Today was my daughter's last day of Kindergarten. I can't believe she is already going to start grade school. She's growing up too fast!

She had an excellent teacher this year. I hope her first grade teacher will be as good. :)
Awee, that's nice.

What is she going to do this summer to keep busy?

24,

My daughter's old daycare takes school-aged children during the summer and they go on a lot of field trips. She will do that for part of the summer. Since she's an only child, we didn't want her spending too much time by herself with Mom at home (who, as a teacher herself, also has the summer off) and not getting any peer socialization. The other part of the time, she will spend time with Mom. She will also continue her dancing. Related to that, she's auditioning for a part in "The Little Mermaid" which her dance studio is doing (they do musical theater during the summer).

Intrepid,

Teach her Gladiatus? :rotfl: Somehow I don't think I could since, when I'm playing, I often hear "Daddy's playing that stupid game again". It seems she feels a little attention deprived. She isn't though. I make sure she gets plenty of quality time from me (you know, in between battles - I mean  - just kidding! )

Sounds good.

I hear (read) occasionally about school districts wanting to do away with summer breaks all together. I think I could support shorter summer breaks for high school students (even though I probably would have hated it  ), but young kids should get the full summer off IMO. No need to burn them out at such a young age. Most parents arrange for summer activities to keep their children engaged anyway (such as you have).

Is it getting hot where you all are at yet?

Today was the first time we hit the 90F mark.

Horribly hot and humid. In the upper 90s for a couple of weeks now. It is supposed to get up to 102 degrees tomorrow. Not usually quite that hot this time of the year. Those are more July temperatures.

Rumor has it that P. Diddy is changing his name back to Puff Daddy.

I'm thinking about changing my name to 25thcenstfan.

Edit: False alarm. P. Diddy is not changing his name.

I have also decided to stick with 24thcenstfan too.

Hope you can kick that before it gets too bad. Echinacea tea can't hurt anything. :nurse:

Too late.

Its worse today. I'm going to start taking Dayquil now. I was taking another medication, but I think it was only suppressing the problem instead of clearing it up.

How much gold did that cost?

You can't get sick on us 24. Gladiators never get sick.

60s? In June? We are in full swing now for hot summer temperatures 80s/90s/100s. We have had evening thunder showers for the past few days that has cooled things down a tad thankfully. Not by much though.
