Things were going just perfect; since he'd started in on training himself in the arts of the Japanese kodachi, his brother had gained a bit more respect for him. He'd told Nyori that it was more important to put the skills a Shade had to good use. In other words, protecting themselves and those around them. Suyis certainly wasn't a goody-goody, far from it in fact. His hands were forever stained red, the blood of those he'd slain never wearing off. And sometimes the spirits of those that had fallen at his hand bothered him from time to time, but Suyis was always nice to them. A few had actually hung around for a while and watched him, saw with their own eyes how different Suyis was from the blood thirsty monster he'd been several hundred years ago. Suyis wasn't always kind, and for thousands of years Nyori had thought killing was the only thing Shades were made to do, but Suyis didn't think that way anymore. Suyis didn't think Shades were meant to kill anymore; instead, he decided that Shades were given this much power to watch over other races, to help them where possible. Most of the spirits that created a Shade didn't want power, they didn't want blood; inside, they wanted revenge for something that had happened to them, and the only way to avenge a fallen was to be sure the wrong-doer was caught and punished accordingly, and if that was impossible to see that it never happened to anyone else. Nyori's own resident spiritual imprint was quite interesting once he got to know the guy. His name had been Shindou. Yamata Shindou. At one time he was a powerful politician, attempting to change the world with just what he had available to him. He dreamed of a new world, where peace and happiness could flourish. But those that opposed him saw him as a quack; there was no such thing as peace in times of war. They turned his own son against him, who murdered him in cold blood. It wasn't greed that made him wish to help form a Shade. In fact, it wasn't even revenge. He just wanted to make sure that the world he saw in his dreams could come about. It'd be a long time coming, but Nyori was ready for the ride. Kodachi for defense, and a Chinese wushu, called Piguaquan for offense. More often than not, Piguaquan is used with various fist techniques, but if you get lucky you can land some good hits in with kicks. Nyori had studied the art for several hundred years, attempting to master each move and its various uses, and these days it didn't seem he was doing too shabby. The mountains were a perfect place to practice his style, so usually one might find him wandering the mountain ranges. Today however, he was not here for practice. "Ohh... Nyori... it's about time you got here. Well then, have a seat. Drink?" "To what end did you request I meet you here, Adachi?" "Hm. Short and to the point I see. Well, you might have noticed a wandering swordsman about. Sword techniques died years ago, so I am curious as to how he might have learned his techniques." "What does this have to do with me?" "Simple. He's annoying and I'd prefer you ended him before he became... a problem." "Oh? Scared, are you Adachi?" "No. Just annoyed. Now then, he's usually around the Serpent's Fang. Friends with the owner or something. Just kick him around for me, if you kill him with that little kodachi of yours, I won't be the one whining to the cops." "Name?" "Suyis Black." "I'll see what I can do." His features did not change, expressions giving no sign of his internal thought processes. Such was the way he always dealt with people. It was easier in the end if they just simply didn't know. Adachi made an irritated noise, before taking his leave. "Oh, Nyori. Don't mess this up will you? He's not one to be taken lightly. Defeated sixty of my men without shedding a drop of blood aside from his own." Yep, that sounded like Suyis. "Careful." 'Hmph. You, Mr. Adachi, are the one that needs to be careful.' Nyori would play his little game then. Pretend he was after Suyis' neck. And then turn around at the last minute and rip Adachi's out instead. There were plenty of things that irritated Nyori; but the one thing that got under his skin and really fast was threatening either Suyis or Sayda. He'd never really been close to them, but both had done their share for him, taught him things, helped him tame the beast inside and become someone worth remembering. Just like that day. The last time Nyori had killed a man for no reason. The blood had dripped violently that day, staining the snow red. Suyis had found him, lingering over a young girl that had gotten caught in the crossfire. 'Nyori!' The tone had been scary, even to Nyori. He'd really pissed Suyis off that day. 'What is this? Did you kill her?' he'd asked, and Nyori hadn't answered. 'How could you! How could you end her life when it'd only just begun!' He'd slapped him then, his eyes turning an eerie gold. 'I couldn't stop her! She.. she came out to help her father!' 'Then why didn't you pull back!' 'What else am I meant to do besides kill those that get in my way! I'm not good at anything else!' 'Be someone worth remembering!' He'd started slowly, and gradually picked up speed. Eventually, Sayda offered to teach him pigua, and through research he'd learned about the uses of the kodachi. Even if he spent his entire life working toward that goal, one day he'd be someone that Suyis would find worth remembering. [ooc: just transferring posts peoples.] |

The roaring of a wave of flames, crazed laughter, and the clinging of blades clashing together could be heard all around the plains. Not long ago, this very day, Akuma Masurao had taken a job to kill a lone swordsman, and of course, he wouldn't pass up the opportunity. Not many people took the the way of the sword anymore. It was all about bombs and guns and all that crap for those lazy pieces of shit that was to lazy to work for a kill. People that didn't want to risk their neck, or have a bit of fun while fighting. Those were the people Akuma hated, and would never wet his blade on them. Luckily though, Fortune came to his doorstep today because he landed a fight of a lifetime. The man that the old geezer thought was a swords man was nothing more then a Water Elemental. Now Water Elementals were a bit rare around here now-a-days. Not only did they dislike straying away from their clan base, but there also seemed to be a small amount of them left anymore. To bad it had to be one of them, that Akuma had to come across. He put up quit a battle for the 'Demon of Flames' but he still wasn't able to leave alive. The open plains of wheat and grass had been swept away in flames and water, reduced to nothing but sludge and soaked ash, leaving a burning smell in the back of the elementals nose. "Ahh, Time to get the fuck out of here. Smells like shit!" He shouted before slowly turning around giving one last look to the corpse. "To bad you had to die here... You was a good source of entertainment... For a 'bit at least, heh!" The golden optics turned away from the corpse once and for all as he headed towards the mountains once again, steam rolling off from his hot, yet soaked body. His shirt partially in tack due to the flames consuming him in battle. That was the bad thing about being a Fire Elemental; You always go through clothes like hell! It really sucked today, because this had to be one of his favorite shirts. "Ah well... Suppose that's what I get for not thinking about the fight..." The golden optical looked upwards, catching the sight of someone he had heard quite a bit about. The master of Kodachi. Nyori. His last name was a mystery still but it hardly made a difference to Akuma. He was strong. Akuma liked to fight strong people. That was that. The steam and smoke still seemed to roll off his skin and cloths as he came up closer to the male, stopping at a mere five feet away. His smile growing wide as he began to speak. "Your that Kodachi Master, Nyori, arnt'cha!? One of the last people that still wander around with a sword. Heh! Glad to see I'm not the only one." He stood his ground. His hand resting lazily over the hilt of his blade which hung from the stash around his waist. Of course he wouldn't make a move unless said to do otherwise. Or what he hoped, he would do. |

"Maybe I am, and maybe I'm not." His dark eyes remained trained on the path Adachi had taken, wondering curiously how long it'd take him to figure it out, if ever. Surely he had his sources; it wouldn't take him very long to find out he and Suyis were related. If he didn't already know of course. There was a slight lilt in his voice when he'd said his brother's name. Curiously, Nyori hadn't the slightest as to whether such a lilt was due merely to his fear of his brother's name, as though saying it among comrades might be able to summon his presence, or if it was due to him knowing Nyori's last name. Just what was he playing at? "You must be Masurao. Where's Suyis?" He shifted then, his senses picking up on someone's passing. He'd known there were people nearby; surely Akuma was one of them, and the other must have been that water elemental he'd seen a while ago. It was a shame. Their numbers had been nearly cut in half due to the fire elementals and their love for war. A few tribes hadn't been like that, not unless it was necessary. He grimaced, placing one of his kodachi in the ground near the base of a tree, placing a few flowers nearby at its base as a sort of funeral for the water elemental whose light he'd sensed had gone out. "It's imperative I find him, and quickly. There's a few things I think he needs to know before it's too late. ... well. Maybe it'd be best if he didn't know. He's horrible at playing games." |

"Ehhh? Now thats not cool..." He said with somewhat of a goofy frown. Of course he knew this was Nyori. Just as dark, mysterious, and chilling as he had heard of. The twin Kodachi... It was to much evidence to say that he wasn't. Besides that, his next sentence practically gave it away that he was him. Some people... Just couldn't keep secrets, and This guy was one of them. "Suyis...? So you are is brother! Man, You either have a short attention span, or you can't keep a secret... " He said slowly cracking a smile and bowing his head, the black hair flowing forward and then back as he lifted his head. "I~ honestly dunno. Probably hanging out with Kaharii or at something like always..." His voice trailed off, looking up the mountain, at the cabin which he was needed to go. That was the thing about this place. That man up there, Adachi was crooked, corrupted, and evil as all hell, but he still payed good. Some of his work was legit, and some was plain retarded. The water elemental guy? Supposedly he had been torturing some towns folk and what not, making business hard for him. So why the hell not kill him off? Didn't mater much to Akuma, He needed to bring food to the table somehow, right? "Stay here. I gotta run to go collect my money and I'll help ya look around for him. I need to find Kaharii anyways. Or Rena at least..." He said, looking to him one last time before turning around and wandering up the hill towards the cabin one last time. |

"I just figure you'll find out eventually, so why bother covering it up. Besides, it's not like I don't look like him." He stopped then, wondering for a time just what it was that Suyis had done that would make Adachi so upset. Well, it was easy to understand what kind of guy he was. He didn't like people who didn't like him. Which was as much a paradox as anything... a problem was he? More than likely, Suyis had seen fit to thwart Adachi and his efforts. Just what it was he wanted? Well, he didn't say it outright, but Nyori was pretty sure he wanted total control over Sen, and the only way to do that was to get rid of Suyis, he was right. "It's probably best in the long run if he didn't know about this. That way he can actually play the part right when I go 'kill him'. ... then again I don't want to get my ass handed to me..." He thought about it for a while, shrugging to show he'd still be there when Akuma came back. For some reason, he'd imagined he would have chilled out; Nyori wandered a lot, so he knew a lot of people, mostly fire elementals since they were dominate next to the air elementals. The earth had died out for the most part, only two left and they were called Riven now. Of course everyone knew the Masurao family; mostly because of Cassandra, but Akuma himself was scary, and his daughters were no better. He thought for a moment, wondering why it was he'd need to speak to Kaharii... but then figured it wasn't his business. Just like he wouldn't tell why else he needed to talk to Suyis. Adachi had his information holes, that he did, and he'd known about a few attacks recently on a tribe of water elementals. The Kurenai. He supposed he should warn Phoebe as well, as the Kurenai may eventually be after them too. There was another attack, not really an attack more of a homicide. The Razziek had come out finally, after nearly three thousand years. |

"Job well done, Masurao. I have one more job for you..." Akuma's eye's narrowed down towards Adachi as he placed the sack of money on the table that laid between them both. It was difficult to know just what this man was thinking. Knowing him he would try to kill Akuma off some how, but... If he had something of a brain, he'd know it would take a lot more then what his men could pull off. "Are you familiar with a swordsmen named Nyori or Suyis?" "Who isn't?" "Heh... I would like you to help Nyori kill Suyis. Suyis will jeopardize everything I have in store for Sen. He needs to be silenced." "Tsk. Your asking a lot... 1 Mill. No lower." "Hmph... Fine... Better hurry one with it then." "Heh! Aye aye~!" Akuma quickly snatched the sake laying on the table and placed it inside the Kimono he was wearing, quickly walking out and down the road. This was good... A quick stab to Suyis' Gut, he holds off the dusting, They get the money, and then kill Adachi. Easy as cake. "Cake sounds good... Oi! Nyori!" He shouted, waving his free hand over his head, showing that he was back already. "I have a job for us... I know now why your after Suyis. Adachi wants me to 'help' you." A small smirk rose to his lip's, showing that he head zero interest in killing his dear friend Suyis. Suyis had done wonders for everyone. Of course he could be an ass at times, but other then that, he was a damn nice person, and showed it with that blade he has now. Other then that... Akuma probably would only be able to give him a good run around the lap. Killing him? Doubt it. Only way that'd happen is if he was caught off guard. Other then that? Never gonna happen! |
