Hope you're not too late for work IE and that the garage door repairman doesn't charge you an arm and a leg.

I am late for work and I'm going out the door right after this post. And he did charge an arm and a leg. Apparently, my door never had a part installed that it should have. Consequently, my door has been over-stressed for the past 8 years. So, he put in that part, two springs, and changed out all the rollers. I'm not sure I really needed all the rollers replaced, but since I do know at least a couple needed to be replaced, I let him do them while he was here anyway.

The main thing I probably got overcharged for were the springs. I saw them for $50 a piece on the internet, but he charged $120 each, not including labor. :ermm: All tolled, $540 to fix my door. And that followed the $1,065 I spent on my car two Saturdays ago. :thud:

Good morning everyone! :hello:

Glad you got your garage door fixed, IE. Sorry it cost so much to get fixed. You could almost buy a new one for that price I would think.

Glad Cindy has made some progress in getting well. Broken bones are major nuisance.

Hope you enjoy your week off, Intrepid. :)

Woo! Warner is getting a new-ish car! :woohoo:

Maybe you will win something next time, Mel. :D

Its past lunchtime here, but I could be persuaded to eat what Mfive is cooking.

We're on our way Mfive. ;)

As soon as we pick up Mel, we'll be over. In fact, I'm feeling so generous, I'll do the dishes after we eat your food MFive.

24 and Mel,

How about on the way home we go take a peek at Warner's new car?

It is going to be a van, although I haven't seen it yet. Our mechanic is towing our broken down car to his home today. But once we get the van, you're all invited to go joy riding with me. :) ;)

A van? Well you can certainly fit a bunch of us in there now. :wow:

Yep! I trust our mechanic a lot, since we are probably going to be buying this vehicle sight unseen. :)

I just realized that what I wrote above is not entirely correct. We will see and drive the vehicle first. :)
