The season, which will run through March 1st, also includes the punk rock legends The New York Dolls (February 1st), CMA Award winner Lee Ann Womack (February 8th), folk/rock star Jewel (February 15th), singer/songwriter Rickie Lee Jones (February 22nd), and rock legends Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers on March 1st from Gainesville . 'We are so fortunate to have attracted such a diverse group of artists for the fourth season of Soundstage,' says Joe Thomas, founder of HD Ready. I am all over that one. Don't forget to tell your local radio stations either, while requesting her songs. They love to tie in a couple of things together when possible. |

My PBS station is airing it tonight at 10PM. I can't believe they didn't air her performances of "Take Me Back To Texas" and "You Don't Know Me". Well, at least I can look forward to hearing a couple of songs I've never heard before (or at least I think I haven't) Also can look forward to Julie.

I just couldn't wait to get home to respond about Soundstage. The link you posted for pics is of WKAR out of E. Lansing, MI (home of Michigan State University) and it's the station I watched the show on. Love Put A Song In My Heart was fun and uptempo. It's going to disappoint those of us who appreciate the challenging quality of music she makes because it's pretty straight forward and simple, but it's also very catchy and I just hope it goes over well with the buying public. It reminded me of a contemporary service song in church. Him (Her) is incredible. It is such a soulful piece of music and LAW gave her all on it. They even had to bleep it once. It sent chills up my spine, honestly. It won't be on radio, though, that much is for sure. Why won't it be on radio? Because radio sucks, that's why.
Overall, though, I really enjoyed the show. |

Great show!! I agree about "Love Put a Song In My Heart". I like it, but just not as much as the rest of the new ones. It's always great to hear the LAW sing songs I'd never heard before. "Him" is definitely the best new song so far (besides "Finding My Way Back Home"). She's at her best when she pours it all out in a song (especially live). This song is a fine example of that. I would really love to see her do a show where she didn't do "I Hope You Dance". I know that a lot of people come to see her to hear that song specifically, and it probably wouldn't go over too well if she left it out. It's kinda strange that I would say that about one of all-time favorites. I get very different feelings about it now for some reason. Maybe it's because of the radio. That's just me. I would've liked to see more of Julie. I love her to death, but I'd give up seeing more of her for more of the LAW any day. |

No, it's not just you. I think radio killed it due to overexposure. It's probably one of my all time favorites too but I skip over it every chance I get now. But the LAW is stuck. The first show I ever saw it at she said something funny about it, too. She said she tried to do a concert without singing it once but she overheard some lady say afterward, "Lee Ann Womack, you suck." I think it's probably a tall tale, but it does drive home the point she's forever stuck with singing the song whenever she sings a set now, which is a shame. |

Yeah, she's got to sing it haha. You guys are totally right, and I agree. IHYD is actually my most favorite LAW song, but since I have seen her on tv, sing it live so many times, I'd prefer to see other song performances than that one, but I know it won't happen. I definitely see how it's a blessing and a curse
