Ah, so THIS is what it's like to breath! After this week of work and having no time to breath, I had almost forgotten...
Things are too crazy for you at work lately. :incircles: :incircles:
Yes, it's been unbelievable. Last week was nothing but problems. I was beginning to wonder if anything at all was working right in our office. ;) Until Friday, I didn't do one thing that was on my agenda to do. It was all problems that arose and needed fixing. I hope next week runs more smoothly.

Okay, looks like I'm wearing a sling for the next couple of weeks. The hazards of unaided yard work.

Short version: Trimming a limb on a tree that was laying on the roof with pruning saw. While guiding down, to make sure it did not hit the ladder and cause a bigger accident, it twisted my arm in an odd way and dislocated my left shoulder. Hospital trip and x-rays. 4 year old son thinks it's cool.

Arm feels fine. I think they are making me wear this as a "I did something stupid, ask me how..." badge.

Ouch. I'm sure there is a perfectly legit medical reason for making you wear the sling. :P

Glad it wasn't more serious.

I lost a good friend on September 11th, cruelly taken away from us at such a young age, his lifeforce extinguished by the actions of a greater evil force...

Anyways...it's his wedding anniversary today so i better go buy him a card!!!

Oh crap! I've got to do that exact same thing with tree limbs on my roof soon..... I'll have to say, and don't take this the wrong way please, but I see many more men coming into the E.R. with injuries from stupid things than I do women. Just sayin'.

Hope your arm heals up fast Swidden. Follow those doctor's orders,,,,,

Why is it that some people you would just love to use a choke-hold on them?? A big city care center/assisted living place says that they do not have any sort of inventory/record of belongings that a resident brings in with them.

I've been to many care centers/assisted living/alzheimer's places that insist on doing an inventory/making a list of their residents belongings to protect them fro lawsuits and to help with any problems like theft or loss. So I guess either the big city place has absolutly no theft/loss of belingings or they just don't give a rat's arse about their residents and only want their money  :pullhair:

That is terrible CO, there should have been a "patient belongings form" on the intake record in the assisted living place. I believe that is the law in most states. You need to file an official complaint with the agency that accredit's that assisted living place.....

Yeah. There is some missing furniture and all we're getting is the run-around and it seems those involved are passing the buck and saying, "It's not our fault, ask the other guy" :: sigh :: Really getting frustrating.

*Edited to add* One thing I have learned from all of this, update your will! ;)

That doesn't sound very promising unfortunately. Hopefully it will turn up in time... and no one helped themselves to it for personal use.

Another "great" day at work today. Our phone system appliance bit the dust late Friday and was down all weekend. That brought all our phone and fax lines down. We have systems in place that automatically generate and send out followup faxes and then they update our database to indicate the followups were made. So, this morning, I came into not only the dead phone system, but also almost 2,000 faxes that never went out and were marked failed. So the appliance had to be swapped out, the fax data had to be regenerated, and the database entries had to be corrected. It took until about 3:30 this afternoon to get it all back to normal. :(
