Something Wicked This Fae Comes

1st look at Katee Sackhoff (and a very creepy creature) in Riddick

With work underway on his new action flick Riddick, Vin Diesel has been leaking photos left and right via his official Facebook page—and he's finally let loose a peek at his new co-star Katee Sackhoff.

Sackhoff, who is probably best known as the tough-as-nails (and hot-as-a-firecracker) Starbuck from the acclaimed Syfy series Battlestar Galactica, is looking very serious in her new role as Dahl, described as a "Nordic mercenary" out to track down Riddick.

Diesel has also posted a shot of a viscous creature with some mighty large teeth, which looks somewhat reminiscent of a Ridley Scott Alien (purely coincidental, I'm sure ...). Whatever this thing is, it does not look happy.

The story supposedly picks up with Riddick in the years since 2004's Chronicles of Riddick, with the namesake warrior on the run from a new breed of bounty hunters, all the while attempting to save his home world, Furya.

Sound off: Are all these set pics getting you revved up for a return to the Underverse?

I'm sort of lukewarm on the Riddick franchise, but I am definitely looking forward to this next movie. Having just finished BSG, I hope I don't just see Starbuck up there on the screen.
