Well let's see. Heroes at 9PM. CSI Miami at 10PM. That's my entertainment for the evening. Then I'll sit like a hockey puck until Wednesday for "Bionic Woman". How's everybody doing? |

Do we have an emoticon of a pumpkin pulling out all of its hair? That's how work is for me right now. Overtime, computer system changes, inventory discrepancies, various other mysteries that somehow no one else seems to do anything about ... Other than that, things are peachy. |

Ooooh that's a new one. I like it. So Tribblemom, What do you do if there is inventory "discrepancy"? Do you have to take the time out to find it? Do you mind if I ask what kind of inventory you manage? Anyway, take time to destress each night. I'm a "Vitamin B Complex +C" junkie myself. It helps me in times of duress. I think tonight I'll toss in my favorite TV dinner and curl up in front of the TV and watch a little TV. Can't wait for Bionic Woman to come on. 24, let me know if you know of any repeat airings of Bionic Woman on other channels. |

^^ Looks like BW will come on Wednesday at 9:00pm on NBC (regular night) and Fridays at 7:00pm on the Sci-Fi Channel. I just checked the menu guide and it is on again this Friday. Hopefully the repeat will air every Friday. |

Wow, somewhere along the line I missed that smiley. It's a good one. As for the inventory discrepancies, yes, I have to figure them out. Usually that involves researching the paper trail of which branch store transferred us what item, if we received it correctly, and what happened in the computer return file that we made. And then I submit an inventory adjustment request to the number-keepers so that we don't show things in our inventory that we don't really physically have, or show a negative amount for anything either. After this job, maybe I can become a private investigator ... I seem to be fairly good at solving mysteries. I also tend to get a lot of phone calls asking me to help someone track down a customer's item that has been sent back to the manufacturer under warranty, even when I didn't see it in the first place! Oh well, job security. I found out a bit of what I consider bad news today ... probably in January, my workplace will be moving. This will be the second warehouse move I've been though with this company. Not fun. Inevitably some of our vendors don't get the new address and keep sending their shipments of goods to our old address. And when the shipment is a customer-returned item, guess who gets to track it down? I've become good friends with the folks at UPS and FedEx. I'm also unhappy about the move because it's a little further away from home, meaning a longer commute through the worst possible traffic lanes of all in the Denver metro area. Also, after I found out where the new location would be, I looked it up on Google Earth (which gives real arial views of the addresses), and the area doesn't look very hospitable. Usually I take a walk after work to de-stress. There's a pond near my present work location which draws ducks and geese and even a blue heron, and I also get some views of the mountains to the west, so I actually enjoy making those laps around the parking lot. Looks like I'll be losing that pleasant little diversion when we move ... I'm not really sure it's wise to be walking around that area of town much. Well, we always make do with whatever life throws at us, don't we? "Life is like a box of chocolates ... you never know what you might get." |

Kind of odd that they would keep moving around. No fun either having to ship your warehouse stock to the new location. Sounds stressful. How much time do you think will be tacked onto your daily commute? |

The need to move means that we're doing more business ... we just need more room (again), so I guess that's a good thing. Expansion happened faster than anyone had anticipated. I'm going to guess I'll need another 15 minutes for my commute. I think I'll look into public transportation and see if that's a viable option. Depends on how many bus/light rail train transfers might be involved. |

^^ Ahh yes, a move for expansion is a logical reason. With the public transportation, that can end up being just as, or more time consuming than driving. I have experienced this in the past. Good Morning everyone!

*Gasp* The air conditioning is not working again in the office today. It hasn't been too bad most of the day, but for the past hour or so, it's like a furnace room and we're all literally sweating. I just hope my deodorant holds up!

Why is it that at 3AM in the morning all the infomercials are about weight loss? -Five minute daily workout. -Lose ten pounds in two weeks. -What's better the AB machine or the traditional crunch? -If I can do it, anyone can do it. Watching these infomercials are making me hungry. BRB. |

They must think the people who are up at that hour are depressed or have weight issues...making them prime targets for their paraphernalia. Most of that stuff probably doesn't work. |
