My daughter came home with a letter from her Kindergarten yesterday. It said that something she did in her art class had been selected by the Orlando Art Museum to be displayed in their local youth art display. :woohoo: I have no idea what was selected and my daughter said she doesn't know either so we'll have to find out when we go to see it. They gave us a free family pass as well, although the display is open to the public for free anyway. :headscratch:

I find it extremely annoying when I click on a website and have to wait until a bunch of garbage loads and then get a message saying, "Click Here to continue on to So and So.com" or "Click Here to Skip the Advertisement".

I "love" the one at forbes.com too. It gives you an ad and says "click here to skip this welcome screen". Now they're calling an ad a "welcome".

Make sure you get that piece of artwork back and have it framed for your own home. My sister has collected artwork of her children throughout the years and framed them really nice and has them displayed tastefully around her house.

Congratulations on the little one's achievement.

Thanks Intrepid and 24. :)

The whole thing got even a little better last night. My wife was a chaperone on a field trip with my daughter's class yesterday. Since we don't know anything about what piece of art was selected, she took the opportunity to ask my daughter's teacher about it. Apparently, the kids were given a bunch of shapes to glue into whatever they wanted and my daughter's came out looking like a Japanese Pagoda. :D But what made the news better is the teacher said, in her seven years of teaching kindergarten there, she has never seen a kindergarten picture selected. She said it very well might be the first in the history of the school. :thud:

He's baaaack!
And he has a new trick!!
Big Boss is ten times as slick as the last time,
The last time you saw him,
Now you can see why we really adore him!

You might think his new trick is sick,
Sawing a pigeon in half with a stiiick!
Look at the pigeon, now it's in two!
Oh my it's rear end is having a poo!!

Hello my friends! Long time no see! I've been super duper busy lately and thus haven't had much time to be on the internet, although I managed a post elsewhere every now and again.

Apologies for letting KOT fall off my radar. You know I still love you all though!

Wow, that's cool! You have to post a picture once you finish putting it together.

Do you work on other models, or will this be your first one?

I used to work on model cars when I was a teenager. So it's been a while. It's certainly my first starship! :)

Well, that should be fun. Just don't accidentally paint the moniker on upside down. ;)

Mmm...food. Food is good. Its a pain when you are out of it.

What did you end up eating right away?

It has to be better than "digestive biscuits". That sounds like something you would eat to keep your bowels regular.

Mel is command of her first starship. :happydance:

I've got to stop this awful habit of swearing whenever I'm in the car. Some call it
"road rage". I just call ignoramus's (sp) ignorami (sp) when I see 'em.

We're too polite here in Western PA to honk our horns. I should live in New York or New Jersey or something.

The drivers around here aren't too polite. We have a mixed bag.

I tend to get annoyed with other drivers when they tailgate me. And as much as I would like to flip the bird occasionally ( ), I don't because of other people's road rage.
