Study, study, study!

Good job on the math, though.

Grey (more salt than pepper) on the head probably has a lot to do with it. That started showing up right around the end of high school. Beard is getting whiter too. Plus, I am a firm believer in letting nature take its course.
Hmm, that wouldn't help me much. ;)
I don't have a beard, but I do have some greys. About equal salt and pepper now, but my natural hair color is fairly light so the greys aren't as obvious as they could be if my hair was darker. I too believe in leaving it it's natural color.

IE, the race is in the latter half of July. So, a little over a month from now. I have been actually running more to prep for it. Figuring it is a good idea to actually do as much of that during the race instead of walking it.
Good job keeping up with it. Keep us posted. :)

Haven't decided if I want to go au natural when the grey takes over. I used to color my hair for years just to change things up. However, it got to be too high maintenance. At least once every 3 -4 weeks if I didn't want my natural hair color to show too much at the root. I haven't colored my hair in about 12 years now though. I have a little bit of grey, but it is not very obvious yet.
My wife has colored her hair for years because it started greying significantly when she was in her twenties. It does seem like only a few weeks before the greys start showing at the roots again. Although, like Swidden, I believe in letting hair go it's natural course, in her case with it going grey so early, I might have done the same with the coloring.

Got an A on my maths assignment, which was a surprise!

Anyway, I was sick all weekend, and I've got exams next week which I'm a bit concerned about!!
Congrats on the A and good luck with the exams! I hope you're feeling better now.

Our well went kaput recently. We are having a new well dug yesterday/today. The dig yesterday was kind of exciting with all of the equipment they bring in to drill the well. To balance out the weight and force of the drill, the truck got jacked up in the air about five feet. It makes the truck look like it is levitating. LOL. They are back today to complete the installation of the pipe/wiring, etc. If all goes well, we should have water again by tonight.

You don't realize how often you turn on the water until nothing comes out. Hope it's done soon!

Hello 24, i'm very sorry to hear about the recent trouble you have had with your old well. I really hope the installation of your new well goes smoothly. Were you able to access another water source while you waited?

Exactly! They left about an hour ago. Everything is up and running again. They "shock the well" with chlorine at first to make sure there is no bacteria in the water. We will be running that through the system for a while today. We have running water though and all the toilets can thankfully be flushed when we want!

We had to go buy a whole bunch of water for drinking, washing, cooking.... We had huge jugs of water that we used to flush the toilets with. The neighbor let us fill those up at his outdoor water spicket whenever we wanted.

Does that mean you've been bombarded with the smell of chlorine all day?

Not really. It was very mild smelling. Also, we flushed it pretty hard via the outdoor hose, showers, toilets and we ran a bunch of laundry. We washed laundry that normally requires Clorox (light towels) or wouldn't be hurt by a little chlorine...so that flushed it even more.

How is everyone celebrating the 4th?

We'll have a quiet day at home and then we'll take Jericho to one of his favorite walking spots in the evening. It's this lovely outdoor mall in the shape of a square. It's beautifully lit and they play classical music over the loudspeakers.

I started an Independence Day thread. I went ahead and replied there... :highfive:

Hi everyone :wave2:

I ran the 5k race yesterday and was happy with the result. I ran it in 24 minutes and 32 seconds which is about 1 minute and 40 seconds faster than what I ran last April. It also brought my pace under the 8 minute per mile mark (it works out to around 7 minutes and 50 seconds per mile). I still have a lot of work to do to get down to 7 minutes per mile, but at least I'm heading in the right direction. :) Now I'm setting my sights on a 5 mile race in October.

STF, I'm so sorry!! This right after losing your guinea pig. That's so terribly sad. I wish there were some way I could help. Losing a beloved pet is such a hard loss.

I hope things get better for you soon.
