I was going to wake everyone up but 24 beat me to it. Good Morning people of KOT. Good luck on your venture into the real world 24. It's a jungle out there. Keep your phaser in your pocket at all times. Do NOT stop to look at ugly cars. Upon your return, you will be required to report to the ministry of disinformation for your debriefing. We look forward to your return to the KOT-hood. In the meantime, Big Boss will keep your seat warm, literally, by sitting in it 24/7.Safe journey. |

I won a coffee yesterday. So since I saved on my morning coffee today, I bought a muffin. Lemon Cranberry muffin, my favourite

Maybe next time huh? If I win another coffee that is. I'll only treat myself to baked goods there if I'm saving money somewhere else

Yep, I'm definitely trying to do that more and more these days. It's working pretty well so far. I haven't had to borrow money from anyone, or do without for a while now. Although I'm going to need to spend a bit soon. I don't have enough storage space in my apertment. The other morning, I got up quickly from bed to answer the phone, and I stepped on something on the floor, and lost my balance, and fell flat on my butt, right on the piles of books and things on the floor. I was(and still am) pretty bruised up over that.. That's when I thought...I need a shelving system or something...lol |

GMel, That's awesome.
We rented two storage units for about three years ($75.00 per month). We didn't want to do it, but really had very little choice. All of our large furniture went there, as did about 3,000 books (albums, CDs, DVDs, LPs etc. were stored in my office at work for reasons of humidity and temperature control). About two years after that, a major fire (arson) destroyed several of the storage units. Ours was not destroyed; however, the smoke and soot from nearby storage units destroyed most of our furniture, including an upright piano (but very thankfully, NOT the books). Believe me, the books are not as easily replaceable as was the furniture. We looked at the fire as a blessing in disguise, as it really helped us to weed before we moved into our new home. It was at this time that we decided to move everything we had left into two 10 x 20 store-bought storage units. These served us well for our twenty-month camping experience. I was concerned about how they would hold up in the winter time (esp. with books and many other things under them), but they held up very well.
Great. Now injured Cindy will have to look after her mom.

Wow! Good thing those books were ok. I agree, books are much harder, sometimes impossible to replace than furniture. I'd be interested in hearing more about your 20 month camping experience someday...

Will do.
I'll see what I can do. However, I'm not doing anything special. Just a family obligation thing this weekend.
Please do that. I know how wily Mel can get sometimes.
Its Big Boss you really need to keep an eye on. However, I think Intrepid has that one under control.
