That's good to hear. It must be a nice feeling not be caught in the last minute crunch. :)
Yep. :yippee:

Okay. Should I make extra for your wife too just in case she sees you eating them and has another major snack attack? ;)

Its snowing, its snowing! :dancingcow: :thorcold:

Okay, just a few flakes right now, but we are supposed to get more later and possibly tomorrow. :flake: :flake:

Hopefully the roads will be okay for a while today. :redcar:

Edit: Well that was a bummer. A few flakes turned into rain, more rain and a bunch more rain. :drumfingers:

24, from the sounds of things on the news, you may wish to count yourself lucky that you got more rain than snow.

24, you were hoping for more snow? :o ;) The only reason I would want to see snow is for my daughter who has never seen any. After that, I couldn't care less if I never see it again. :no2:

We were at Disney's Magic Kingdom on Saturday for my daughter's birthday. Her birthday was actually back in November, but we postponed going to Disney due to the tendonitis she had in her foot. So Saturday was the first opportunity we have had since her foot has been well enough to do all that walking, but it was the wrong day to go. At about 3:00pm, we were told there were over 60,000 people there! We were told that was the most people they had in 18 months. It was worse than walking through a shopping mall at Christmas time. It was wall to wall people and you could hardly move. Lines for the rides last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Lines for food took a long time as well. They even ran out of parking spaces and had cars parking on the grass. And, to top it off, the ferry boat that takes you between the parking area and the park itself was not operating when it was time to leave. So we had to wait in yet another line to get on the monorail.

My daughter also brought a friend who turned out not to be so well behaved. She kept climbing on everything. We had to keep telling her to get down or stop something else she was doing literally every 5 or 10 minutes. It made those long lines seem twice as long. By the time we left the park that night, I was about as tired as if I had been there for 3 days. Never again will I go at this time of year! :no2:  :no2:

Yep, it looks like a lot of areas on the East coast got blanketed. It was the weekend though, so I wouldn't have minded getting some snow.

Wow! I would have been climbing the walls in such a scenario. The crowds, the lines…your daughter’s friend acting alike a monkey. :pullhair:

Did your daughter have any fun?

Its been a long time since I last went to Disney World (about 18 years ago). I think I enjoyed Epcot much more because I got to go to all of those different countries in one place. It was Disney-fied, but it was still fun. :D

Big snow storm hit the north east this weekend; there were reports of 28 inches in my area and while I didn’t break out my ruler their where drifts on my deck almost as tall as me. The Town fell down on the job taking way too long to clear the roads; and my particular road, ending in a cul-de-sac, has yet to be cleared to my satisfaction.

My body sure hurts for shoveling; my wife is ready to move to California; and I made an igloo in my back yard, so one out of three ant bad

We'll probably visit my parents in Massachusetts or my brother-in-law in Ohio during the winter one of these years so she can see snow. I have only seen snow once in Florida in the 18 years I have lived here so I'm not placing any money on that freak snow storm. :D

She did and she held up surprisingly well through all of that. Actually neither her or her friend complained much (the friend just couldn't stay still). I think it helped that they had each other. They especially enjoyed a parade that we watched and a "Big Thunder Mountain" ride which is like a medium-sized roller coaster that looked like a train.

I like Epcot best too. We've concentrated on Magic Kingdom so far because my daughter will outgrow it soon. So then we will go to Epcot. In fact, we have an option to add 2 more days to our tickets for about half the price of the 1 day we already paid and we will have until June 19th to use the 2 days. If we decide to do that, we will probably go to Epcot and Animal Kingdom. None of us have seen Animal Kingdom at all yet. We have to decide within 14 days though and have to return to the Magic Kingdom ticket counter if we do it. It's a good deal, but we've been spending a lot of money lately so we decided to think it through first.

I think they throw a parade every day. Disney World is a massive undertaking.

That's understandable.

I've always wanted to see Animal Kingdom too.
