^^^ I can't pretend to know why a woman like that would want to marry a man like that. It aggravates me just reading about it. LOL. Was the groom much older than the bride? |

No, they were about the same age. Had been together since college. Married him anyway. She's in denial though. It will hit home to her later on when he is telling her how to cut up her own food. He better hope she's not still holding the knife when she flips.

Sounds like she may be having some codependency issues. I struggled a bit with that myself in my younger years until I realized how unhealthy it was for me and I was better off alone than with a very controlling person who wanted to dictate who my friends could be. |

Unfortunately, some people never get past that. I hope this woman eventually does before she totally forgets how to live her own life. Intrepid, how are things going with your dad? |

Thanks for asking Tribblemom. I can't say he's out of the woods yet. This last stroke has really taken a toll on him but I must say he's doing better. He still has a seizure now and then which really worries me. Thank goodness there was no permanent damage. Unfortunately his spirits are low right now and his body is slower to heal maybe because of that. Until we get his seizures under control, it will be touch and go for a while. Keep those positive thoughts coming our way. |

Hey everybody! How is everyone? Things are good here in jolly old England. Tea and crumpets are readily available and ooh i'm loving it. (That probably made no sense to any of you. If it did, please explain it to me! lol) Got four new wheels for my car the other day. Cost me almost Ł1000 but it was worth. I love them! OOH! |

Hey Big Boss! Good to see you! ![]() That sounds like a lot of money for four tires. That would be at least $2,796.92 here in he US. If you found a good sale, you could probably get a set of tires for $500 or $600 (sometimes cheaper than that). No more than $1,000 for the higher end tires. That's if they aren't specialty or truck tires. What are those tires made of? You should post a picture of your car/tires. As I'm not sure what you are driving these days.

Hey, y'all. You know how just a couple of weeks ago I was complaining about the 100-degree heat wave we were having? Well, a cold front pushed in from the north, bringing much-needed rain, and temps in only the upper 50's for a couple of days! (Over the weekend, of course), The mountains above 10,000 feet actually experienced SNOWFALL in mid-August. Whacky! This coming week, we're supposed to get back to the upper 80's again, maybe some 90's. Big Boss, those must be some really great tires! |

Snow already? ![]() My mind has started to shift towards Autumn already. Its still hot outside, but every once in a while lately I get a sense of a change in the weather. Its coming. ![]() We had a heavy thunderstorm all night last night. I think we are due for more rain tonight. |

We're looking at a tropical storm heading our way. Hopefully it won't get any stronger than that and become a hurricane. Just the same, water cleared off the store shelves this weekend. We were looking for water because we needed it and not because of the storm, but we were lucky to find any. |

I heard about the storm on the news last night. I was going to ask you if it was supposed to come in your direction. Hopefully it won't mean more than getting some rain for you guys. Did you check the milk and bread section? That always goes fast too. ![]() Not like you can keep milk fresh long though if your power goes out. |

The snow has stuck to the higher elevations even into today (I could see white coating the peaks on the skyline), though temps in Denver have reached about 80 again. By Thursday, we'll be at 90. Interesting weather. IE, our weather report here shows nearly all the state of Florida getting hit pretty solidly by the hurricane. We'll keep our fingeres crossed for you. |

Well, I can't wait to see some of your snowy outdoor pics TribbleMom!
Sure enough. Hopefully it won't knock his power out. Lack of power and water can be two of the most troublesome things when a big storm comes. |

^^^ Yeah, I really should have found a vantage point from somewhere in town and taken some shots of the peaks to the west, all blanketed in white in mid-August, but I just haven't gotten around to that yet. My bad. |

![]() I have to house sit for my brother and his wife this weekend while they go to the beach. They have a whole bunch of animals (dogs, cats). I think there is a stray cat that they have been feeding that recently had kittens near their home that they can't catch too (she's feral).
