[kaharii] "Just another one of these boring days again, eh?" Those few words slipped off the lips of a powerful man. A man both respected and feared. Not as though it was his choice, but all in all, humans never really understood his power. And what humans did not know, they feared. It was a bit sad really. Kaharii, The Tormentor would have laid his life down to protect them, and they would run from his every time he showed up. He hated it, but never would he speak of it. It wasn't like he would be able to change the human population around to love him. It would have been a fools goal. His steps quickly carried him off towards the Serpents Fang. Thugs and gangster running into ally-ways as he passed bye. They knew the rumor were indeed, true. He was an elemental, and not a common wind or fire elemental. He was one of the very few rare ones. The ones that possessed extraordinary strength and defense, The proof of his strength was on his back. A nine foot long blade hanging from his back. Lightly glowing as the setting sun touched it's golden surface. This his main blade. The ones he used only when needed, and whenever he was in Sen, he usually needed it. Although he was powerful in many different ways, did not mean he was ruthless and invincible. He would protect the citizens before himself, and it usually got him hurt. As his feet touched the padded doorway he walked in, many stopped to stare at him. He only glared in response. It was thing to look up to see who entered but that should be it. Staring was just plan rude, and he hated it. It made him feel like he was in a circus or an exhibit. Just plain annoying. Quickly, he found his normal seat at the center of the counter, the bartender coming up to him and asking "The usual?". He gave her a mere nod and slowly rose his hand to the top of his head, lightly rubbing a small scratch A yawn came quickly after as the women sat the bottle down in front of him. "Another long day?" "No... Just boring... Suyis or Any of the others been in today?" The lady merely gave a shrug giving off the hint that she didn't know before she was dragged off bye what he assumed was her manager. A man dressed in a monkey suit, gray hair, glasses, tie. Business man at the least. Probably scolding her for associating with a 'Beast' As he heard a few say. How annoying... Suyis isn't hear and all of the fools here start getting rowdy. "Heh... Suyis really does have everyone whipped..." |

[suyis] "OII! You baka! Look what you did! How am I going to explain to my sister how the sheath to my sword got all covered in alcohol?!" The good news about being what he was, anyone with a brain knew what he was capable of and thus, were quite fearful of him. It was stupid really; he only pretended to be a hard ass but really he only did what he did for the kids in Sen. A good friend of his, a number of years ago, had started an orphanage for the children that'd been abandoned or their parents lost to some disease or random war, the ones that had nowhere else to go and landed themselves in Sen, whether it was coincidence or by force. "Sorry Suyis, it won't happen again! My friend here's just really drunk that's all, don't be so upset!" He gave a half-hearted irritated look before patting them both on the head and seeing them off with a smile. "Be careful, guys. Next guy may not be so kind on you." Some of the guys around here really meant well enough. A lot of them had no choice, living like they did. Without doing dirty things like killing for money, thieving, their families would never eat. Suyis could relate in a way. He had at one time been just like that, but since the kid had up and left... well now all he had to worry about was himself and the siblings he had left. They didn't know it, but he did what he did for them, not for beer money. It was surprising Sayda had never noticed the extra cash that somehow ended up in the register. Most of what Suyis raked in went to the Serpent's Fang cash drawer. "URUSEI! You're noisy and you're gonna upset the ladies, now act like a gentleman!" The place was noisy as usual. When he wasn't around, Sayda had her hands full trying to keep the drunken brawlers under control, but Suyis was sure she could handle it. If she stuck her mind to it, she'd probably give even him a run for his money. The guy let out a burp as Suyis' sheath landed on his head. "Oro? You did pay for your last bill right? I won't have anyone giving the ladies here a hard time." The guy burped again, handing Suyis a wad of cash that was probably way over what he owed but Suyis took it anyway. Insurance, in case it happened the next time he came around. He was well known for skipping out on bills. Happily he pranced over to the bar, reaching over the edge and felt around for the cash drawer and stuck the wad in. "Oh! Harii! I wasn't expecting to see you here... well, that I was, but that's not important, it is not. How are you doing today?" |

[kaharii] It was as lively as always here. Drunks running around like chickens without heads. Brawling, arguments, drunks singing like fools, probably just for attention. It was rather funny actually. Watching that fool of a good person, Suyis waltz around, whipping people into shape. A bloody good friend, and even better as an ally. Kaharii was positive, if he was to cross blades with him... Suyis would have the advantage. That was exactly why Kaharii respected Suyis. He was a strong warrior. Someone that could kill thousands, but instead placed his power into helping thousands. 'With great power comes great responsibility'. Suyis sticked bye that quit a bit it seemed. "Eh...? Oh. You was expecting me...?" He asked, raising his eyebrow in question. He should have known. Kaharii, alone, Money to waste. Time to kill. His best friend working in the bar. He would be drinking. Now that he took the time to think about it, he was rather predictable. "Ahh, never mind. I'm just bored out of my mind. Figured I would come here for a bit if you don't mind." He said dulling his voice slightly, giving it that rough, deep voice that could probably be heard all around. The bottle of rum that he had received earlier from one of Sayda's friends quickly met his lips after speaking. It was a dull night. Hell, it had been a dull year! No wars, no riots, nothing. It was probably... Probably time for him to get a job. It was a scary thought to say the least, but the manager... Seemed to be somewhat of a nice man. One that could probably understand him if he understood Suyis and Sayda. Why not give this place a try then? "Eh Suyis... You think I could get a job here? As like... A bouncer or something? I have to get a job doing something of the sort. I'll go insane wandereing around doing nothing all day, heh..." |

[suyis] "... a wha? That is... not to say it's impossible..." So, that was weird. The first time they see each other in several weeks and the first thing that spills out of his mouth is some sloshed over nonsense about a job. Well, come to think maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea. First off he needed something to fricken do all day, Suyis knew that well enough. If it weren't for his sister randomly deciding opening a bar in Gehenna would be a good idea, Suyis probably would have gone insane and halved this planet's population. Not to say he was insane or anything. Second, the only things he was really good at was pissing people off, running his mouth, beating people shitless, getting sloshed, and being creepy. So, if he was to gain a profession it'd have to be something along the lines of security, since Suyis would kick his ass himself if he got anywhere near being a fighter-for-hire or a mercenary guy or anything. Sure, there were some people in the world that deserved to just fall over and die, but it wasn't up to others to decide who lived and who died. You don't have the right to kill something you didn't create. At least, that was Suyis' philosophy on the whole deal. "Eh... sure about this, are you? Not that I doubt your ability that is. Just... there have been some... incidents... I'm not sure you could handle, I am not." Sometimes even Suyis had his hands full. The Serpent's Fang was very popular these days, since the managers were nice and the bartenders were usually lovely ladies, and the owner was just gorgeous. Every man that had an eye for pretty ladies had tried something with Sayda but every time, if it wasn't her that did it, Suyis beat them senseless and knocked 'em out on their ass. That said, they were just a little bit too close to Sen, and a couple of the popular bars in Sen had suddenly started feeling threatened. And underground warlords weren't afraid to use force to rid themselves of threats. "Neh, tell you what, I will. I will have a word with Sayda, I'm sure she wouldn't mind, that I am. She'll give you the emergency plans. Oh... I suppose I should have a word with the other manager that I should. I'll do that then. TSUKI-CHAN!! Can you get me some tea?" She gave him a weird look, as if wondering why he still refused to touch a bottle of alcohol before going to the back to find his tea. Suyis had left a load of chamomile and Earl Grey with his sister here, but she had the day off today. "Oi... you in the red. You get anywhere near beating him up and I'll knock you into next Tuesday, that I will." The guy paused, wondering drunkenly how he'd heard him, but shit. Suyis could hear some couple a few miles away having a romantic evening right now. And he had to say; The guy really sucked at that shit. [carry on...] |
