IE! What's shakin? :D
Way too much! :D It's been busy, busy, busy at work this week. It's like everyone got "bright ideas" at the same time this week and they're all flooding to the IS department to see if their ideas can be implemented. That and a few projects that were already going on that suddenly got more active than usual too.
Bright ideas maybe not so bright? :D
Some are, some aren't. :D

My dog has this funny habit. She sits on the floor and then pulls herself forward with her front 2 paws dragging her butt across the floor. I figure she's either scratching an itch or using our carpet for toilet paper. Whatever her reason, she does sometimes leave skid marks. It's funny to watch her do this though. Anyone else have a pet with this behavior?
Every dog I have ever had has done this. One of the family dogs ran up in front of me just two days ago, looked at me, turned sideways and then pulled her butt across the carpet. She then stopped, stuck her tongue out and did the doggie pant/"smile". :loling:

In this case, she wanted to go outside and use the bathroom. She was letting me know she was tired of holding it in.

Sometimes though, it is for the two reasons you mentioned.
I've never seen this before so it's interesting that it's a common behavior. I don't have a lot of experience around dogs though. I had a St. Bernard as a child and I don't remember her doing that. But I was pretty young when she died so maybe she did and I just don't remember. Otherwise, I've only had brief encounters with dogs belonging to other people.

Speaking of the doggie pant/"smile", there was one time I had said something funny and right at the appropriate timing, my dog's mouth dropped open in that "smile" (no panting in that one) and I just :rotfl: because it really appeared she was laughing at my joke!

Friends,

I feel I need to sort something out, so I'm going away, and I don't know if I'll see you again.

At least not soon.

I need to sort out where my life is heading.

Besides, I think everyone needs a break from my and my non-stop posting anyway,

Thats it for now.

**Nimor I've sent you a PM from MCP

STF,

We certainly understand and wish you the best. It's good to take a break sometimes and gain perspective. I think everyone here would agree we don't need a break from you. You've been nothing but a joy to have here and look forward to your return.

Good luck and we'll leave the light on for you.

Lately the "Iron Man" movies have been big at our house with my son (though "Transformers" may be taking its place next, more on that later, elsewhere). This, in itself, really isn't news. The interesting thing is when we set certain goals for the little guy he gets a reward, sometimes in the form of a new toy.

Recently he had a choice of a new action figure. At first he was set on Captain America. However, just as we were set to go pay for it he looked up and saw a Black Widow figure, prominent in "Iron Man 2", and just had to go for that. Long story short, I think my four year old might have something of a crush her as portrayed Scarlett Johanson.

STF, I wish you good luck in all you need to sort out. Know that you'll be missed here and were never considered a nuisance or anything like that.

Wish to see you again. ^_^

It doesn't take much to entertain a cat. I just tossed a piece of Salt Water Taffy (in its wrapper) on my bed and my cat has been going crazy over it for ten minutes.

He's tossing it up and down, running around and over the bed... jumping back on the bed to toss it and attack it. Its pretty funny. :D

All of the themes here were designed in Internet Explorer except for the last two that I made. I still went back and double checked compatibility. With IE8, you can click your "Compatibility View" button to the right of the address bar and that will solve some remaining problems when browsing KOT or any other site on ZetaBoards/the internet.

Unless you are using an older version of Internet Explorer? That could cause some problems. ZetaBoards has never been all that compatible with older versions of IE. There were issues that not even ZetaBoards Support could solve.

I use FireFox normally and almost never have any problems on any website now (including here and on other boards in the ZetaBoards network).

I was talking actually about the Trekky theme. I created that in Chrome. :P I'm on it know - the background of my avatar nicely blends in on it. :)

I see what you are talking about now after a little experimentation.* I must have checked that theme in Compatibility View when I looked at it in IE8 before installing it here making it so that the errors didn't display for me.

I actually know how to fix those issues. I haven't had to deal with them for a long time though because they were known IE fixes that I incorporated into my early themes and made sure to use the most updated ZetaBoards basic theme that already contained those fixes. I still see those issues on some older themes. Part of the problem was that the ZetaBoard Original theme on newly registered ZetaBoards did not receive this update for a long time. People were using the basic ZO theme to create new themes without these fixes. I have no idea when or if they issued a network wide ZO theme update for newly created boards. Those already with boards would still need to go over to their documentation Wiki and get the most updated ZO. Anyway...

*Extra space in replies and extended taglines under the avatars... and probably some other things.

I will scrounge around today to find all of the CSS alterations I need to make.

^^

Edit: All of the documentation that outlined the specific IE Bug fixes is no longer active. Nicola created documentation showing the updates, but the links are no longer working. She did this several years ago.

I checked through some old support ticket conversations with Nicola and she actually recommended that I just start from scratch and restyle the theme I was working on with the updated ZB CSS because of all of the fixes it contained (which is what I did). She later went in and detailed the changes for everyone, so people wouldn't have to redo all of their themes. That is the documentation that is no longer available.

Sooo, at this point I am going to recommend that the Theme be totally restyled with the most up to date ZO CSS HERE. I can eventually restyle the one here, but I just don't have the creative time right now. I'm working on something else and if I deviate from it, I may end up procrastinating and having to do a rush job a few months from now.

Don't worry about it, it was just a random comment. I'm on Chrome now, so it isn't a problem. :)
