I found out this morning that Server 7 (InvisionFree) crashed the other day similarly to how Server 1 crashed.

About a months worth of posts and other data disappeared. Not as extensive as the Server 1 crash.

However, unlike with Server 1, Brandon and Co. appear to have made sufficient back ups because most people are getting their data back.

*Do a little dance, do a little dance.* Hope nothing like that happens to Server 8 (which KOT is on). I have everything backed up from the site that I store and link images from, and on my home computer. So I can reconstruct this Board. Its the loss of data from the threads that would be lost if a back up wasn't available on IF's end.

Hopefully that won't happen. *Fingers crossed*

At least they seem to have learned from the server 1 failure and got some backups in place this time. Hopefully, the same applies to server 8.

All my favorite guys.... I'm really liking the chicken though.....

I'm not worried one bit. I know KOT is in capable hands. Bring on the server crash. Have no fear. Show no doubt.

Okay, I watched "Remember the Titans" last night.

Please no, no server crash. Intrepid just got a bit over enthusiastic there oh Server God. :P

I haven't seen Remember the Titans. That's the one with Denzel Washington, right?

 You don't realize how much faith we have in you. Yes, yes. Remember the Titans starring Denzel Washington and Will Patton. Great soundtrack. It's one of those feel good movies I never get tired of watching.

That's why I love watching sports movies even though I am not a major sports fanatic. Most are feel good.

That "feel good" qaulity allows me to enjoy movies from many genres. Even though I am not necessarily the target audience.

We do have a lot of faith in 24's great abilities, but always remember, Intrepid, to be careful what you wish for ... you just might get it. I've found that the Universe has a sick sense of humor and frequently gives you what you wish for in unforeseen ways. For instance, I have an unmarried 35-yr-old co-worker who was always saying that he wanted to marry and have children. Came to find out that he actually already did have a child from a high school romance, but he never knew about it until just recently. Apparently he got his wish to have children in a somewhat twisted manner.

Was he happy to learn that he had a child?

Yeah, I wonder how he dealt with that one. So you say he's around 35ish (Intrepid counts on her fingers and toes how old she is...... Can I borrow someone's toes? Not enough here....) My Ma would call that karma. OY!
Keep us updated on that one Tribblemom. I can't even imagine what he's going through. I hope he's happy.

Gotta run... I'll check in later.....

Hello everyone!

Well today was kind of a stinker for me. How about for y'all?

And if I drop this spoon one more time!... :frust:

It might help if I weren't trying to eat ice cream and type at the same time. :rotfl:

Well, he went through an adjustment period after learning that news ... shock, amazement, anger that he had nver been told, etc. It was the daughter who expressed interest inmeeting her biological father, so the mom first made contact again with him to explain the situation. He eventually met the daughter (who is now starting college!) and found her to be a pleasant and intelligent young woman. They both mutually decided to keep in touch and have spent some bits of time together. The end result was quite positive. My co-worker is still dealing with the feelings of having missed so much of her life, although he's happy to know her now.

I think I would be a bit disoriented too with my feelings if I found out I had fathered a child and that information was withheld for a long period of time (if I were a man).

I keep a stash of sugar-free chocolate in my desk at work, strictly for medicinal purposes. Otherwise, I'd have to start killing people. :bat:

Sugar-free chocolate is no fun. :( Definitely health conscious though.

I'm a milk chocolate fan myself.

The bitter dark chocolate is definitely an acquired taste. There are some truffles that taste good to me with dark chocolate though.

Every time I watch a rerun episode of Murder, She Wrote I recognize actors and actresses from other shows/series/movies that I have watched over the years.

I suspect that most actors/actresses of a certain age (35+) appeared on an episode of Murder, She Wrote at some point during their career.
