I'm getting depressed over this TV Programming situation. Very little to watch on TV now.

The few shows that I do watch are wrapping up their seasons or have already ended their season.

Yes, I believe I know what you mean. I watch more t.v. (meaning non-DVD or VHS stuff) than any member in my family. They all request what they'd like to watch, and with very few exceptions (such as the Boomerang Cartoon channel--it's 297 in our area) they ask for either tapes or DVDs that we own.

Hey KOT people! Intrepid, I usually roll out of bed around noon. It's been a leisurely six months.

Some people's kids. ;) Remember Sirus, you have to come back to the States one day and maybe work 9-5 again.

Good Morning KOT. I'm officially logging in at 6:52 AM.

So, has MFive been assimilated by the DC crowd yet? Has he been abducted by the Easter Bunny?

My cable company *who shall remain nameless* has this great feature called ON DEMAND. I just discovered it. Yeah, yeah.... I know. ON DEMAND was on way back in the 50's... yeah yeah yeah..... but I'm always behind on these things.

I never realized how much free stuff I can watch on my own time.

There's even a CBS button where I can catch up on all things CBS. That's how I got into this CSI binge and Jericho.

Well ladies and gentlemen, my TV awaits. I'll catch you all during the day sometime.

Fill me in on all the latest. Make it juicy.

If he is gone longer than the week he said he would be gone, then I will start to suspect the Easter Bunny.

Nothing going on except apparently there have been news reports of dancing cows showing up all over the country. I am suspicious of such claims, but in this bizarre world we are living in you never know.

Do you all have a Chick-fil-A franchise near you? They opened a brand new one nearby. I've never really considered it my favorite kind of food but as I was driving by on opening day, there was a cow waving on the street with a sign around his neck that said, "Eat more chikin'". Naturally, when my car had to make a full stop because of the red light, he came up to the window and gave me a coupon for a free chicken sandwich.

I thought the cow was cute. What I really liked was the HUGE inflatable cow that must of been 15 feet tall that was sitting on the roof of the restaurant. I took my 12 year old niece to Chick-fil-A to redeem the coupon and see what else they had to eat there. OMG... there was cheesecake, milkshakes, brownies. You know, stuff you need dairy products to make. Anyway, to make a long story short, I had to bribe my 12 year old niece to ask for a balloon because it had a little stuffed cow attached to it as a kind of weight. She didn't want to do it and was so embarassed.

I got my cow though.

Cows are so cute.

Or is it? Maybe its really the Easter Bunny logged in under Mfive’s handle making us think it is Mfive... :chin:

Quick, what’s Spock’s last name? I know the Easter Bunny won't know this answer. ;)

I love Chic –Fil-A. Their chicken sandwiches are YUMMY!

I have occasionally gone there since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Unfortunately, I don’t go by a location all that often.

Their commercials are pretty funny too.

I love that expression. My grandmother used it often when I was a young child.

Hey, Trekkers! I actually got up at 9:30 this morning, which I know doesn't sound very impressive, but I have been enjoying myself a bit too much the past few months.

Anyhooo, the sun finally came out after about a week straight of rain so I took a nice long bike ride, found a new restaurant to try out, and I still have four hours until I go to work. Guess I'll do some laundry and start that new book. BTW, if anyone is remotely interested in the story of Taiwan, check out a new book called Forbidden Nation. http://www.amazon.com/Forbidden-Nation-His...e/dp/1403969817

It's kinda bizarre living here, I was talking with some friends last night, and one gave a pretty convincing argument that China might invade in the next few years if America is too occupied with other matters. I don't think so, but it is possible. Don't worry, I know where the American embassy is, but it's weird to have to think about something like that for me. As an American, I've never had to think about invasion. Sure there was the big Russia scare in the 80s, but we know now how overblown it was. Can't wait to start this class. I haven't been in school since 2001, so it will be nice to study something again, not to mention all the cute students I saw around while I was signing up. Did I say that out loud?

I really do hope that this is just talk.

It's a complicated situation, and everybody has their own pet theories. China doesn't want to go to war with the US, but if the US isn't willing to confront China over Taiwan, they'll probably take it.

I obviously don't have a crystal ball, but my feeling is that the U.S. would not interfere if China were to take Taiwan. I don't see why any country would want to stand up to a country (China) with a standing army whose numbers are staggering!

But they did, back in 98 when China was firing missles into the Taiwan Strait, the US sent a couple battleships. America recognizes China's claim to Taiwan however since Nixon's visit, but despite the fact that Taiwan is a democratic capitalist country, American interests are more interested in Chinese investment than standing up for democratic principles in this matter.
