, and she must wait to see if she is seeing nothing but darkness in those orbs.

"Did I...mess up?"

Kudo's grip on the knife loosens, it falls through her fingers so suddenly that it would have cut her more if she hadn't given it idle force to fall away. She does not initially let go of the hold she has on her throat, though it loosens significantly. Finally, after a few more moments of disbelief, Amaya believed her. She was back, and the darkness that had overcome her mind and form had been driven away. She bows her head for a moment, forcing the fire and pain out of her own eyes so she can look once more as an authority figure. But initially, she can't.

"I apologise." Amaya said in the moment, lifting her head once more to catch the eyes of her student. "I could not get here in time." Once more, she felt the hit of worry; worry that she couldn't do what Amber had asked of her. She was so unable to protect her from herself like she had promised. her hand falls from her throat and to her side. Though it would take a little more time for Amber to completely be able to move on her own. Amber would have all her sensation back within a few beats of her heart, though it may be difficult for her to walk in the initial instances. "I keep missing you when you need me." She said, ready to give an arm or more to the girl if she needed help steadying herself.

She hears the knife fall to the floor but only her eyes move. Amber is more aware now: she still was unable to move just yet but Kudo loosens her grip on her neck, her hands felt wet and heavy, the distinct scent of copper and the start of decay settling in. So the worst has happened...Kudo must of driven the darkness out of her somehow. There was a strange air of lucidity around them, a waking dream rooted in reality.

"I apologise. I could not get here in time."

Amber slid down along the wall until seated, feeling it might be best for a while until she could get the feeling in her body back.

"Not your fault..." Amber responds, still gazing up at Kudo, eyes flickering to her hand. Was she all right? Had she caused that wound? The pang of guilt was difficult to shut away.

"I keep missing you when you need me."

"Are you okay?" A point to to her hand first, to be sure before anything. "I mean...I tried to... to...call..." A stall in her words, as if she hit a brick wall somehow. Her hands shot to press against her forehead, shutting her eyes. Splitting, her forehead both seared and felt like it would split apart.

"Ah...aaahh it hurts!!" The girl screams, wanting to crumple from the shock of it. What in the world WAS this!

Amber asked if she was alright; she wanted to laugh at that. Nothing more than a scratch or two, she would have said. But Amber continued to talk, saying something about the fact that she had tried to call the teacher, obviously before everything happened. In that moment before the breakdown, Kudo was grateful to hear the words. It meant that there had been no lack of trust like she had previously perceived. She had at least tried to get the word out to her before everything had happened.

The relief, however, was short lived.

Suddenly she was pushing on her forehead, and Kudo had nothing to go on but the initial thought that she had done more damage that she first believed. The teacher stood for a moment, watching as she cried out from the obvious pain coming from her forehead. Amaya quickly knelt down to her, "Amber!" She called quickly, hands pressed against her shoulders to at least try and catch her attention.

But Stein had never mentioned anything about this. So she had nothing to go off and no way to understand what was going on.

It feels like her skull and her skin splitting at once, like a searing instrument had been taken to the inside of her forehead to slowly cut a lateral wound out. Yet, nothing was on visible on the girl's skin. Even pressing her palms against it provided little relief for her. This was a new pain, something different and alien to the usual pain she was familiar with.

"Amber!"

She opens her eyes, momentarily blinded by the pain and then...it stopped, not a gradual tapering but a full and sudden halt. Her tears were hot, having cried at some point but she couldn't remember when and her hands dropped into her lap. A lift of her head to face Kudo. She was still present, her hands on the girl's shoulders. Amber looked pale again, exhausted given what had occured tonight: shifting to inner darkness, murdering, fighting back against Kudo and then phantom pain; a long night.

"It's gone...It's gone now." The winged girl says with ragged breath, her still crimson-tainted hand reaching up to touch Kudo's on her shoulder. But there would be something for the woman to note about her student.

There was a visible, horizontal line of blood about an inch or so across Amber's forehead, dripping in small rivers along her face. Closer inspection would reveal there was no open wound to speak of nor did the winged girl seem to realize she was bleeding yet.

Just as quickly as they had been swept up in the confusion, it seemed to disappear again. Amber had looked up to the teacher, an expression on her face that one could not read properly. But one thing was clear, she was exhausted. And so she should be; the events of the night would have easily taken their toll on someone in full fighting health. The blood stained hands of the student reach up slowly to rest on the shoulder's of her teacher, but Amaya hardly thinks to notice the new blood on her form from such an action. For a moment, her dark eyes are too busy searching the newfound blood marks on the girl's forehead. No open wounds to speak of.

Kudo reached up to touch it; a thumb to try and clean off the blood that ran down and along her face.

"Are you alright?" She asked, concerned for all that she had just seen. It was not often that a teacher was caught off guard in such a way. She later thought it was a redundant question to ask. The hand that would rest on her shoulder would tighten in its grip slightly. Check to see she was even still here. "I was too late. But I'm here." She reassured, once more remembering the hands that gripped her shoulders in return. Amaya allowed her other hand to move around and rest on the small of her back to give her some support; best not to have her leaning against the place where Kudo may have injured her in the fury.

"Let me help you." Her tone rings with strength, but wavers in its moments with concern.

The winged girl almost seemed puzzled when Kudo wiped at her forehead. Was there something there? A wound? No...Kudo would have said something if that was the case and she assumed she would at least feel it. Amber felt numbed from her exhaustion, she still had yet to realize the gravity of this particular situation.

"Are you alright?"

The girl who could be a figment nodded, the squeeze of her shoulder confirmed her physical existence for both of them. "Yes...Just tired..." She responds softly, a slow realization that she could fully move by now, the sudden pain overriding the fact she gained feeling back in her body. That certainly made her feel less apprehensive, no longer thinking several points in time where her inability to move only meant she was in a dire situation.

"I was too late. But I'm here."

It's not your fault at all. Really... She wanted to say that but couldn't quite find the words to say it properly. Amber still seemed to be in a haze of exhausted confusion, feeling the need to gaze around to gauge where she was exactly. But Kudo made her insistence clear, careful in the way she was helping her up.

"Let me help you."

There was little need for Amber to express affirmation, she who needed the help to the one who offered with all of her being. being helped up, she could see the mess she made - the victim that resembled the girl she could not touch. Her head hung back at an unnatural angle from the length of the cut, open enough to see muscle, blood stained her clothes a deep red. Though it was not Zxaine, her eyes widened, thank god! That poor soul wasn't saved, but it could have been far worse certainly.

The winged girl would hug on to the woman, a weak hug in her exhaustion, but Kudo would know it was one.

"I fought it. For days." She says with an unsteady voice, like she could cry but fought to keep them back. "I tried to push it away until I couldn't anymore. It wanted so much more. Thank you, thank you for making it retreat..."

There was a sensation in that moment that Amaya had not expected. The smallest sensation of an embrace; the winged girl was giving her all to come through on the act. There was a beat of hesitation; contemplation over protocol and all that serious business. But just for a moment, she could not see the harm in being there for someone who trusted her so. She had fought for days, she said. Amaya knew that had to be difficult, trying to suppress such a thing that even she herself had some experience in dealing with. It took brutal force to break her out of it. With an arm around her waist, Amaya was able to pull her inward, pressing her weak form against the strong willed teacher's to at least attempt to provide some comfort.

"I do not deserve your thanks." She said honestly in the fleeting moment, her voice resembling solitude in the eery calmness of that moment. "But I will accept it."

“I know you hate it when I break up your parties- SHIT!

Ellis seemed to fall right in the middle of the worst time. She walked in to the right floor to see nothing but blood and a decapitated body on the floor. Did she even see the two in their meaningful embrace? “You sure didn’t get here in time, Amaya,” She mutters to herself, though in her current state muttering is hardly the word for how loud her voice is projecting, “This is almost as bad as when you went crazy in the forest when you found out she di- Oh. You’re both still here.” She looked over to the two of them, feeling incredibly awkward for being right smack in the middle of the situation. She gave a heavy chuckle at her own words, green eyes glancing over at Amaya.

“Sorry for outing you.”

A pause; she was probably going to get killed for that later. Ellis threw a thumb over her shoulder, raising her eyebrows as if curiously asking if they wanted her to go away. One might be able to question then whether or not she was as intoxicated as she seemed. Maybe it was just more fun to poke the bear and blame it on one too many beers.

She dusts her hands off, a few to the girl for a moment or so. Her eyes then flick up to the two of them; more specifically, at Amber. “Nice to see you again. You always pick the hard ones, don’t you.” This girl had a memory web like a damn spider; so many people she’d have to track down. “My people will handle this. Take your girl home.” She said with a sly smirk across her lips. She had no shame in teasing Amaya, whether the object of her teasingly perfect affection was in the room or not. Lucky for Ellis, she was probably too thick to understand a word she'd said.

A hug reciprocated, it may have been what Amber needed, and without her knowledge, what they both needed. She felt okay now, stable, and if anything, just wanting to pass the hell out. All of her reserves had to keep her awake and not to collapse again, no need to further be a bother to Kudo-sensei.

“I know you hate it when I break up your parties- SHIT!”

The winged girl tangibly flinches, immediately breaking the hug. Oh god, someone was here and there's obviously a dead body present! Certainly the girl was quite used to not getting caught for so long she had forgotten the terror of discovery. Amber peered up at Kudo with the wide-eyed "what do we do?!" expression before leaning over to see who was present with them.

“You sure didn’t get here in time, Amaya. This is almost as bad as when you went crazy in the forest when you found out she di- Oh. You’re both still here.”

Amber blinked before visibly calming down. The slightly inebriated woman called Kudo-sensei "Amaya"...and wait. Amber remembered this woman! She was there that other time too when she...had to...clean up after one of her bloody messes. And once again she had to clean another one.

“Nice to see you again. You always pick the hard ones, don’t you.”

"Eh?" A small muse of confusion. The blonde then blushed and bowed her head out of embarrassment, linking her hands behind her back. Poor thing. "Nice to see you too...S-sorry for continuing to be trouble, ma'am." Missing the point, she gazed over at the body, silently handing the soul her apologies for being unlucky enough to resemble that person. Spying that her coffin shaped bag was a few feet from the body, the girl moves to retrieve it and returns to Kudo's side.

“My people will handle this. Take your girl home.”

Headtilt. Yup, she missed the assertion.

Suddenly Amber had pushed off her at the sound of another voice. Amaya had not flinched, after all, the voice was one of her contacts. But she should have understood that because she hadn't her, there would be obvious panic. But the woman could have picked a better way to enter the scene. As Amber pulled away, her dark eyes would connect with a look from Kudo; closed eyes and lowered eyebrows that might have twitched in annoyance if she looked long enough. Ellis continued to spit words that at the very least all her other associates had the decency to wait until they were alone to say. Not this one. She should have known.

"Ellis." She said darkly, as if a type of warning. Lucky for both of them, she moved on to do what she was actually here for. It would take longer than expected to fix this mess, but Amaya could suddenly hear idle footsteps around the area. She could only assume they were here to help. Nevertheless, the woman stood up, stretching out her form slightly before taking hold of Amber's arm and lifting her to her side. Should she need assistance in standing and walking, the teacher would be there. "I hope you enjoy the rest of your night." She shot to the other woman, sounding as though she would find some enjoyment in the notion that she would be stuck here for a while. Kudo reached for her Aeon device, knowing that it would not be smart for the two of them to simply walk the streets of NYC and Axiom looking as they did.

Her eyes looked to the woman. Was there anything else to say?

Welcome to The Summerland
Alright, alright. Ellis adhered to Amaya's warning when she eventually gave it. God forbid she had said anything outright. She was going to have to tell Mai of what happened here anyway, so she would reserve her right to have the woman kill her until then. Ellis looked over to the girl as she spoke, as there was a glint in her eye or remembrance. Ah, so the girl did recognise her! Ellis almost expected to be a faceless body in her story, so this advancement was quite welcomed. "It's not me you trouble. I just do what they tell me." She replied; such an upbeat tone for a clearly dreary situation. A silent march outside executed dark figures who seemed to round the building. They were just waiting for the two to leave to the real work can begin.

Enjoy your night, Amaya says. Ellis scoffed at the notion, but couldn't help but grant it a crooked smile. "Yeah, thanks. Always a pleasure to work with you, 'Maya." She had said, injecting more to somehow lighten this dampened mood. Still, the woman had stopped and hesitated before finally disappearing. Time to be serious. Ellis stood outright, her eyebrow raising as she rested a hand on her hip idly.

"Security's going to have to tighten now, Kudo. This can't happen again." She spoke knowing all well that it was as much her fault as the teacher's. "I'll do what I have to on my end, but you need to as well."

There was talk of security. Well, of course the teacher knew about that, but Kudo would have been a little at lease or even glad if the woman could for once out rightly accept her own short comings. They would do what needed to be done; this was signified in a slight nod to Ellis. It was hard for them not to talk further, but in front of a student it was hardly idea. Her hand entered coordinates into the device; as soon as they were within range, she might use them to quickly make a further escape.

Tightening security. They would all need to meet about that.

The world would change before them with a wave of the teacher's hand. That pocket of dark space was now large enough to be used as an entry point, and they would. There was going to be no other way to get out of NYC without being seen by now.

New season, new drama. XD

"It's not me you trouble. I just do what they tell me."

Blink, a prompt for the winged girl to glance around. They? Idle footsteps heard around but not quite seen, waiting in the wings. It drew up minor paranoia in the girl, just for shades of reasons than what they intend to do. Or that was what she gathered from the conversation between Kudo and Ellis - good to know she had a name to refer to after so long.

"Security's going to have to tighten now, Kudo. This can't happen again. I'll do what I have to on my end, but you need to as well."

Amber felt a knot in her stomach tighten at those words, her gaze dropping to the ground. In her peripheral, blood from the victim glimmered in the dim of light in the construction site. Again...acting upon her actions. Her urges, through a force she couldn't quite control, but that did not mean it excused it all. Does this mean Kudo-sensei would get into trouble because of her? The girl's wings visibly drooped, either of exhaustion, worry or a combination of both and she hugged the coffin shaped bag in one free arm. The other arm was looped around Kudo's, taking up her earlier offer of help. She probably will need it.

A wave of Kudo's hand and a dark space appeared before them - this would actually the first Amber saw of this. A fleeting glance to Ellis and a small wave; good to see her again and many apologies. A brief tug to Kudo's arm now - time to go back and she can finally pass out once they get back to the school.

But not forget.
