GMel,

It was about -8 today when I got up. When I got to town (where it is generally a bit warmer), it was -2.

What a day, what a day! It all started yesterday when a program update that I was installing throughout our office didn't go so well and I had to abort the installation. However, the changes in the program update were really needed ASAP so I spent my whole day going through the program to ensure that it would be ready for tonight. I did get it ready and the update went much better. :)

That was the good news. The bad news is that the problems I encountered last night mean that several other programs that were being modified in the same way also need to be corrected before I can distribute them.

Without getting into all the details, the update simply required changing many -1's to 1's throughout the program. But the catch was to change only certain ones and not others. The problem I encountered was because some -1's that were supposed to stay -1's had been changed. I'll probably be doing the corrections for the next 4 or 5 days. :(

Well, with that, I'm off in search of some zzzz's. What am I doing still up at 2am anyway...?

That sounds like a bear of a day. Here’s hoping this one is a lot better.

Oh, and you will have more time to spend with us… the important things in life. ;)

-34C wind chill this morning, and schools are still open...

I hate this place. If I didn't have to work, I would keep my daughter home today. It's too cold to be waiting outside for a bus. 3 years ago, they were canceling classes left and right for this type of weather... :realmad:

Cold indeed. You probably had to wrap your kid up like an Eskimo to go to school.

Very important indeed!

I'm taking a break from those 1 and -1's at the moment. At least these other programs aren't on the same rush schedule as that first one.

Yep, and it's noon, and it's getting colder... -35C now. *sigh*, I have to leave for "el trabajo" soon...

One good thing about using taxis as a means of transport, the car is already toasty warm when it comes to your house. :)

I'm thinking you and Mel should get together and discuss your favorite numbers. :rotfl:

Next year, I'll have to search this thread for that message. Not sure if I'll actually learn binary, but I'm hoping so. :)

If not I'll try to learn it on my own. :sgrings:

If you do learn binary and relocate this thread, you'll find it says nothing and was just a joke.  Without a program to do it for you, it's too much work to convert text to binary. So I didn't bother doing so for real. :D

(And if it really does translate to anything, it would only be about 8 letters.)

Hi! :)

You know, if GMel learns what IE wrote, we may be able to use that eight-letter word over in the KOT 7-letter word game. LOL. ;)

Isabel,

Serious question. Has Swidden been to this Board yet? I'm not trying to be funny. I'm honestly not sure, as he is on another Board that I have frequented recently (not SisterTrek).
