I finally had my tooth pulled today! I've got my happy pills ready for when I stop having numb tongue (and jaw). 2 cents for those who get the numb tongue reference! :D

Its kind of weird seeing what your tooth looks like "underneath".
Kirk in Star Trek 2009 movie. :)

Glad you finally took care of your tooth.

I bet you're glad to have that done with! And you'll be happier still when it's all healed. Glad to hear you're on the mend! :)

Numb tongue... I've been meaning to watch that again.

Hey guys! School starts in 8 days... I'm mildly excited. :P
Have you got your books and photo taken for the yearbook yet?

They usually do that a week or two before school starts here in the US.

Today was the little guy's first day of Pre-K. As I expected he really had no problem with it at all. His mom, on the other hand, was definitely "feeling it".

Luckily we had sub in the form of our youngest nephew to keep her occupied. He starts next year. Although, I thought it was amusing that when his mom dropped him off this morning she was taking the opportunity to enlighten him that completing potty training would mean he would be ready to go to school like the rest of the kids.

He can be a fairly headstrong, stubborn little fella. He will use the "facilities" at home and his grandmothers, but that is about it.

We buy them ourselves at the beginning of the year after they tell us which ones we need. They give them out to students from 1-4th grade, but in the higher grades we buy them ourselves. :)

I forget if you said so, but is this a public (government funded) or private school (tuition based)?

I attended public grade schools and we never had to pay for our text books. Public schools are funded through tax payer funds...sometimes through private donations.

The public schools are also suppose to be funded with Lottery money - - but I don't see where that is actually happening.

Ahh yes, I forgot about the lotteries too. I don't see any evidence that the lottery money is getting to the schools either.
