We'll keep our fingers crossed that everything is installed properly.  I won't tell you the nightmare story about one of my relatives who had a new system installed by two less than professional AC individuals. :rotfl: :bolt:

Oh noooo.... :D

So which one of you is that in your new avatar?

I'm not in the avatar because I'm the one in front. I left those three in the dust. ;)

Oh, my goodness ... what a week I've missed here. I'll bet IE is glad this week is over. :whew: Sorry for all the bad luck it seems is hitting you just lately. Seems to come in waves, doesn't it?

Hi again everyone. :wave2: That darned "real life" kind of got in the way again and prevented my visiting these boards for a while.

Intrepid, is your room painting priject done now?

IE,

Google has been running an ad for that game. Is that how you found the site?

Also, at what point in your life did you want to become a gladiator? :wow: ;)

You ever do something stupid like drop a roll of TP in the toilet? I was putting towels up in the cabinet in my bathroom and the top towel slid off the stack in my hands and right into the toilet. It quickly soaked up the water in the bowl.

The ad was running here one time that I came yesterday. It got my curiosity up so I clicked it. :D I've wanted to be a gladiator just since then.

It's actually a pretty boring game because you have to keep engaging in activities (expeditions and battles) where you have to wait for a counter to count down 10, 20, or 30 minutes before you know what happened. Meanwhile, you just wait. At higher levels, you battle against other players in the arena. I haven't reached that yet, but I'm hoping those battles are more interactive. Even though it's boring, I've been addicted ever since. It would be nice though if they gave an instruction page somewhere. They refer you to their FAQ, but that's limited.

By the way, I just changed my message. Then I noticed you had clicked my old one. Thanks for clicking. It gave me some honor in the game. (Sorry about that too! )

Yes, I have done exactly that. Only in my case, it just slipped out of my hand. You can't exactly just flush it either...

Oh Tribblemom...

The room is half white and half blue. It's been like uh like that for a while now. I've decided not to stress and just close the door to that room all the time. It gets done when it gets done.

Nothing too spectacular.

I just pulled the towel out of the toilet and put it in the sink to let it drip dry. I eventually took it to the laundry room to wash later on.

I just watched “The Da Vinci Code” with Tom Hanks. Pretty decent movie. Much better than the book. I was always hesitant to watch the movie because the book lagged so much. In the book, many of the characters came across as two dimensional. Langdon was almost a blank slate. Not as much so in the movie.

The critics said Hanks was lackluster in his portrayal of Langdon. I have seen him in better roles, but he was still okay in the movie I thought.

You know, some people do that on purpose and call it an accent color in an otherwise white room.

TribbleMom's in the HOUSEEE!

How is life treating you these days? :D

Life's been kind of crazy, mostly work-related. When we moved to our new building, I think only the people in the offices benefited. The rest of us "grunts" who actually work with the merchandise seem to be more crammed in than ever before.
And we got a new phone system, so our computers are actually hooked into our phones, which are connected to Ethernet networking, which seems to have only slowed down all the programs I use throughout the day. :pullhair: :throwcomp: Not to mention that when you try to put the telephone on speaker, everything sounds like you're underwater now. I think someone still has a few bugs to work out of this system. Nor do I even have voicemail set up yet. (Only been waiting on that for 2 weeks). :banghead: And one person in my department left for another job; he actually gave a month's notice, but my boss tells me it will still be about 2 more weeks before someone will replace him ... and of course I get to conduct the training.

Meanwhile, the youngest grandson turned 6 this past week and had been begging for a skateboard. His parents got him one; we got him a helmet and pads.

The weather's been the typical wacky "springtime in the Rockies" stuff that we all love here ... Thursday we had several inches of snow, and today was sunny and warm enough that people were taking boats and jet skis out on the area reservoirs. I've been feeling the cabin fever bug too ... I spent yesterday thumbing through my trail guide books and looking for trail descriptions on the Internet. This hiking itch was exacerbated a bit on Friday when my brand new hiking boots arrived via UPS.
That's one of the biggest differences between me and most other females that I know ... they get excited over a new pair of fashionable pumps and I get excited over GoreTex hiking boots. :hiking:

It sounds like this work move has just been a nightmare. Things will hopefully smooth out for you soon. :fingers:

That sounds good. There are very few kids in my family. A few on the side of the family I'm not real close with, so I never get a chance to buy toys.

The weather has been wacky here too. It warmed up into the 70s and this week it is supposed to dip back down. I've had the both the heat and the air conditioning on this past month.

Ahh, good. Can't wait to see pictures from this summer's adventures. :D :happyclap:

And I'm sure Intrepid understands your love of shoes. Even if they are hiking boots. :rotfl:

I've never had a hardcore love for shopping or shoes. I get the bug a couple a times a year but that's about it. I have a couple of gift cards that I got this past Christmas that I am going to use soon. Actually, I need a new pair of shoes too. I hate the thought of having to go try on shoes because it takes a while to find something comfortable.

Welcome to the light my sisters. :grphug:

I actually had a pair of combat boots once and got excited over those. So you know what I have is a disease.

In times of depression, I've been known to go to Macy's and try on shoes. Just try them on and stare at my feet. No intention to buy, just try. But a pair of good shoes is no good by itself unless it has the outfit and handbag to go with it. :P

*I'm actually starting to break into a cold sweat just talking about this....* ;)

I'm luck to have three other sisters and four nieces over the age of 14. All my shoes go to a good home.

I usually wear my hiking boots down till there's not much left of the lug soles and the uppers get scuffed to kingdom come. So many trails, so little time ...
