This is the first year we are not cooking. We've decided to go out to eat instead. All that cooking and cleaning is something I definitely won't miss. |

We had a non-traditional Thanksgiving dinner this year. My husband smoked a brisket. I fixed baked beans and a couple of cobblers. My brother-in-law smoked a turkey and his wife fixed cole slaw and scalloped potatoes. Early evening, my daughter and I made pin wheels for a snack (we were still WAY to full to eat dinner). We used paper plates...which helped on the clean up process. Other than that, all of the older kids washed dishes after lunch. |
