Now my feet are starting to hurt. And that is after 26 hours of standing, I can't imagine how my feet would feel if I had made it all 56 hours!
Why on earth were you standing for 26 hours? :jawdrop:

I was trying to win a hot tub and I made it to about 26 hours ;) Last years winner stood for about 77 hours, but this years winner only had to make it to about 56 hours
Wow, that's a lot of standing even if you didn't win! I find standing in one place for a long time to be more tiring than just about anything else. Were you allowed to walk around at all or did you literally have to stand in one place?

Earlier this week my nephew's Little League team won the Minors/AAA (The Giants) championship for their league. Today was their first Tournament of Champions game for their region. They won 10-2 against another team with the same name.
Hey, that's great! Congrats to your nephew and his team! :) I hope they go on to win the regional championship!

Yeah I see an occasional ad with FF and Adblock too. I think that's partly why I forgot that some were being hidden and why it was so surprising when I used IE.

I recently learned my lesson the hard way about IE though. (If I already mentioned this here before, sorry - I can't remember if I did.) I was simply browsing for information about a telephone system error that we were experiencing at work a few weeks ago and I went to a page that was all text, no pictures, and somehow I picked up a virus. I can usually tell when I hit viruses/spyware/malware and I can usually minimize the amount of damage it does, but this time I had no clue. There were no signs until it had killed my system. I ended up having to wipe my hard drive and reinstall the whole thing. I normally browse with FF, but that day I was in IE for some reason. The one time I used it again and I got one of the worst viruses I've ever had!
Rotten luck that was. :(

Were you on a computer at work searching, or was this on your home computer?

It was at work. As much of a pain as it was having to rebuild the computer unplanned, the computer needed it anyway. It was inexplicably slow for quite awhile and I was suspicious about whether it might have some spyware that was not being detected by any programs. It's quite a bit faster now that I rebuilt it so at least I got that benefit. :)

At least it turned out good in the end. I've had quite a few viruses on my various computers over the years. Some cases worse than others. What I find annoying is when the malware/virus detection software can't find the virus.

Hi STF. Did it have anything to do with school? School could be horrid at times.

I think this calls for a cookie. ;)

I agree, that is a pain when the programs can't find the spyware/malware/virus. Fortunately, being an IT guy, I can usually find and clean it anyway. What's even more frustrating for me, is when I can't and then I have to resort to reinstalling the computer like in this last case. I had found and cleaned plenty, but the computer was running even much slower than it had been already so I knew something still wasn't right.

Nope, my family are very crazy! I'll give you an idea:

My grandad commited suicide, my grandmother eat cat food, she divorced her husband, he also eats cat food, and yes, sadly they aren't clinicly insane.
All my uncles suffer from depression, one ran away around 10 years ago, never to be seen again.
Another has recently changed his phone number/mobile/email, so he refuses to talk to the few of us that are sane.
My aunts.......well, lets just not go there!! :P
And thats just one side of the family!!!
The other theres only 2 people left alive because most of them have died of cancer! except my grandmother and her brother, and they are well into their 80's.

So yeah 24 I'm feeling your pain!! :) :pullhair:

Last night was weird. We had a big rain storm. After it stopped, I took my dog out for a walk hoping it wouldn't start again. It didn't, but there was heat lightning flashing with literally never even as much as 5 seconds between flashes for the whole 15 or so minutes we were out. I'm not kidding, "never" is not an exaggeration. There was a constant low rumble in the distance which would have been thunder bursts ordinarily, but there was no break in the rumble because the break between flashes was only about 2 or 3 seconds. It was kind of eerie like something out of a science fiction movie. Close Encounters of the Third Kind came to mind.

I'm debating on whether I should play basketball next year. AGHHHHH why is it such a hard decision???? I know I would be disappointing a lot of people. BUT I'M NOT VERY GOOD! I just wish I could focus on track right now. BUT PRACTICES ARE ALREADY STARTING! Maybe I should wait and play next year........ BUT ITS MY FIRST YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL BALL! IF I DON'T PLAY THIS YEAR, THEN I MIGHT BE SO OUT OF PRACTICE NEXT YEAR THAT IT WON'T MATTER!

But the real reason is.......... I just don't enjoy playing anymore. I enjoy running so much more.

Aggggghhhhh. I hate making decisions.
