Syfy has renewed Alphas for a second season.

Syfy renews its hit superhero series Alphas for a 2nd season

Swidden, would you say the show has progressed nicely? If so, I might pick it back up before the second season.

It's getting there. I think "Sanctuary" was better at this point than "Alphas", and you may recall it took a while for that one to grow on too. I still haven't watched it enough to really say it is appointment or recording worthy.

It seems like it could go one of two ways. Either really be a good, worthwhile show or a formulaic knock-off. You can see the potential is there. I kind of feel they are bumping off "Eureka" to focus on this one. And, for me, the latter was usually show that was nice to watch only from time to time throughout the season.

I like Alphas. In the beginning I thought it was real good, then it went into a lull for an episode or two but then it picked up again. Am looking forward to season 2.

Is it that soon? Well not really soon since it hasn't been on for a bit.

Thank you :)

Took me a while to warm up to it. By the end of last season I found myself getting hopeful about it.

It's nice to have some options out there now for sci fi/fantasy fans can watch.

I am very hopeful about the new season.

Watched the premiere, I liked it. Was good, kept my attention. I have the second on the dvr still and have to watch it. I hope the season gets more interesting as it goes along. If the premiere is any indication, it's off to a decent start.

SFX: Syfy cancels "Alphas".

I can't say I am surprised, but I did think this show had potential to grow more.

I wish it had grabbed me more, but I just couldn't get into it for some reason.

I watched a few this season and gave up so it doesn't surprise me.
