Actually, they did. I just had my annual review last week. With the rotton economy, I really wasn't expecting a raise at all, so even a small one is a plus in my eyes.
That's great. Congratulations!

A raise in this economy is a very good thing Tribblemom. Congratulations! Sometimes working with turkeys isn't all that bad.

I don't know how things are where you all live but southwestern PA isn't doing too well. Just in my little hometown, our mall is slowly dying. Today, I was at Macy's liquidation sale. After looking at furniture at Macy's, I went to Circuit City where everything is up to 60% off. Not to mention all the other stores that have upped and left our area.

Oh yeah, I spent about an hour today looking for my glasses. They were on top of my head.

Its always sad to see small towns slowly dieing out. Fortunately, the general area that I live in has been steadily growing and developing for the last decade. There has especially been a major boom in the last few years.

Times are still tough for people, but the economy is at least still moving. This is mainly due to being in an in between area of NC/SC. People have been migrating to SC as the population increases in the nearest big cities in NC.

Rain or snow ... we could use some in my neck of the woods. It's been very dry here & we've only gotten about half the snowfall that we're suposed to by this time of year. When the wind kicked up last week, I thought we were in the Dustbowl days again.

I just read that Birmingham Alabama got hit with 4 inches of snow and that the Northeast is supposed to brace itself for a big snowstorm this evening.

The rain finally turned to snow about two hours ago. I'd say a technical inch has already fallen, but I see almost two inches in some spots.

Looking at the weather today, part of the South/Southeast/Mid-Atlantic/Northern areas are almost all getting some amount of snow. You will probably get twice as much snow as me, Intrepid.

Not sure what the weather is supposed to be like out your way. We could do a little snow dance for you if you want, TribbleMom. :wow:

We ended up with five inches of snow in total in my area. :D

My puppy LOVES the snow. He is running around real fast. Bouncing back and forward. Eating the snow. He's funny. :dog:

21 inches! Geeze! I guess y'all are used to that though and your roads probably get cleared off pretty fast.

Local schools were cancelled. I didn't get on the roads until close to lunchtime. The roads had been cleared off by then. A few slushy spots here and there. I was still very careful driving. With all of the melting snow and freezing temps., ice will probably be more of a problem tomorrow.

Geez, send some of that snow west!
Believe it or not, we've had 3 days in a row now that were in the 70's. I even got into a pair of shorts for my 3-mile walk after work, just so I could get some sun on my legs. I've never worn shorts outside in March before.
The forecasters claim that we might get a little snow Friday/Saturday and maybe again on Monday. But I'm not holding my breath.

We here in Pittsburgh missed that big snow. I'm currently enjoying 50 degree weather.
I don't know what to do with myself.

We really didn't get a lot of snow this season, but we sure got a lot of ice.

Enjoy the 70 degree weather Tribblemom. Sheesh, I've forgotten what that's like anymore.

Its going to be a high of 70° today, 77° Saturday and 78° Sunday! :D

The weather tends to go from one end to another this time of the year. By June, it will stay warm/hot.
