Elisabeth Sladen, who played one Sarah Jane Smith, has died of cancer at age 63. She was one of the most enduring of the good Doctor's companions over the decades. Even getting her own show (The Sarah Jane Adventures), more kid oriented since Doctor Who's revival. BBC Article ![]() She was the first companion of the Doctor that I ever came across when I began watching the series in the early 80's on my local PBS station. I think I recently saw her in one of the later episodes. Cancer is a terrible way to go. |
