It's been a while since we've heard from Lister, Rimmer, Cat and Kryten, the occasionally happy quartet at the center of the British sci-fi cult classic. But a new image reveals that all is well on the well-seasoned mining ship Red Dwarf ... or as well as can be expected.

The 10th series of Red Dwarf—the six episodes, filmed in front of a live studio audience, were shot last winter—is set to premiere this coming fall.

So if you've been hungering for a sci-fi sitcom without your cheesy canned laugh track, you'll just have to hold out a few more months.

I have never seen this series, but I know some others here love it. I might try to check this series out online before the Fall premiere. Can't be that many episodes if the others are as short as this new one.

Most seasons ran six episodes. A few later ones at the height of its popularity ran eight. There are fewer Red Dwarf episodes than there are of Trek TOS! However, they are a treat. Genuinely funny and quite smart.

Hmm, considering the series began with an episode titled "The End" I have a hunch I know what the episode "The Beginning" will mean....

Definitely looking forward to this still.
