I've only been to two Trek cons and both were in 2004. The first and best con was in London and it was the first time I'd travelled overseas. I met Connor Trinneer (my whole reason for going), Dominic Keating, Hallie Todd, & Marina Sirtis, among others.

Some of the Harry Potter kids were there as well. I met the Phelps twins (the Weasley's) and Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom). The third film was opening the following month.

The best part was meeting so many of my friends from the Trek & Trinneer site(s) message boards. There was the English contingent, of course, but also friends from Germany, Australia and the US. It was one of the best experiences of my life!

Does anyone here go to cons?
Like you, I have only been to two. The first was way back in the late 70's as ramp up for TMP in Monterey, California. The only time they had done one, George Takei was the featured guest at no additional charge (that's how they did it in the old days!). So young at the time my friend's mom and my mom took us.

The second was in the late 90's in SF. A buddy of mine I had been playing competitive paintball with was a fan and wanted to someone to hang out at it with him. They had a number of the big names at that one. Afterwards we headed over to the Tadich Grill.

There was a con in Boston, MA last July. Connor Trinneer was there and I had been looking forward to it for months. I live just south of Boston and was planning to go in for the day. (CT was signed-up for Friday only.) That morning I woke-up with a blinding migraine and could barely stand-up, so I had to miss it.

In October of this year the music students are doing a solo performance. I've chosen to play the theme song from Schindlers List.

The violin part in this video is exactly the same music as I'll be playing! I've got a bit of work to do! :)

Thankyou guys, I hope I can do it as well! The same version is in the AMEB book I last did over a year ago before I quit. I've got 6 months to prepare so I hope to improve! :)

Just a quick note, I have been a member here for over a year now and in that short period I've seen the sites post count go from just under 40,000 posts to over 60,000 posts! Thats awesome thing to see. :)

Yes, I will. I'm not sure whether to be excited or nervous!

I watched some of the star wars movies for the first time (Episodes I-II) - and I hate to admit it but I kind of liked it! (I've watched parts of the older ones). My aunt was clearing out her house and she gave me the older star wars movies on DVD (Episodes IV - VI) and the newer ones on Video (ep. I-II).

Today is ANZAC day, a day to remember the soldiers who have died to make our country a free one. Lest we Forget.

The ultimate sacrifice made by others so that we can enjoy the lives and freedom we have today must always be remembered. Rest In Peace.
