They're pretty amazing little critters. I get to see lots of them in the mountains in the summer around here. My sister's family has a cabin way up there in the forest, and they always put out nectar feeders along the front deck. The hummers need lots of that sugar water to keep their tiny wings moving so quickly. If you want to see one up close, just wear something red. They'll think you're a big flower. |
