You are very brave. Camping would be a nightmare to me.

I've camped a few times over the years. Its fun if you have basic amenities.

If I had to rough it... (only a blanket, a lighter, water bottle...LOL), then I wouldn't be so happy.

Camping with little to no amenities can be a lot of fun. granted by the time you get home you look and, possibly, smell a little funky...

I was put off camping for life when I heard the story of my neighbour. When she was a Guide leader she went camping and on one particularly warm night they'd decided to sleep with out tents.

She woke up feeling rather warm in the small hours of the morning to find a smelly sheep had snuggled down next to her for a snooze.

That's kind of cute. I probably wouldn't freak it being a sheep. Now if it was a bear... :run:

A sheep is nothing. We were all in tents, but one friends dad didn't zip theirs all the way. He woke up in the wee hours of the morning with a raccoon sitting on his chest picking crumbs out of his beard! :jawdrop: :scared: :loling:

I bet that guy made sure not to fall asleep with his tent open or with crumbs in his beard after that. ;)

Raccoons are cute, but nasty animals. Long dirty claws...carriers of rabies.

It got a little nippy again last night, but it has been so warm here during the days. I wouldn't be surprised if Spring arrives early this year.

We may get snow in our area this weekend. Cold storm moving through. Doesn't happen often, but the surrounding hills could get a dusting.

It's not often that we get snow levels down to (or lower than) 100 ft above sea level. Especially this late in the winter season. Might be nice though, that way we can take the little guy to play in it...

Is there anything nicer to eat then freshly made lasagne? YES! Reheated lasagne!

I love lasagna. I went on a healthy Vegan diet earlier this month to cleanse my system, so it would have to be Vegan if I ate some right now.

I will reintegrate some meat products back into my diet eventually. But not to the extent that I was eating before. In general, I'm just trying to eat healthier, exercise more and hopefully lose some weight.

The shocking thing about not being able to eat stuff with animal byproducts is finding out how many of our regular food items contain meat, dairy or egg in it.

I'm a vegetarian but I've noticed that too. Gelatine is a particular struggle.

I'm a big fan of jello. I haven't found a safe jello to eat unfortunately. That could potentially be a great low calorie snack other wise. That might be one of the things I end up eating again.

No offense ladies, but there is just no way I could ever go a vegetarian/vegan route. Nor could I ever go lactose free or gluten free. If I did any of those I would miss too many of my favorite foods.

^^ Believe me, it has not been easy. Its been a major life change. I had to do something drastic so that I would alter my way of thinking about the foods I was eating. Its actually been a freeing experience learning about different ways to prepare foods. I was definitely in a food rut cooking the same kinds of foods all the time.

I won't eat vegetarian forever, but I will do my best to maintain as many of those healthy aspects of it as possible.

I've already lost weight as a result. :happyclap:

Congratulations 24, I'm glad your diet is making you feel better.

I did a bit of googling and I found this article. If you scroll down there is a section on jelly. I don't know how close you are to any of the shops mentioned though.

Act now for animals page
