Ok, this is really getting weird. On several forums that I have posted in lately, automatic links have been made to key phrases. I type in something about flowers, post my comment, and then a link appears at the word "flowers" advising me where I can order flowers. Anybody else been experienceing this lately? It happened again. This time to the word "franchises".

In my first post, the word "again" created an automatic link. It maybe that I have used links so many times and beatend up on codes related to those links that the computer is just starting to create such links randomly. Kind of a scary thought if that is what is happening. Edit: Oh my. Now the word "codes" created an automatic link. Have I created a monster? Edited by caltrek, Apr 15 2013, 08:44 AM.

Caltrek, are you removing the links from your posts as they appear? If so, wait for me to look it over the next time it happens. PM when it does and let me know what thread to look in. |

Hey caltrek! I am pretty sure that is a Browser issue. There is a feature or way to disable "InfoLinks" so that they don't appear, but I would have to check more into it. Can you tell us what browser you are using? |

I think you are on the right track re: the browser issue. I seemed to have picked up some spy ware thingy that was also slowing down my computer. I had a local free lance computer security geek look at it for me. He cleaned up the performance problems. Still getting more automatic links though. May have something to do with "MixiDJ Customized Web Search". I guess I will have to talk to him some more. Thanks for all the feedback. It really helps knowing what is on my screen versus knowing what shows up on community websites like this. Edit: Now "computer security" creates a link. Additional Edit:...which has now disappeared.
