It's still snowing here. We got plowed out, but we will need to be plowed again in a few hours.

My daughter had a sliding accident at school today after lunch. Her class was outside doing winter activities.

Not a half hour after getting to work, her teacher walks in the room I work in and told me about it.

I took her to the hospital's emergency room, and her clavicle is broken. :(

Just before March Break too...

Gosh! Sorry Mel. Please know I am thinking about her quick recovery. :) :)

BTW, our son broke his collar bone when he was being born. It healed very quickly.

Yeah it seems to be a common enough injury. She's in a lot of pain right now though. The doctor said that she would probably start to feel better in a few days.

GMel,

If you don't mind me asking, what do they give girls her age for a painkiller in this situation?

GMel,

Tylenol 2 with codeine.

One to two tablets every 4 to 6 hours.

I'll just give her one at a time though, maybe two at bedtime.

This has been a very strange week.  Each day has been flying by, but the week as a whole has been dragging.  :headscratch:

Who are you again? :chin:   :prop:

They must have you working the grindstone. Good to see you.

:D

Thanks, and they do. I feel like I did two weeks worth of work this week. And there's no end in sight. My project deadline is only 2 weeks away now. And I'm guessing there will be another extension, but this pace will continue until project completion.

Unfortunately, my home life is equally busy lately. Between the two, that's why I haven't been around very much. It seems like I get out of bed running and don't stop until I get back in 17 or 18 hours later.

Mel,

I'm very sorry to hear that! :( Having just been through my own daughter's accident last month, I know how disheartening that must be. I hope she recovers quickly - and you too!

GMel,

Thanks. I was just curious. I have this tendency to want to give our little ones more than they should have at times.

Here's hoping she's back to her normal self really soon. :) :)

Aww I know. It just broke my heart to see her crying like that. I went back the computer lab I work in, and told my boss..."I have to go..I have to take her to the hospital" Then she asked me, "wow is it that bad...what's wrong?"...and I couldn't give her a straight answer...just..."I gotta bring her"...and I was fighting back the tears...

She gave us a ride there. I have a good boss. :)

GMel,

:( There is nothing quite like hearing your own child's (serious) cry. I'm not talking about the whining, but the cries that really get a parent to sit up and take notice.

Good morning. :) The snow has finally stopped here. We're going to be shoveling out in a few minutes. Thankfully, the person that does our plowing came around 1 p.m. yesterday, which gives us a fighting chance to dig out.

Mel, I hope your daughter heals quickly. Sorry to hear about that accident.

Warner, good luck with the shovelling. At least it's good exercise, so you don't have to go to the gym!

TribbleMom,

Thanks. We're shoveled out, and my wife just left with our eldest son.

We have some wonderful snow drifts outside. March really came in like a lion! I think we got more snow the first two days of March than we have for all other days this winter combined.

March is usually one of our snowiest months as well. Now I'm just waiting for the proverbial other shoe to drop.
Glad you've gotten dug out, Warner.

For some reason, I thought we were going to have an early spring. I mistakenly thought that once we were out of February, we'd be all set. ;)

Good afternoon everybody!

So sorry to hear about Cindy Mel. I hope she's feeling a little better as well as you.

So what's up 24, Warner, IE, Mel, Big Boss, Tribblemom, MFive, Captain Pineapple-icious and Swidden? The snow storm that hit Warner missed us. We got a little rain and that's it. We are fortunate.

So I'll be spending the day, spring cleaning. I've got this sudden urge to "pitch".....garbage, that is. I want to minimize. I want to simplify. Who needs 20 pair of shoes and double that in handbags? I have this sudden urge to alphabetize something.... anything. It must be that "Swiffer" I bought. It's driving me nuts. The minute a friend of mine put one in my hands I've been wandering my house looking for dust and *gulp* FINDING IT! :scared:

Last night I was wondering how to catalogue my DVD collection. Should it be by genre and then alphabetize or just plain alphabetize? But doing that would seperate all my Elvis movies and I don't want that.

Decisions, decisions......

Take care everybody!
