I'm so sorry 24. I'll be thinking about you and sending you my best virtual I know how that feels, but at the risk of being a hallmark card, try to take solace in that you gave her a good, happy and long life (for a dog). Take good care of yourself. Sirus |

24, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. They really do become family members more so than just pets. Here's a virtual hug. It sounds like you were doing all you could to help her and give her the best care.

Just because I've been doing this all summer so far, here's some links to some more high country pics: This hike up Mount Sherman took me through several abandonded mine areas: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g16/Trib...eandSherman.jpg There was one ridge that tested my confidence and fear of heights: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g16/Trib...arrowRidge1.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g16/Trib...arrowRidge2.jpg http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g16/Trib...ndinghikers.jpg But the mountain's top was broad and easy: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g16/Trib...mitapproach.jpg This made the 8th 14er peak I've ascended. The town in the valley below is Leadville, the highest incorporated town in the U.S. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g16/Trib...Atthesummit.jpg Another view from the summit: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g16/Trib...tandMassive.jpg And as if walking up a tall mountain isn't enough of a workout, this family did some push-ups. They said it was their family tradition: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g16/Trib...007/Pushups.jpg |

Thanks! I like the new pictures. A bit more barren landscape than your other pictures though. The first picture has an old wooden structure in it. Was that part of a mining operation? Also, do you ever get silly, beat your chest and do a Tarzan yell when you reach the summit of a mountain?

Intrepid, I saw an Elvis Pez collectors box at Wal-Mart last week. ![]() It had three Pez dispensers. One each representing a different look (Army look, regular weight and the heavy set/side burn look). I figured you might be interested being a big Elvis fan and all. Elvis was a very unique character/entertainer. |

Hey everybody! I think the rainy season is finally over here in Taiwan. The sun has been shining everyday now. It was overcast for a good week while that typhoon rolled over us. But that means is going to be really hot for a while. How is everyone? |

My daughter(yes...my daughter..) is absolutely addicted to that show. We don't get it here(no cable) but I have downloaded last year's episodes and she keeps watching them all the time. |

Yes, there were about 5 old mining sites I passed by on that hike. Some buildings were partially collapsed, and one looked like only the framework was left standing yet. The area was mined for various ores and lead. It's safest to stay on the path and not venture off, as you never know how extensive the mining was below ground and what erosion has done over the years. Mining really does leave an ugly scar on the earth, and it seems to take a very long time before any plants can take root again. Consequently, there were very few animals in the area, too. No, I haven't done the Tarzan yell from a peak top yet, though I have been known to impersonate Julie Andrews on occasion ... "The hills are alive with the sound of music..." Glad to hear Sirus is drying out again. 24, did you get your Elvis Pez? |

Rrright, for "your daughter". *wink wink*Too bad it was the next to the last show. One dance movie that I enjoyed and recommend is Center Stage (2000). Which is what some of the dancing reminded me of. It is rated PG-13 and has older teenager/young adult themes though (relationships, one character has an eating disorder, deals a little bit with sexuality/sensuality), so it might not be something you want your daughter watching yet. You should check it out if you get the chance though. |

I like Elvis, but I don't collect Elvis items/memorabilia. I do have a bag full of Star Wars related Pez dispensers packed up somewhere. ![]() Not that they are worth anything. They were neat to buy at the time though. |

I spoke too soon! Looks like we have ANOTHER typhoon heading our way. Supposed to make landfall tomorrow evening, and I might get Friday and Saturday off because of it! Keep your fingers crossed for 'ol Sirus. Plus Tina might get a couple days off for it too. We could spend a whole weekend together! Those are great pictures TribbleMom! Thanks for sharing them. |

Chatroom is back online. I'lll keep this AddonChat up for a while and see how it goes. I was going to add it initially (before the Chat box was added), but I tried to use something that was non-Java based. However, most of the traditional chatrooms require Java, so I just went with that one. As long as you have Java installed/enabled, then you should be able to use it. Let me know if that one becomes problematic. I have several other chats I can switch it out with. I also added an extra link to the O. Deck (where the chatroom is located) for you up on the navigation bar below the banner. |
