Well, I was just thinking, it would be nice if members had their own area that only they could see. Just somewhere that members can post slightly more private stuff, for example pictures or discuss other topics. I love the site, 24 you do a great job running it, but sometimes I feel that its a bit too open and I can't always post what I want to. Anyway I thought I might share that...  |

So you want a super secret member’s only forum do you?  I am not opposed to having a member’s only viewable forum since I keep the main site open to the pubic. I’ve always felt that message boards should be open to the public for viewing (to be more inviting…among other reasons), but I also realize that sometimes members want a bit of privacy to discuss and reveal more personal things about themselves. I do want you to feel comfortable posting here. We’ve actually had a couple of different types of member’s only forums over the years. They were rarely used, so I eventually phased them out to free up space. I am not a fan of having forums on the board that don’t get used. Let me think about how to incorporate one back into the layout. I recently subbed a few forums, so that did free up some space on the main board. |

Update: I have added a Members Only forum to the board. It is currently called The Vortex Lounge. You all can post topics there that you would like only members to see. Its important for guests to see that activity is taking place on the board, so please don't hide everything away in that forum. This is not a free for all forum though just because general browsers can't see what you are saying. However, a little more sensitive subject material can be discussed there if you like (board guidelines still apply). Based on feedback and participation, I can update the name, description and/or purpose of the forum in time. Hope you enjoy! |
