I thought I would share this story, which happened tonight. We were watching an episode of Roswell, and in it, Brody (he's the head of the UFO Center) is holding what he believes to be an alien artifact in his hand. It goes off, and it sends out a green ring which looks like some kind of zapping ray of sorts. It knocked one of the aliens (he was breaking into the center) back several feet, and at precisely the moment that that happened, our two-year old fell backward in her chair (it sits very low to the ground) as well. Our eldest daughter said, "Is there something we ought to know about my sister?" :loling: :rotfl: The timing could not have been better if we had planned it. :)

 That's funny!

It was really precious to see it happen. I may need to get me one of those artifacts. J/K. ;)

Warner,

Is there something you want to tell us about your daughter? ;)

Timing.... it's all in the comedic timing.

LOL. She's two. She really loves to be part of everything we do. This makes it difficult when it's her bedtime, however.

^^ Absolutely! :D

Those old fashioned cokes in a glass bottle are nice too. Haven't seen those in a while.

Coke is ok (definitely better than Pepsi IMO) but I'm a Canada Dry Ginger Ale kinda guy myself. :D Actually, there was a time when I hardly drank anything but Coke (except coffee of course). Maybe that's why I eventually switched.

I remember being about five years old, and going for a walk with my uncle to the Hideaway. It was a restaurant of sorts, complete with twirling seats (near the counter), much Coke (in the original bottles), and juke box song menus that one could choose from sitting at the booth one was eating at. Those were the days....

For some reason, that image reminds me of Woolworth's.

Are you guys familiar with that retail chain? Or is that just an east coast thing?

And oh.....

Good morning everybody! I'm starving. What's for breakfast?

I am familiar with the name Woolworths. I don't know where any are around here (if there are any).

Good morning everyone! :)

When you find the breakfast, let me know. I'm hungry too.

Intrepid,

Yes, nice! I used to go down in the basement of Woolworths. They had many bargain there, including rare and out-of-print LPs (recordings). Those too were nice memories, along with shopping (as a child) at A&P.

I bet you have moved on to James Blunt? :wow: ;) He's much better than Coldpay at least.

Didn't some music station in England or Scotland end up banning his music because the listeners got fed up with hearing his songs over and over?

I just dropped our car off for repairs. I was going to walk about seven miles home, but I got a ride. :)

No, I did not have any coffee with me. ;)

Having to drop the car off for repairs is annoying.

You didn't hitchhike did you?

No, I did not. I needed to get my daily run in, so I did that for about two miles. Then, my wife came by. (She assumed that I was going to be walking home.) It was nice to get a lift.
