I didn't know it until I just read it yesterday from another fan online. Therefore, the veracity of the info remains under scrutiny. ;-)

ah, ok. Thanks though! I just check his website and on the tracklist, there's no LAW mentioned anywhere :shakehead: : http://timmcgraw.com/news_story.html?content_id=340561

Here's a new tid-bit with good and bad news:

"...Already a favorite among industry veterans, (Randy) Rogers just landed a cut "Down And Out" on the upcoming Lee Ann Womack album FINDING MY WAY BACK HOME, to be released early next year on Mercury Records Nashville. "If you haven't checked out Randy Rogers yet...I encourage you to do so," said Womack. "His voice and songwriting is genuine and refreshing, I look forward to seeing what he brings to our format." "

- Very cool about the song...can't wait to hear her version! Bad news though about the album being pushed back to 2007 :( ...

Also....forgot to ever mention this, I think...but Lee Ann sang background vocals on Alan Jackson's latest album, Like Red On A Rose. I listened to the whole album on CMT.com yesterday : http://www.cmt.com/artists/az/jackson_alan...743/album.jhtml

Based on my ears, it sounds like Lee Ann sings on two songs, #5. "Don't Change On Me" with Alison Krauss, and then I think definitely on #6. "The Firefly's Song". Check them out!

Thanks, CF. I'll be getting AJ's album. Even though I want to hear LAW's new stuff sooner, I think it a wise move to push it back. There is so much coming out this fall I'm afraid it would have gotten lost.

OMG, I'm listening to the AJ right now, thanks to your link, and I'm on track 2 (I'm sure I hear Dan Tyminski), and personally, I'm digging it. It reminds me of SWLB and I hope it gives LAW some comfort in knowing that awesome album wasn't a waste. I don't think the stick-in-the-muds will like AJ's new stuff, though. :cowboy: And actually, that's not such a bad thing. It might even prompt them to grow and break out of their shells some. :blind:

No problem! Yeah, it might be for the best, though I worry that LAW's commercial popularity is dropping because of radio, which shouldn't be important in the long run, but it is to me. I believe that because I always want LAW to get more fans and sell a lot of records, and have huge hits because of course I want to hear them on the radio as opposed to some of the crap that is, and makes it to #1 or whatever. I did read that the album may come out in February '07...so like two years after TMWTCF: hard to imagine!

When I first heard his album, I was disappointed because it's way too slow and the instrumentation is not too country overall, and more bluesy/jazzy-ish. But now, after listening to it again (I know it's one of those albums that you need to listen to several times to appreciate and learn to love, at least, for me lol), I'm liking it more and I know there will be times where I will not be in the mood to listen to those songs, because I think you have to be in a certain mood (not in an exciting, uptempo mood because you'd want fast songs lol). Anyways, when I did first listen to it, I did like some songs and parts of others. I love the background vocals too...I know Dan Tyminski is on the album! I know some fans who are angry and will not buy it, which is of course, their choice, but I wish they'd give it more of a chance. I didn't love "Like Red On A Rose" like I do now in the beginning, and I got used to it and it's an incredible song.

Well, I certainly don't understand why radio manages their music as they do, but I wouldn't mind owning and running a station of my own. I would try something new right away. lol

I do like AJ's new music, although I know there's a lot that won't. He is very well known as a traditional country champion and this isn't going to fly with those fans. I like it because I like that style anyway, not having grown up pure country. I kind of like not being tied down to one style.

Oh well, how's school going? Are you adjusting well, keeping up on the studies, gaining weight yet? ;-) It's really easy that first year so just watch it, y'hear? Take care and all the best, CF.

One of my wishes was to be a deejay at a country radio station, and then I thought bigger and I'd love to own my own radio station and play the music I want to: that would be so fun! :D (maybe someday we should join up and make our own  )

I love different styles of country music so I'm glad AJ did this. Even though I LOVE his music, some of it, I'll admit sounds the same or too similar. I keep listening to his new album online, like last night while I did some reading and a paper, and it's relaxing and good mind music. I'm beginning to really appreciate it a lot .... and I love that harmony by Alison & Lee Ann! I don't know why, but I haven't heard or listened for Dan, even though I love his voice!

Hahaha...I know about that. Unfortunately looks like I am eating too much 9I'm not used to eating such big portions every meal lol). I really do and wanted to start up running again, but it's tough to find a good time in my schedule and then find time for other things. It's complicated. I have really gone down on the amount of pop ("soda") I drink, so that's good (and I drink a lot more water!). My studying habits are alright, but I stay up way too late every day, so I need to go to sleep earlier. I have to eat lunch right now, so I'll see you later....

Country music performer Lee Ann Womack entertained the crowd with songs that included "San Antonio Rose."

HOUSTON, (Continental Airlines) - Continental Airlines today announced the grand prize winner of its Continental Music Showcase, a contest to recognize employees' musical talents. Receiving the top nod was Oliver Goodridge, spouse of Carol Goodridge, an Atlanta airport agent, for his vocal and instrumental performance of his original composition, "Boston." Showcase winners, whose entries were judged by Grammy and Country Music Award (CMA) winner, Lee Ann Womack, and a panel of co-workers, will have their performances played on one of the music channels onboard Continental flights.

Giving Props: A tribute to rockers The Band is coming Jan. 30. Josh Turner, Rosanne Cash and The Allman Brothers are aboard the Band-wagon for this one. Lee Ann Womack might want to stick to salads since she’ll be covering the group’s classic “The Weight” on the effort.

Lee Ann is already doing studio duty on her next album.

November 3, 2006--Lee Ann Womack says the hardest part about being a country singer is balancing stardom and motherhood, reports The Tennessean. Lee Ann joined Van Zant, Julie Roberts, Lorrie Morgan, Keith Anderson and Trent Tomlinson at Thursday night's CMA Celebrity Close Up taping at the Wildhorse Saloon. They answered questions from GAC host Lorianne Crook and a few of the several hundred audience members. The event was taped by GAC for two shows airing early next year.

Lee Ann says she tries to be a normal mom who bakes cookies and serves as a room mother, but she doesn't always get it right. "I don't know the rules," she says. For instance, recently she picked up nuggets from Chick-fil-A for her daughter's class party. Turns out, they were fried in peanut oil, to which some students could be highly allergic.

"I don't know these things," she says. "They were like, 'Tfft, you can't bring those.'"

She says the juggling act can be difficult. "Occasionally you do get that thing right for the kid, and you feel like, 'Maybe I did something right.'"
