The sky was overcast, a cold wind driving even the teleporter to don jeans and a jacket. Her hair was braided down her back, fingers stuffed into the pockets of her peacoat. Her mixed tone eyes glancing around as puffs of air misted as they came from her mouth, swirling in the air. The girl looked down at her feline companion, his silvery-blue eyes staring back at her. "We need to make amends." He said quietly and Zxaine nodded, wiping a tear from her cheek. She'd been doing a lot of thinking lately, it wasn't all good stuff either. Her eyes were still a bit puffy from her last bout and her arm hurt from punching one of the thresholds of her room. She was so damn stupid! STUPID STUPID STUPID. "Yeah, I know." She responded after a moment, she'd been looking for Lucas for an hour or so, but she hadn't had any luck. Her eyes turned up to the clouds, watching them twist into each other and threaten to rain on her head. She wouldn't have cared if it did, it would just help hide the stains on her cheeks from her crying. "I was stupid... and I need to appologize now." She mumbled. She looked towards the Dorms, her eyes instantly going to the window she knew was his. He wasn't there, she hadn't been able to find him anywhere, not even in the meadow. She wondered where he could be, sitting on a bench and resting her face in her palms, wondering to herself how she could be so damn stupid all the time. Damion sat beside her, resting his large head on her shoulder in way of comfort, not that she took any from it. |

It was a difficult conversation to live through again and again. The more Lucas thought about it, the more he saw the obvious error in his words. Everything had been about Stella; it always had been and perhaps Zxaine was right, it was time he looked past the aspect of the Star Girl that plagued whatever their relationship had become. She had been there, waiting for him to make some mention of their plans and he gave her nothing but painful rambling and the truth behind the pain of the situation. He owed her a lot more than that, more than simply noticing and acknowledging her as a helping force. She deserved the eplxnation he had kept from her, and she deserved it in a less guilt driving way. Lucas wanted he rto understand his position, but at the same time, he wanted to understand her stance in the whole situation. So for hours he had been trying to find her, looking everywhere he could think of only to find nothing. So he retreated back to a neutral middle of the campus; the quad. Heavy clouds drew closer together overhead, the occasional soft drop of rain would fall to the ground, making sure the threat of rain would be heard and acknowledged. The quad, a normally busy place in the school, was not a place of refuge from rain. People flew from it at the earliest sign. Who would ever expect such a lively place to be so dead now, though the weather was doing them a favour. Here, in this open space, if they weren't alone now they would be soon. "Zxaine." He said, still a distance from her, though his voice carried well enough. "I couldn't find you, I wanted to-" He paused quickly, not entirely sure if she wanted to speak to him. |

Damion looked over at Lucas, noting his presence as the feline always did, but it was clear he did not alert Zxaine to him being there because she did not move even the slightest. Her gaze was fixated on the ground, staring blankly as she tried to think. "Zxaine." She cringed inwardly, how had he found her when she had been unable to find him. It was embarrassing and she made a point of not moving immediately. "I couldn't find you, I wanted to-" He stopped and she lifted her head after wiping away a few stray tears so he wouldn't see them. Her lip trembled very slightly, most likely not noticable as he seemed to be a fair enough distance from her still. She tried to smile, but it came out wrong so she let it fall to something more neutral. "Lucas. I'm..." She paused for a second, standing up and rubbing her scarf across her face to try and erase any tear lines. She took a few steps towards him and played with her fingers a bit. "I'm... I'm sorry. So sorry. C... can you forgive me?" She looked down then back up at him. "I... I know that... I'm not her. And that... she takes priority. I just.. just.." she started to stumble at that point, trying to blink back more tears. She didn't want to cry in front of him. |

"Lucas. I'm..." Lucas took a few moments to watch her; from a faltered smile to the subtle but quick way she tried to erase any form of tears from her face. The corner of his mouth pulled down, eyebrows lowered slightly as he thought to himself that he'd never seen her so upset; and it had genuinely been his fault. Finally, she took a step or two towards him. "I'm... I'm sorry. So sorry. C... can you forgive me?" Threatening clouds released more warning drops; one landed on the tip of his nose and he brushed it off quickly. Some idle roars of thunder played their part to scare the last of the masses from what may have now been an oncoming storm. The amused laugher of fleeting students faded heavily into the distance. "I... I know that... I'm not her. And that... she takes priority. I just.. just.." He made the decision to close the rest of the distance between them slowly as he spoke, "You don't have anything to apologise for. You were there, waiting, and I was too wrapped up in everything that shouldn't matter anymore. She cut me from her life and I should do the same. I owe you so much more than that for doing everything I asked; for keeping everything a secret for our sake." As to be expected, people stood from the shelter of the hallway covering to watch. After all, when it came to serious gossip at the school, people would near risk their lives to find something out; who cares about a little rain! Because in a single moment, Lucas had moved to embrace her, pulling her in closely and grabbing the attention of all stragglers left in the area. "If you're still with me," He whispered quietly, "I'm through pretending." |

I owe you so much more than that for doing everything I asked; for keeping everything a secret for our sake." She hiccuped quietly once, fighting to keep control of herself. Here she had been ready to beg at his feet if she needed to... and... he was telling her she didn't have to? Just like that? She looked up at him, her brows knitting together as he closed the distance between them. Drops of rain hit her cheeks, sliding across her skin like freshwater tears, before she wiped them away with her fingertips. She tried to smile at him, really she did, but with all the emotions running around her head she only managed to twist the corners of her lips up slightly. Her eyes widened and she blinked as his arms curled around her form, quite clearly hearing the few students who were left and watching them gasp as he did. "If you're still with me, I'm through pretending." She could barely believe what her ears had heard, her eyes sliding shut as her arms lifted and curled around his waist, her face burying itself in his shoulder as she let out a sound that was somewhere between a relieved sigh and a choked sob. "Of course I am." She managed, her arms tightening around him just a little bit. Just a few moments later the rain came in force, the light patter steadying into a cold but strangely refreshing rain. |

In the distance there are carrying voices- dropping word of Lucas' obvious relationship with Stella and the fact that even they hadn't seen her in weeks. Strong whispers unintentionally springing in their direction; it was poor form to let the people you talk about KNOW you're talking about them! Nevertheless, Lucas found it easy to drown them all out. After all, the opinions of others didn't matter, though in the back of his mind he knew being open about it all would not end well for them in the eyes of others. "Of course I am." Lucas was still a little surprised by his answer, given the way he had treated her. The pavement below them shone silver as the insignificant storm made good on its threats with lightly falling rain. Lucas pulled back, an unfaltering smile on his face as he looked down at her. "Are you ready for one hell of an onslaught?" He asked, a light tone coupled with a small laugh made the serious question look like more of a joke than anything else. |

The were soaked through before too long, the steady rain eating through her wool jacket. Her fingers, always perfectly manicured, curled into the wet fabric of his shirt as they embraced. She could hear the others on the edges of the Quad, their voices easily distinguished from the patter of silvery-white raindrops that pelted the two. She didn't care what they said, or what foul names they called her. She didn't have to hide it anymore, she could say what she wanted where she wanted. "Are you ready for one hell of an onslaught?" She mirrored his small laugh with one of her own, her lips twisting up at the thought of things ever being more hellish then they had been before. "What, You think I expected things to be easy? My dear Lucas, you know as well as I that things like to beat me up!" she joked, she had never really been beaten up... not physically anyways. Unless you count that one time with the aliens where Damion had gotten hurt and the injury became mirrored on her. "I'm ready. Let them take their best shot." She looked up at him, smiling a bit before reaching up and pushing a bit of soaking wet hair across his forehead before the rain would push it into his eyes. |

“Huh. This is interesting.” A voice rose from the crowd, the owner making no reservations to step forward and approach the pair. [Rewind to just a few moments ago.] A certain pair was nearing the Quad after having an interesting excursion in the forest. Stray fallen leaves would be caught in their hair and clothes, but otherwise both were in decent spirits considering their adventure. The coming storm urged that the safe thing to do was to head back to the dorms, which Katrina led the way. “So you’re actually going to work ahead for math class? How studious of Tadah.” Katrina says with a giggle, tossing a glance over her shoulder. “I wonder who your muse is for undertaking this kind of task...” “Shut up Kat.” Takeshi says crossly, brushing off leaves from his black knit cap and stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jacket. “It’s nothing like that. I just thought I could do better than I have be-EH!” Katrina had stopped dead in her tracks, causing Takeshi to bump into her. “What the hell Kat-!” He started shouting, but the look on his friend’s face drew curiosity out of him. Katrina’s smile was one of nervousness and he swore she became a little pale. He toned down his anger and calmly asked: “What's with you?” “Uh, I was thinking we should just use the Aeon to get back to the dorms.” Katrina says cheerfully with a calm that was...odd considering her sudden reaction. Takeshi could not help but to raise an eyebrow. The peppering of students around the Quad seemed to be fascinated by something going on. “It really looks like a bad storm is coming anyways.” “We’re already almost there.” Takeshi says, moving to sidestep her so that they could continue. Katrina sidesteps with him, blocking his path. “Seriously, it would be quicker. I don’t feel like being cold and wet.” “You won’t melt.” Takeshi says, already feeling the metaphorical vein forming over his head. What game is she playing? He fakes a sidestep to the right so that she would follow before making the actual sidestep to the right to stride past her in a few steps. Katrina, knowing her folly, turns and dashes so that she grabs her friend’s arm. “Tada, don’t!” She says in an almost commanding voice, but it was too late. The whispers from those who were more nosy and less than tactful than to cover their gossip flared. Normally, neither Katrina nor Takeshi would pay enough attention - as long as their names were not mentioned, why worry about any of it? The children will always pass rumors, the information twists from ear to ear anyhow. The visuals was something much harder to ignore. Zxaine, with her arms around his waist. Lucas, embracing his Goddess. The dark heavens allowed a cold, light rain to fall to the earth. It was all that he could see, everything else became out of focus with the exception of himself, Katrina and the problem at hand. "What the shit." Katrina was holding his arm back with all her might, but the words she was saying drowned in the roar of his own anger. Around them, students were whispering but none had the gall to question the situation. Lucas, “the nice guy” sempai seemed to have dropped his mask. He had managed to ensnare the heart of his goddess. He couldn’t appreciate the lovely girl Stella. Did she know of this affair? An odd smirk crosses his face, the knit cap and bright red scarf hid the drain of red to white from his hair. Katrina’s eyes widened realizing her friend’s eyes glimmered a brighter shade of red. Worst of all, she could feel his arm squirm - this had the potential to be bad. “Tada...Takeshi, calm down.” [And to the present moment.] Takeshi settled his gaze more on Lucas than Zxaine; his goddess was merely tricked by his two-faced rival, thus she had no responsibility in it. Behind him, Katrina watched on with an air of caution. There had been little she could have done to stop Tadashi- no, Takeshi from confronting a dicey situation that involved his friend and major crush. Takeshi had never been one to be kind to those that uses or harms his friends. “I’m surprised that you would be the type to play the field, Reed. Che, fucking cheat. Got tired of having one cute girl on your arm that you had to spring for a side dish?” |

"What, You think I expected things to be easy? My dear Lucas, you know as well as I that things like to beat me up! I'm ready. Let them take their best shot." Heavy midnight blue locks stuck to his forehead, curling towards the ends as the rain shaped their form lightly. Rain ran along his face, tracing awkward patterns on his skin, making paths for the rest of the drops to follow. But no matter how heavy the rain seemed to fall, he was not bothered by it all. Still, she reached up and moved the hair from his forehead as it threatened to fall before his eyes. “I’m surprised that you would be the type to play the field, Reed. Che, fucking cheat. Got tired of having one cute girl on your arm that you had to spring for a side dish?” Of course, he had been far too engulfed in the moment to track the presense of people around them. While most hid from the storm, someone was bold enough to venture out and speak to them. Lucas turned his gaze from Zxaine to lock it to this stranger, obviously confused, though not for the reason one might assume. "Uhh- Do I know you?" For the most aprt, he simply assumed this guy was some random who felt the need to take a shot at him earlier than expected. |

“Huh. This is interesting.” She knew that voice, and it should have made her react, but she didn't at first. “I’m surprised that you would be the type to play the field, Reed. Che, fucking cheat. Got tired of having one cute girl on your arm that you had to spring for a side dish?” This caught her attention and she blinked, looking over at Tadashi, her expression confused. Side dish? She'd never been referred to in such a.... possessive way. She didn't see herself as a man's accessory, did he? Her eyes blinked, strands of hair stuck to her forehead. "Uhh- Do I know you?" "Tadashi..." she said quietly, tipping her head as she looked at him, why was he here? "What... are you doing?" her voice was soft, not sure why he was being so cold to Lucas. Sure the rest of the school was unaware of why things had changed so dramatically lately, but it should be no surprise to Tadashi that she would be found with Lucas. She had thought it to be obvious what was happening, even without her opening her mouth about it. Damion looked over at Tadashi, not looking nearly as intimidating as usual but he also was staring at the other boy he'd come to like as much as the feline would bother to let on with a confused expression. He had thought Tadashi had more respect for Zxaine then to talk of her, while she was standing there, as if she were some... thing that Lucas had trapped and contained like a pet. |

"Uhh- Do I know you?" “Doubt it!” Takeshi says with a warped sort of cheerfulness. Of course Lucas would not know him, this was not the kind of rivalry where he declares himself a rival while being unknown to the guy - that would be silly. Takeshi points in the general direction of other watchful eyes. “But I hear enough about you. People talk you know, can’t you tell? I do is hear about Mr. Nice Guy of MHS...and for a while I thought there was some merit to it.” "Tadashi...” He swore he heard Zxaine speak through the fog of rage inside. “What... are you doing?" His crimson eyes soften just a touch and his rage slightly cools simply by his goddess speaking to him...but the anger was still brewing. There was still injustice present after all! Katrina’s eyes dart from Zxaine to her friend’s arm. Without even touching it, she knew it was bubbling, ready to strike at a moment’s notice. While Katrina would make little attempt to stop him, she voiced what he may need to hear. “Tadah...pull back. You’ll end up regretting it -” Takeshi hears Katrina’s soft voice but makes little gesture that he heard her. True, there was no way he could destroy the friendship he managed to build up with the girl of his dreams, not after the hell he went through. Takeshi continued, looking to Zxaine and speaking with significantly less harshness than he had towards Lucas. “Zxaine...you do know, don’t you? This guy already has a girlfriend, a really nice girl...yet he freely holds you in the way he does her. That’s not right on any level! I don’t want to see you get hurt.” No, he would hate to see her heart broken because of some asswipe playing with her heart - he had to save her, do something for Zxaine! His right hand squeezes into a fist, trying to hold back his family curse bubbling in his sleeve. His red eyes fall back to Lucas and his sharpness returns. “Does your girl Stella know how much of a two-timing bastard you are, Reed?” With his declaration spoken, the onlooking chorus of whispers rise: "What's going on?" "Omigod, is it true?" "Poor Stella..." "With that Zxaine girl involved, who's playing who?" |

“But I hear enough about you. People talk you know, can’t you tell? I do is hear about Mr. Nice Guy of MHS...and for a while I thought there was some merit to it.” Yes, of course he know that people spoke of him. After all, the most important thing to MHS students was gossip. The way he spoke with such discontent initially made Lucas believe he had felt something for Stella. That would frustrate an outsider to no end, as there never seemed to be a crack between them. “Zxaine...you do know, don’t you? This guy already has a girlfriend, a really nice girl...yet he freely holds you in the way he does her. That’s not right on any level! I don’t want to see you get hurt.” But at this point it became clear that it was not Stella he harboured something for, but Zxaine. Lucas allowed his gaze to swing to her quickly, a slight look of disbelief over the way he had spoken about her before speaking to her. Of course she would know about Stella, it was impossible not to! “Does your girl Stella know how much of a two-timing bastard you are, Reed?” "Alright, that's enough!" It was very rare for the normally passive boy to carry any form of anger, almost making it difficult to comprehend on him when it did appear. He let go of Zxaine slowly, his hand trailing down her arm to lace his fingers with hers. "It's clear what's going on here; if you've found this much confidence now then maybe you'd like to explain to her the real reason for all this." Sure, Lucas could have went on to try and explain the story to him, but what was the point in that? "This is between the two of you." He added, believing that at this point, he was nothing more than a figure this guy could rage at. |

“Zxaine...you do know, don’t you? This guy already has a girlfriend, a really nice girl...yet he freely holds you in the way he does her. That’s not right on any level! I don’t want to see you get hurt.” Her eyes were focused on Tadashi, however when the people behind him began to talk amongst themselves she turned her gaze to them. They were all looking at her. Not at Lucas, her. Accusing with their eyes, muttering about her to each other and pointing now and again. Her eyes snapped back to Tadashi and she grasped for reasons why he was bringing more attention to them then was needed right now. "I... I know of Stella... more then you do....." She said quietly, almost too quietly, revealing that this was no sudden thing that just HAPPENED. This had been building for a long time, longer then she'd known the other boy. "Alright, that's enough!" Her head jerked to look at Lucas, fingers lacing tightly with his as he gripped her hand. She felt like running, but she didn't think she'd be able to. She wanted to hide behind him, but that wouldn't fly either she thought. "It's clear what's going on here; if you've found this much confidence now then maybe you'd like to explain to her the real reason for all this." The voices behind Tadashi flared again, her eyes turning to them again, unable to block out the rumors as they bloomed. Think she's playin around with that guy to? This is ZXAINE we're talking about, the girl has been trouble for awhile now. Any sane girl has to hold tight to her man with her around. She shook her head, looking back at Tadashi with a pained expression. Why was he doing this? "This is between the two of you." She turned her head to Lucas, her lip trembling a bit. She didn't understand what was going on. Her head turned to look at Katrina, barely registering the girl was there, then at Tadashi. "Why...?" She said quietly. "What's going on Tadashi? Is... there something you think I should know?" She squeezed Lucas' fingers. Her expressive, golden and emerald eyes staring into Tadashi's crimson, pleading for answers. Damion rumbled quietly, almost threateningly, at the group of humans that stood facing Zxaine. The cat curled his form into hers protectively, lips pulled from fangs. |

"I... I know of Stella... more then you do....." She says quietly, so much that Takeshi almost did not hear her. He was far too focused on the wide-eyed expression on her face that the words quietly pass her lips enough simply to be read up close. Wait, what?! Was that correct? Zxaine knew of Stella? “Wait, what?” He repeated the words that had just flashed across his mind before completely flat-lining. There was never a moment where he felt turning into a giant block of ice was appropriate. "Alright, that's enough!" The rival interrupts the whispers of others with an out-of-character moment that even Takeshi glanced over at him. "It's clear what's going on here; if you've found this much confidence now then maybe you'd like to explain to her the real reason for all this." Was it between the two of them now? The mention of any semblance of a real reason for all this was all of conjecture. The crowd happened to be there, whispering lies about Zxaine that they always do, and Katrina had tried to steer him clear of this madness. Maybe they should have taken the Aeon home. Takeshi refused to glance over at Katrina to see the knowing expression on her face. Think she's playin around with that guy to? This is ZXAINE we're talking about, the girl has been trouble for awhile now. Any sane girl has to hold tight to her man with her around. Okay, now they were just being annoying. Jealous eyes because Zxaine was far more beautiful than they, far kinder than they. She was not that kind of girl, not at all! He tosses a glance in the direction of the last two voices. “Christ, shut up!” Takeshi says to the catty onlookers. “She’s not like that!” Katrina’s palm smacks her forehead loud, Takeshi was hopeless when it came to this sort of thing. Of course this HAD to concern the one girl he worshiped, and why would there not be a crowd to watch. Katrina had better sense to pay attention - the girl was dangerous in the way with men’s hearts it seems...so why the deer in headlights from her? She could only speculate. Right now, she felt more annoyed that she probably will have to be the one to drag Takeshi out of this mess. "Why...?" Zxaine said quietly to him. "What's going on Tadashi? Is... there something you think I should know?" After being in denial of all possible information behind all this, things began to mentally fall in place: The whispers that had persisted long before. Lucas. The nice guy. I was looking for Lucas actually. He said he'd help me study for math. Zxaine. "You're so silly. Of course I do. We're friends now, you're welcome around me anytime." This is ZXAINE we're talking about, the girl has been trouble for awhile now. That smile of hers. Stella Midnight. The cute girl Lucas has. "I... I know of Stella... more then you do....." Together? There still was pieces missing to this giant puzzle being it was only one side he could see, some made sense and some did not.. His anger was because of Lucas, for playing two girls - one happened to mean so much to him. Her arms around him, his around her - it all was too much. Had this been going on longer than he knew? How did Stella feel about all of this? Why would this all happen like this? Or was this... “You knew?” Obvious? Realization. Takeshi snapped out of his deductive gaze with a pair of equally soft-spoken words and he instinctively wrapped his hand over his bubbling arm, the gesture appearing as if he was only rubbing a sore arm out of apparent nervousness. It wanted out, it wanted to fight what was causing him to be upset. He bows his head for a moment, trying to find the words to continue his train of thought. Damion was snarling at him, why him? Takeshi wanted to protect her, no one should have to harm Zxaine, no one could dare break her heart if he could help it! Takeshi releases his “sore” arm and presses his palm to his face. He couldn't look at her, he simply could not take the expression on her face now - it was simply too heartbreaking to see the goddess with those pleading eyes. “That guy...you like him that much.” Goddammit. As he spoke, his "sore" arm bubbled and percolated. A black substance drips heavy down his arm, twirling around his fingers like fresh blood. Yes, his arm appeared to be moving and slowly creating a visible rip through the sleeve of his coat. “He'd hurt your kind heart...” |

“You knew?” His mind flared up with the obvious response; how could she not know? How could anyone not know? Of course she knew about Stella, because at this place it was damn near impossible to miss that fact. If you hadn't seen it, you'd heard about it. But evidently he thought it possible to be oblivious to the fact, and this new found information rattled him intensely. He says a few things; something about how she likes Lucas (he assumes) and how he will just hurt her. Then things take an unexpected turn. The way a sudden black substance spirals down his arm towards his hand, and something causes the fabric of his clothes to rip. Lucas tilts his head towards Zxaine. "Let me go." He whispered, searching to free his hand before he took a step forward. "You have no idea-" The rain between them flies unnaturally in his direction, pushed by an invisible force. And he took a deep breath, determined to protect her with what power he had. |

Now now, we have learnt now never to question the way a teacher appears in the nick of time to save the day. It simply happens and students accept it as common knowledge. God knows half the onlookers were just waiting for... probably Amaya to break it up. She seemed the least tollerant for schoolyard fights. Ken leads with a light chuckle as he seemed to appear, first before Lucas, holding a finger at his lips. "Keep that voice of yours in check." He said with a light heart and an amused smile, mainly because he resisted the temptation to make a joke of how he didn't want to clean up a perished student's skin off the quad concrete. But he stopped himself; perhaps it was far too early to make jokes about the boy's first kill. "Oh children, your theatre does kill me." A few quick steps and he was at Takeshi's side, a hand on his arm. "It's unfortunate, things were playing out so well. You were caught perfectly in generic teenage drama, of course, the little added bonuses you bring to the screen really make it worthwhile." Ken said, sighing heavily as he looked down to the boy at his side, patting his arm a few times. "Y'know what they say? Love triangles are never clean- oh! Did I say too much?" He gives a wink to his beloved crowd, and he and Takeshi are simply... gone. |

“Wait, what?” She blinked, how could she NOT know about Stella? There seemed to be no way for it to be. Everyone knew who Stella Midnight was. Not everyone had the knowledge about Stella that she did though. “Christ, shut up! She’s not like that!” She smiled appreciatively to him, silently thanking him for sticking up for her against the general populace. He WAS her friend after all, even if he was drawing more attention to a sensitive situation then there already was. She waited, watching as he seemed to think about everything that had gone on, everything she had said to him. Waiting for him to realize that she'd been quietly obvious about it, even when she hadn't openly said anything about Lucas and herself. She was always meeting with him, always close. Finally he seemed to realize what he must have been ignoring. “You knew? That guy...you like him that much.” "Yes... Things have been... complicated for awhile but... this really isn't the place to explain." She said quietly, feeling like somehow she was wronging the boy though she couldn't think of how that was possible. He released his arm and covered his face with his hand and her free hand lifted, partially reaching towards him to try and comfort him for reasons she still didn't understand, or perhaps she was trying not to understand them. She had thought for awhile he might care for her a bit more then a 'friend' but she had chosen to not encourage it. She was his friend, she wanted to be his friend... if this was how things were would she not be allowed to be his friend? “He'd hurt your kind heart...” She sighed, he didn't understand how often SHE had hurt LUCAS. It wasn't something she was proud of, but... it was what it was? "Tadashi..." She said quietly, clearly feeling upset for him as well as for herself now. Things were always so complicated, it seemed that she couldn't catch a break, even this once. Damion was still growling, but it seemed Tadashi wasn't really looking where he was growling, not at the boy but at the collection of nosey students behind him. The cat wasn't really at liberty to SAY this, after all Zxaine was busy talking for herself, she couldn't talk for him too right now. The last thing the girl was expecting was Lucas to tug his hand from her, her eyes darting to him, obviously she hadn't had noticed the black liquid that dripped to the ground, nor how his sleeve was tearing. "Let me go." She dropped her hand away from his, her hand falling to Damion's head to run her fingers through his soaked through fur. "You have no idea-" She noticed the rain shift unnaturally, her hands lifting to curl around Lucas' arm. Her brows furrowed a bit and she tugged gently. Tadashi was her friend, she didn't want them fighting. However, it seemed that it wouldn't come to that as Mr. Namiashi appeared, facing Lucas. "Keep that voice of yours in check." She looked at the teacher and smiled weakly, thankful that someone who had a bit more.... well authority was stepping in. "Oh children, your theatre does kill me. It's unfortunate, things were playing out so well. You were caught perfectly in generic teenage drama, of course, the little added bonuses you bring to the screen really make it worthwhile." He... enjoyed watching the students as she floundered for what to say or do in the situation. As much of a flirt she used to be, she'd never really had to deal with something like this, it was new to her. She didn't quite get how to deal with everything yet. Her eyes turned to Katrina, curious as to what she was doing here as if she was just really NOTICING her. However the teacher caught her attention again. "Y'know what they say? Love triangles are never clean- oh! Did I say too much?" She blinked. Was he... was he talking about Tadashi? Love triangle with Tadashi? What? The realization of what had happened appeared on her face as the teacher vanished with her friend. Her eyes widened slightly and then she pressed her palms against her face. Completely out of things to say. |

Katrina’s eyes dart between Lucas then to Takeshi; of course she caught the black substance dripping from his arm and her teal eyes widened. No, no this was bad! Tadah’s temper was one thing, but his emotion-linked powers only registered physical stimuli - if it felt Tadah was hurt or in danger, it would strike of its own accord! The raven haired girl springs to life, her hand sparkling as she pooled together the energy to form something to stop Takeshi’s curse. She only took a few steps towards him before a savior appeared - the female onlookers swoon of course and even Katrina felt a blush rise in her cheeks. Ken Namiashi just had that effect on the female population. "Oh children, your theatre does kill me." A few steps quicker than Katrina could accomplish and he was at Takeshi's side with a hand on his dripping arm. Katrina clenched her hand, allowing a handful of small gems to form in place of the unneeded buildup. "It's unfortunate, things were playing out so well. You were caught perfectly in generic teenage drama, of course, the little added bonuses you bring to the screen really make it worthwhile." Theater? What a callous thing to say...even if the girl could find where some truth could be found. Katrina’s teal eyes were on Takeshi, who barely reacted to Ken’s presence, his hand still hiding his eyes. The black ooze still dripped from the sleeve, however Ken touching the arm hindered the curse from revealing itself fully. “Tadah...?” Katrina says softly. Any initial annoyance she had about this situation melted, replaced with a muted sort of worry. She was not used to seeing Takeshi act that way, if ever. Sure he can be discouraged, but not of this degree. As big of a fool he was, as hopeless as he was when it came to things like love, he was still one of her few good friends...who was unfortunate enough to fall for the girl he practically worshiped. Katrina personally cared for Zxaine, her opinion formed only by gossip and word of mouth that manifested in the hallways. This confrontation definitely did not raise anymore positive perceptions. "Y'know what they say? Love triangles are never clean- oh! Did I say too much?" And there was the obvious ball drop from the knowing math teacher. With a wink and a flash, Ken and Takeshi were gone. The onlookers, knowing full well that there would be no fight to witness, began to depart little by little, still whispering whatever thoughts they had to one another. Lucas and Zxaine, oh that'll last. Poor Stella-chan, they were so perfect together, weren't they? Is Lucas-sempai really that kind of guy? I doubt it, it MUST be Zxaine. She'll just break his heart and steal another man from another girl. Katrina gazes at Zxaine, her expression impassive but her eyes cold and harsh at her reaction to Ken's little indiscretion about the love triangle. Was this a joke? It wasn’t as if Tadah’s misguided love was subtle, it was something she and his weird friend Phillip (irony there too) poked fun at him. Being Takeshi, he would shrug it off with some irked cheer. Katrina approached the pair, standing where her friend one stood. “Figures. You would be blind.” She spat at the girl, tossing the handful of small gemstones that had formed in her clenched hand. They were small opals, polished but uncut perfectly reflecting her state of mind. The combined cloudy colors of blue and green with frantic strokes of red. A few bounced, landing into the droplets of ooze that had dripped from Takeshi’s arm. A flash of lightning provided an awful, even foreboding glimmer to the gemstones. “Idiota.” And with that Katrina turned and started storming off towards the dorms. As she walked away, she raised her hand. “Much luck to your fickle love.” It occurred to her that she had no idea where Namiashi took Takeshi, but she figured he would show up back to his room eventually. Her hair was soaked and her mood was sour to a degree that she had rarely felt. All she wanted was a shower to wash away the heavier feelings that even rain could not cleanse. |

"Keep that voice of yours in check." Lucas initially froze, taking a half step back slightly when the teacher appeared before him, telling him to pull back on his powers. He breathed heavily, nothing behind it. He listened as Namiashi spoke, finally registering that Zxaine was clinging to his arm; when had this happened? At any rate, the teacher spoke of the whole situation with a light hearted tone that made it clear he found it to be something less serious than it was. "Y'know what they say? Love triangles are never clean- oh! Did I say too much?" Even Lucas had known that, though he hardly expected Ken to just say it openly. They were gone before anyone could protest to his words, and they were left standing before another stranger. Though, judging by the way she had acted moments ago, he would consider her this guy's friend. “Figures. You would be blind. Idiota.” She gives her unwanted thoughts with as much spite as expected, tossing down a few idle opals to the ground; he didn't know what he was supposed to make of that. With her part through, she turned and left, but not without adding a little extra. “Much luck to your fickle love.” There was no point fighting with her about anything; Lucas turned his attention back to Zxaine. "Let's go." He said, making a move to leave the quad as quickly as possible. |

“Figures. You would be blind. Idiota.” The spite in Katrina's voice startled her, what had SHE to do with ANY of this? She made it sound like Zxaine hurt Tadashi on purpose. She had never encouraged anything but friendship between herself and Tadashi, she never tried to hurt him. Her hazel eyes narrowed slightly, glaring at the back of Katrina, damn her for trying to make her feel like the villain. Damion agreed and snarled loudly at Katrina, raking his claws in the air at her. He had no problem with Tadashi, even if he did have feelings for his mistress, this other girl. He didn't care for her at all. Still, she kept her mouth shut, knowing if she opened it now, there would be a fight. Her eyes lowered to look at the opals that lay scattered on the ground and she kicked one back in Katrina's direction, though it didn't move very far. "Let's go." She turned and nodded at Lucas, her hand reaching to find his own, following him. Damion trotted behind the two, watching their backs as they made their escape from the quad. |
