Well my bags are packed and I'm ready to go. I feel a song coming. I'm leaving in a minivan... Don't know when I'll be back again.... Oh babe I hate to go.... Second thoughts? Well maybe one. I have the minivan. It's packed. The folder with mapquest directions are already in the front seat of the car and the eldest niece who is riding shotgun will be my navigator. The kids are now in my living room playing guitar hero. They will be spending the night at my house. I made sure every single one of them are dressed in the clothes that they're going to travel in. At precisely 4AM in the morning, I will blow my bugle and have them running to the minivan *chop chop* and they can sleep all the way to the Jersey shore. Yeah right.I have a feeling I'll be getting a lot of And I'll be for help. The might be a little stressful and I'm sure I'll get a lot of stops and maybe a few but it'll all be good.I also conned my sisters into giving me a little spending money. If I'm not back by Monday... send the Pennsylvania State Troopers..... Have a good weekend everybody.

Good luck, Intrepid. We had the eldest grandson's birthday party today ... 14 kids plus parents. Thankfully the weather was quite warm and the swimming pool kept most everyone happy all afternoon. But I'm still tuckered. Amazing how the high energy level of kids can sap me of mine. 24, I like this new look for the board. A bit more into the blue end of the purple spectrum. Pretty soothing, actually. I missed Flash Gordon last evening. Some of the folks from work twisted my arm into going out for a beer after work. It sounded too good to pass up. 24, watch out for that caffeine!

Hey!
Sounds like the birthday went well. Blue is my favorite color, so this current color scheme is more inline with my personal color tastes. I am trying to find "the look" for this site. I am getting closer. Flash Gordon was actually pretty good. I need to comment on it soon. Definite improvement from last week. ---------- Btw, I have gotten special permission from Gilles Nuytens from The Sci-Fi World to use some of his emoticons here at this site: Hope you like these: Stargate SG-1 2 for Jack O'Neill => :jackoneill: :SGJOShoot: 2 for Samantha Carter => 2 for Teal'c => :tealc: :tealcweapon: Daniel Jackson => General Hammond => Jonas Quinn => ![]() Thor (cold) => Replicator => Ra = :ra: Apophis => Anubis => Batterstar Galactica Starbuck => Admiral Adama => Gaius Baltar = Cylon => :cyclon: Number Six => Babylon - 5 Lennier => Londo Mollari => Delenn => ![]() Shadow =>

Have a great trip Intrepid, let us know how it all turns out. Such an undertaking is only for those of unshakable courage. Sure I deal with a room full of kids everyday, but only for a few hours. All day and night? Hmmm. Sounds like you have some good people you work with Tribble. Any co-worker that occasionally forces one to go out for a drink is a good one. Nice emoticons. I'm not a big Stargate fan, but I looooooove Battlestar. Just watched the Serenity movie last night. It was a great way to end the series. It answered a lot of questions about the nature of the setting in the show for me, and it maintained the style and humor of the show. It's great too that they developed River more and showed the circumstances under which Simon rescued her. And how can you not just adore Kylie? I'm officially a Firefly and BGS nut now, which is good because, dare I say it? I'm a little burnt on watching Trek over and over again. I have seen all the episodes from all the series save Voyager multiple times now, and read several Trek novels. It's great to find another sci-fi setting that's as much fun. I like too that BGS and Firefly don't have aliens and Firefly doesn't even have robots except for one in the Serenity movie. It makes the setting less complicated so one can focus on the characters more, although DS9 never had any problems with that. Anyway, the typhoon wasn't too bad. Downed a few more trees in the park across the street. I haven't been biking for a few days. Tina and I mainly camped out and watched movies. I really need to get out there again. I'm getting a bit of cabin fever but it's still raining some. The summer is winding down now, so does anyone have any plans for the fall yet? I might be able to visit the Phillipines if I get some time off, and I pay down my last trip. Who knows. We should schedule a chat time. OK, rambled enough for a while now. Talk to you all soon. Peace and long life fellow Trekkies!

Don't forget to wear your Starfleet uniform when you go.
Sirus, glad you made it through the Typhoon okay. I know what it is like to get burned out a little on Trek. Happened to me a few years ago, but I'm over it. ![]() I really don't have any plans for the Fall except to make a few personal changes. I'm looking forward to that.

You know, I really should have worn a Starfleet uniform to the selection process. I got chosen for the duty, and it's a gang-related murder trial. I am SO NOT thrilled with this. But we all must perform our civic duty when called, so here we go. Will probably take at least through Friday, possibly into next week, depending on jury deliberation. |

Hello. So far so good. I ate Grape-Nuts Trail Mix Crunch with yogurt earlier this morning. Not that that is an indication of my normal eating habits.

Hi everyone! ![]() I hope you are all well. My daughter started kindergarten yesterday. I can't believe she is already school age! It's been hard for me to focus at work thinking about her at her new school. She had a great day yesterday so you would think I'd be fine today. But yesterday I was allowed to walk her to her classroom. Today, I had to let her get out of the car at the curb and walk in by herself. What can I say. I guess I'm an overprotective parent, but I'd feel better if I had actually seen her walk into her classroom. ![]() So, with my lack of concentration at work, I thought I'd stop by here today. Things have finally slowed down a bit - but just a bit - at work. After launching our new software program at the end of June and working through all the bugs since then, things are now running pretty smoothly and I can finally breathe.

Hi everybody! Made it back in one piece. I must admit, I had a good time though. The weekend weather was fantastic along the Jersey shore. I've forgotten what it's like to live near a beach. We would spend the day at the beach and run back into the condo for meals etc. I often wonder about my nieces and nephews and if they stress out about stuff. I think they appreciated the time away from home as I did. So what did I miss.... ? |
