This second term in school is draining me, don't have time for anything else. :P
I'm feeling the same way about my daughter's 4th grade. She's still young enough to require a lot of help from her parents, especially given some of the material they are giving her to do. So we do a lot of homework together, but they are giving her so much we are typically working up to between 11:00 PM and midnight. Sometimes I can leave her working briefly and go do something else in between, but that amounts to washing dishes, walking the dog, paying the bills, etc. TV, movies, and anything else fun is almost non-existent for me lately. I can't even find time to read on my Kindle much lately.

Some of you may recall that I started running again last year due to my company getting involved in a corporate 5K race. That was last April and I continued to run until about the end of August. However, I stopped running around then. I kept intending to get back in it, but there always seemed to be some reason I didn't quite get going again. Around November, I was annoyed with myself for having stopped for so long and one day I was determined "next Monday" (back then) I would start again. But that weekend I came down with bronchitis which took me until the middle of December to recover from. Then there were holidays and other things keeping me busy and tired so I STILL haven't started running again.

As January passed by, I heard nothing about the corporate 5K this year. Our last year's company president who was most involved in it last year also has retired. So I began to think we must not be doing it this year. So my motivation for starting again was slipping away again. Until today...

I just found out we ARE doing the corporate 5k again this year! Ugh! I have only 8 weeks to train now and it will be like starting all over... :banghead:

My hair is doing a good job of falling out on it's own and what is left is rapidly turning grey. It would not take too long to shave the rest of my hair off LOL.
I say go for it! LOL.
And, if you do Goliath, we want pictures! :P
LOL, never going to happen. :D

Psyched for tonight, our band is doing a showcase set at the legendary Toad's Place in New Haven...hopefully it will lead to a future booking there (like opening for a known artist)...

I've been to Toad's many, many times over the decades but have never played there...Toad's is one of those clubs that EVERYONE has played at on their way up (such as Bruce Springsteen, U2, INXS, The Ramones, Shiela E.) or even after they've made it big (like Blue Oyster Cult, Bob Dylan, Robert Cray, even The Rolling Stones). It's not as much THE place like it used to be over the past five years or so...but it's still Toad's Place, and still has it's aura to it.

Cool, have fun!

Wrestling is done for my kid. He didn't make it past Districts. Only one of the team made it to state this weekend.

Well maybe I'll look like that by race time. :D

I went running this morning and it was tough to complete 1 1/2 miles. The proper emoticon would resemble a turtle. I have a lot of work to do... :P

Never thought six songs could go by so fast, yet we had to skip the seventh because we ran long...

My 15 year old loved Toad's, she says it has a "great vibe"...when I took her around to show her some of the signs of just a portion of the bands that have played there she was almost in awe. When she saw the signed picture from the first time the Red Hot Chili Peppers played there, in the days before they were a hosehold name and I told her "I was here for that" she was just "Ooooooohhhhh". Showed her where Joey Ramone sweat on me...where I met the Del-Lords...where things that used to be no longer are...she was impressed.

As for us? Well...
